I'm so glad to see we are getting more local ice cream shops. Small local shops allow for more flavor creative freedom. Sampler Ice cream flight - $8.90 - this includes 4 scoops of any flavor you would like. 1/Campfire s'mores (Smokey toasted marshmallow flavor was authentic of a campfire flavor). 2/Honeybud (Lavender and honey, this could be a little soapy for some people but I personally liked it) 3/Berry Cheesecake (Hands down my absolutley favorite. Real cheesecake flavor with fresh balckberries) 4/Golden Passionfruit (Tangy and fruity. This was very refreshing and bright). All flavors were really potent and tasty. Overall I would definitely return and try more flavors. The only recommendation is to allow more than 2 samples per person. I completely understand why there is a sample count restriction because of the long lines but personally would have loved to try more options. I also appreciate the fact that they clearly communicated which ice creams had ingredients that were common food allergies. (e.g., tree nuts and gluten). I just want to add to my review because we love Blacksmith! My parents live in California but come here multiple times every time they visit. It's become their thing with my kids. My dad even met someone from Bountiful who was visiting CA and they bonded over their love of Blacksmith. It's in the perfect location to spend a warm summer night out on Main Street, but also has enough seating that you can visit and stay warm in the winter. No matter what flavor we get, it's amazing! The employees are always smiling and loving their job. And it's a fun, busy place with a fun atmosphere, yet quick service! read more

I've heard so many good things about Blacksmith ice cream and was excited to try it. I was absolutely blown away by how delicious it was! The texture was absolutely incredible! It was creamy, flavorful, and so amazing! They have so many great flavors! I like how the flavors are unique but not too over the top. The ladies working there when we came in were super nice and let us sample what we wanted to. It was a little crazy for me because I had all my young kids with me but they were patient as we tried to decide which flavors we wanted. I got the s'mores ice cream and could not believe how good it was! Seriously one of the best ice cream flavors I've had in my life! While visiting my daughter and her ohana they took us to this wonderful little shop. The ice cream was absolutely amazing so creamy and fresh you could tell it was made with the finest ingredient's. The girl that helped us was very nice and patient as we sampled a few different kinds. The place was busy but we did find a table. The artwork on the walls was tied into the theme of the shop. This is my favorite ice cream shop. You can tell they put a lot of effort into making the ice cream taste like their respective flavors. My personal fav is the campfire s'mores because it literally tastes how it sounds. It's like they churned this flavor over an open flame or something. It's seriously so good and so dangerous. The butter cake flavor is also a go-to for me. It pairs well with the s'mores and has the perfect cake to ice cream ratio. And it's gooey! You really can't go wrong with any of the flavors. They also have a tasting option if you just can't choose 1 or 2. And they sell pints which is awesome. It can get busy but it's worth whatever line they have. Here's the deal: this place deserves a 4.5/5 rating, but since I can't give a half star, I'm rounding down because it's good, but not at the elite level worthy of a 5/5. Unfortunately, due to COVID, there are no samples allowed right now, so you've got to make a decision just based on looks. There are about 12 flavors to choose from, but I went with raspberry--which is super fresh and has raspberry seeds in the ice cream, which gives it a nice texture. The service was friendly, and I'm not rating the dining experience because COVID has made Blacksmith takeout only. One disappointing thing is that Blacksmith charges for any type of cone--$1.00 for a waffle cone and $0.25 for a cake cone. Now this isn't a lot, but it seems like a way to nickel-and-dime customers, and I don't ever enjoy that. I'm okay if you charge for waffle cones, but give everyone the chance to get at least a cake or sugar cone for free. read more

We accidentally found Blacksmith Ice Cream and can say that it has become our families favorite ice cream spot for a couple reasons: 1)The ice cream, of course, is amazing. Their usually flavors are so perfect and the season ones they bring in are through the roof. My wife's go to is Honeybud, which is lavender based. My season favorite is cinnamon roll. They are super smart and have two lines with two different ice cream counters so the line moves really fast even though it's usually pretty long. Cute little ice cream shop, where you first walk in, you get this delicious scent of waffle cone. They offer small batch ice cream flavors, made with local ingredients. Flavors like caramel apple, white chocolate mint and lavender honeycomb are super delicious! This is a small shop, so keep that in mind, if you decide to go after dinner. The seating is extremely limited and they try to encourage social distancing, but since it's gotten cold outside, this isn't really happening. Campfire s'more had the actual toasty-ness of a marshmallow cooked over a fire. Key lime pie tasted just like fresh lime. I tasted a bite from each flavor my group had. My friend and I discovered this adorable ice cream shop and it was amazing! We split a flight sampler which allowed us to try 4 different flavors and everything we got was delicious. We tried the fudge brownie, the gooey butter cake, the peanut butter ganache, and the white mint chip. The gooey butter cake was my favorite. I was so excited to hear that there was another ice cream place in Bountiful so we had to check it out. It's located on Main Street in downtown Bountiful and it's a cute little store front. We went at about 8:30 on a Friday night. We were a little nervous because we saw the line was out the door, but we are glad we didn't let it influence us to not go in because the line went really fast. There are two counters to order from so it's fast and efficient. There are some unusual flavors to choose from, which we loved. We tried the banana Nutella, which was so good! I usually don't love banana flavoring but this didn't taste fake at all. The fresh raspberry was delicious as well. My husband got the butter cake and we all loved it. The mango sticky rice could have had more mango flavor, but the root beer float was great! I also really liked the flavor of the waffle cones. As an Aggie I have a hard time saying this, but this is the best ice cream in the state and maybe in the inter mountain west. I haven't had a bad experience.
