We arrive a little after 7AM, and the lounge was not too busy with small number of travelers. It was spacious with a good amount of seatings. Nothing fancy, but basic lounge that allows you to hang out and relax until your flight is ready to board. They had some food and drink options, and since it was the morning time, they mostly had breakfast type food. I was surprised to see some cup noodles there. I somehow enjoy having a cup noodle at an airport lounge. They had typical drink offerings like coffee, soda, juice, etc. Again, nothing fancy but basic items that I expected to see at an airport lounge. They did have some hot and cold food though, such as turkey bacon, eggs, crudité, yogurt, etc. I thought they had a nice option of different type of food. Something for everyone. They have alcoholic beverage, such as bee and wine. The Primelounge has the flight information on the screens on the wall, so you can keep your eye on your flight status. It is also disabled access, so a traveler on a wheelchair and such can access the ground easily.

This lounge is nicer than the rest of the terminal but feels a little stripped down, with a few stray napkins on the floor etc Service was also somewhat brusque and unfriendly. Smiles are free. It's odd for a lounge not have a restroom inside the lounge. Food was excellent. Both cold and hot items were uniformly well prepared and tasty. Food is unlimited so go here instead of overpriced food options in the main terminal if waiting in JFK during a mealtime.

The place was elegant, tastefully decorated with colorful hanging flowers in certain areas, as well as spacious. There were 2 separate rooms and each had a slightly different ambiance. The one we stayed in was more open and chill, while the other side felt sexy and sultry. There was a Happy Hour menu, which included both food and drink options. I'm always happy to see food being offered. I ordered the Wagyu Meatball Sliders, served with melted cheese. The Wagyu Meatballs were tender, saucy, and full of bold seasoning. Later, my friend and I shared Truffle Fries, which were oh so addicting, satisfyingly crunchy with true truffle taste. Overall, we enjoyed a lovely evening here in this beautiful space.

That range says something important about the club: it can showcase a global electronic headliner alongside a New York hip hop legend whose influence extends far beyond the city. Its tall main room and upper mezzanine make major productions feel intimate within a classic Manhattan footprint. The club is at its best when both levels are full and the entire building begins to move as one. Personally, the defining experience was DJing a New York Cares charity event there. I was never a full-time professional DJ, but I had worked hard enough to earn some remarkable opportunities, and stepping into that booth felt like the pinnacle of that journey. DJing at Marquee was like being a pilot handed the controls of a 787: the equipment felt completely stable, the booth monitor was the best I had ever used, and the Funktion One system delivered enormous bass without piercing your ears. A great sound engineer kept everything balanced, while the charity format gave us unusual creative freedom without managers or promoters dictating what we played. Equally memorable was getting to know Brittany White, who ran events for Tao Group at the time. The charities themselves brought me in: New York Cares at Marquee, as well as Avenue events benefiting Street Soccer and a Jewish philanthropic organization. Brittany oversaw those evenings and always made a point of coming by the booth to kick it. Brittany was among the most honest, approachable, and capable people I encountered in nightlife, with the confidence to run a serious operation without making every interaction feel dramatic. One night at Avenue, which has sadly since closed, we spent time together before DJ MoMA and DJ Reach took over, and passing the decks to artists of that caliber felt surreal. Marquee deserves real credit for continuing to invest in its sound, production, and people, staying current without merely trading on its name.

Some who clearly owned their own planes, some who flew coach. All having a perfect time. 15 minutes ish in the air. Splendid views. Sweet BMW with the luggage loaded and off to the terminal with a tasty beverage in hand. Seriously. Why not. You could save a couple of shekels taking the train, but really? I played there twice, once for a charity event supporting education, health, and community causes, and later opening for Vikas Sapra. Across my DJ years, I was fortunate to play 6 nights at Tao Group venues, including PHD, Avenue, Vandal, and Marquee, 4 of them tied to charitable events. I wasn't skilled or recognizable enough at the time to be booked for prime for-profit nights, so those opportunities meant a lot to me and gave me a window into how professionally Tao ran its venues. PHD had the added advantage of that spectacular rooftop setting, where sunset over New York can naturally turn into a proper nightclub a few hours later. Later, Vikas asked me to open for him on a Thursday, which genuinely meant something to me because I considered him one of the finest DJs working in New York. His depth and breadth of musical knowledge are elite even by global standards; he is an excellent turntablist, and he could move across genres and eras without making the transitions feel forced. He was also among the most polished and professional operators I observed in nightlife, a seriously talented guy who never seemed interested in announcing how talented he was because the work made the case. Unfortunately, it snowed that night, and I eventually handed him an ice cold, nearly empty room that never really got going; I left disappointed and embarrassed, but c'est la vie. Inside the booth, everything still reflected why PHD and Tao Group operate at such a high level. The sound engineer was incredibly cool, the DJ setup was thoughtfully configured, and the lighting behind the booth gave the room real visual energy without interfering with the work of playing. I was probably a little in over my head getting opportunities like that, but you miss 100% of the shots you don't take, and I'm grateful I took mine. PHD remains a terrific New York rooftop and one of those places where the setting, production, and people behind the scenes all make the experience feel considerably more professional than the average nightclub.
