It is…read morelocated next to gate A2, and open 24 hours, which is helpful when your flight is super early or super late. We arrive a little after 7AM, and the lounge was not too busy with small number of travelers. It was spacious with a good amount of seatings. Nothing fancy, but basic lounge that allows you to hang out and relax until your flight is ready to board. They had some food and drink options, and since it was the morning time, they mostly had breakfast type food. I was surprised to see some cup noodles there. I somehow enjoy having a cup noodle at an airport lounge. They had typical drink offerings like coffee, soda, juice, etc. Again, nothing fancy but basic items that I expected to see at an airport lounge. They did have some hot and cold food though, such as turkey bacon, eggs, crudité, yogurt, etc. I thought they had a nice option of different type of food. Something for everyone. They have alcoholic beverage, such as bee and wine. The Primelounge has the flight information on the screens on the wall, so you can keep your eye on your flight status. It is also disabled access, so a traveler on a wheelchair and such can access the ground easily.

Entry is either with a priority boarding pass or a flat fee of $55. JFK services always seem to be a little tatty, even in the new terminals. Even a newish terminal like #4 has a slightly run down, in need of a good cleaning feel. This lounge is nicer than the rest of the terminal but feels a little stripped down, with a few stray napkins on the floor etc Service was also somewhat brusque and unfriendly. Smiles are free. It's odd for a lounge not have a restroom inside the lounge. Food was excellent. Both cold and hot items were uniformly well prepared and tasty. Food is unlimited so go here instead of overpriced food options in the main terminal if waiting in JFK during a mealtime.

That established I must most earnestly recommend this as pretty much the only way to get from Manhattan to JFK. Full stop. Period. The on-line reservation platform is tight, though me wanting to be exactly sure I phoned. And the fellow on the phone was super tight too. As was the Uber bag taxi that charged like my bag was a human but who cares. Life is short. In for a penny in for a pound. Departed JFK that evening at 8. Which meant the hired car would have had to be there by 4. Which means no last day rambles about the City. Arrived the point of departure a little early, just because. And because pre-flight libations in the cozy West Side lounge were on their house and served by lovely happiness with a smile. A few others there. Some who clearly owned their own planes, some who flew coach. All having a perfect time. 15 minutes ish in the air. Splendid views. Sweet BMW with the luggage loaded and off to the terminal with a tasty beverage in hand. Seriously. Why not. You could save a couple of shekels taking the train, but really? You can't take those shekels with you. Leave some with these fine people and treat yourself to something special. Every. Single. Time.

Ummm, amazing experience and I truly owe it all to BILT & BLADE. If you haven't heard of the BILT…read moreRewards program/credit card, allow me to briefly share - it's a credit card with no annual fee that you can use to pay your rent - with no added fees. And, the best part? You get points for doing so. My rent happens to be a lot of money and I am a BILT Platinum member and one of the many great perks is a free ride on BLADE annually. I may live in Los Angeles but I had plans to go into the city in Mid-July and strategically stayed near Newark to 1. Save money and 2. Be able to use my BILT x BLADE perk to get into Manhattan. Ouh la wee it worked perfectly despite some not-so-great weather the morning of my flight. I took an Uber or Lyft (can't remember which) from my hotel near Newark to the BLADE lounge located so close to Newark (on Brewster Road) in the Signature Flight Support area and hung out in the lounge for a while. I used the time to drink way too much coffee, Sprite, and form a plan for my free time in Manhattan. The young adults working in the lounge were so nice and professional. My flight was on time despite the weather and we took off before the weather turned again. Our pilot, Caleb, was fantastic and gave us a smooth ride over to Manhattan. It doesn't really matter that the ride was only five minutes, we were able to see the breathtaking view of Manhattan, Statue of Liberty, and Ellis Island to name a few things. Whether you're going from Newark to JFK or Newark/JFK into Manhattan, I would recommend BLADE. This has got to be the fastest way to get into the city. No traffic, no hassles. Oh, and take some time to enjoy the lounges - lovely decor and drinks. Minimal food (pretzels at best). Thank you BILT for this incredible perk and BLADE for the amazing experience.

Pros: * Easy entry, no line, just show your ticket on your phone * Bathrooms were extremely clean * Food station with both hot and cold options (AM and PM offerings) * Bar on site * Helpful staff (the person working the food station was especially friendly and had a great customer service attitude) * Screens with live train times and arrivals * Very spacious with plenty of seating and charging areas Areas for improvement: * My main issue was that almost everything at the food station has to be requested. Nothing is self-serve except for chips, not even drinks. It's inconvenient to have to ask for something as simple as a soda or tea, especially if you're there for a few hours. Overall: This lounge comes close to many airport lounges in terms of quality. I didn't confirm whether they have showers (I don't think they do). Aside from the lack of self-serve options, I really enjoyed the experience.
