United Club in EWR is located on the second level near Gate A27. As far as I know, this is the only airport lounge in the domestic terminal. I didn't find any other lounge under Priority Pass. I think the Amex Centurion is scheduled to open later in 2026. So, this is it at the moment. The lounge is a good size with full bar, salad bar, sandwiches, pasta and cookies. I like that they have coke zero in the soda dispenser machine. I would have grab a glass of wine but the bar area looks busy. I only had about 30 minutes before my flight to SMF. I didn't have much time to explore and check out other services. Overall, the lounge is well kept and a pleasant experience. read more

We had a little extra time before our connection flight so we visited the United Club. There is a club in each terminal. Each table had a plug for your electronic device devices. Breakfast was being offered at the time we arrived. Help yourself to fresh fruits, bread, bagels, cereals, eggs, yogurt, pork and turkey, sausage, sausages, as well as veggie burgers and breakfast burritos. A nice restful stop. read more

Aimed to use my lounge pass before it expires, and I am please with the service all together. Very efficient staff with clean up and serving you at the bar. I was especially pleased with the bartender, Calvin. He was very friendly and personable. He asked for everyone's order sitting at the bar, about 5 minutes before the bar officially opened, so that at 6am he could deliver our drinks without much delay. The United Lounge in Terminal A at Newark Airport is a great place to relax before a flight. It is new, spacious and has plenty of seating even during peak hours which makes it much more comfortable than waiting in the main terminal. It is technically not free, but it is a solid perk if you have a United or Star Alliance account. It is also a convenient way to use a nice restroom and fill up on food before boarding. Food: The chicken noodle soup is surprisingly good and feels like something you would get from a restaurant. The tongs are always too small for the sandwiches which seems to be the case at every lounge, but the sandwiches themselves are decent and about a step below what you would expect from a place like Subway. I appreciate the variety in drinks which includes soda, coffee, water and juice. The cookies and brownies are also consistently good. Service: The employees are always courteous and attentive. They are constantly going around cleaning and are ready to help when needed. Overall, this is a very comfortable and reliable lounge experience and worth visiting if you have access. read more

Came here to buy some time before my flight departed. Man oh man was I in for a treat, they had so many options for food and drinks. I full service bar for beer and cocktails. You don't have to lift a finger here, there are people constantly coming to take your trash away. This club is fairly new due to terminal A being newly built. This lounge used to be good but no longer. Staff doesn't seem to care about anything. Bar opened at 6 , I was seated there waiting since 5:30. Bartenders came in and proceeded to gossip with each other and text on their phones. Never asked if anyone seated at the bar needed to order. The two self serve capacino machines were down because their grounds drawers needed to be emptied which tells you they sat that way since the night before. No hot food at all till nearly 6:00. Newark Liberty's new Terminal A and new United Club are night and day from the old falling apart Terminal A and its dismal, 1990s United Club/Red Carpet Lounge/Presidents Club. The club is in an awesome setting with full floor to ceiling window views of the gates and tarmac. The lounge is spacious but already overcrowded. It was tough to find a seat at 6 pm. The food has improved. I counted 4 hot items plus 2 soups. It used to be just sandwiches and salads. One surprise is no escalator to the club level. One elevator is not enough for 3 airline clubs. Stairs are available for those that don't mind 2 flights. Overall I was impressed. It's nothing like the large United Club in Terminal C near C123 or other Star Alliance member clubs, but a vast improvement for EWR. read more

Hubby and I visited this lounge on a Thursday at around 6:45. It was already pretty packed at that time. Even with all the people, they kept everything well-stocked. The breakfast was better than I expected. For hot food, they had eggs (scrambled and egg whites, and egg whites are rare!) sausages (pork patties and chicken (?) links), home fries, and even pork roll, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwiches. They also have the typical breakfast staples like bagels, toast, oatmeal, fruit, and yogurt. It was a good variety. Lounge access is $59 a person. We were flying Air Canada, which is a partner airline. Instead of buying passes in person, they made us go into the United app to purchase them, which was easy - so just make sure you already have the United app downloaded and ready to go. I used my Amex Plat airline fee credit towards the passes, so it didn't cost us anything - so I don't think it would really be worth it if I didn't have the credit. If you're looking for a quiet place to recharge/fuel up for a flight, this is probably not it. But I would gladly use my credit again here in a heartbeat. I'm a morning fly guy, and this lounge gets there for the cash at that time of day. The staff is friendly. The place is clean and well-appointed. The breakfast food is as good as any hotel. I was particularly pleased that they served a pork roll sandwich, which is very much a NJ thing. The bar opens at 6 a.m., which is a big deal to folks like me who are deathly afraid of flying. Finally, there are plenty of comfy spots that allow you to stretch out and charge your devices before hopping on the plane. This is a very busy lounge. I have visited it on Thursday during lunch time and it was near its capacity. They do a great job staffing the lounge so getting a drink or a bite to it will not be a problem. It's not quite up to par with the real top tier of airport lounges, but the new United Club in terminal A is excellent. Great views and light with the lovely position over the main terminal. Not too loud, but limited options for a real quiet space. If you are very early or have a delay, there are no options for serious lounging, but there are a variety of seating options depending on if you need to get some work done or be a beverage goblin. Food is not "international Asian/Middle East carrier" quality but it's at least as good as what you can get at a restaurant in the terminal below, as long as you like the one hot protein option (plus hot sides) they have on offer. Service here has been a step up from other United Clubs in Newark in my experience. It does get busy but I have not been turned away yet. This is probably because Terminal A has a relatively light presence from United and it's mostly their smaller planes that use this terminal. A brand new lounge in the new EWR Terminal A. Probably the best feature is the location on the Mezzanine with a great view of the tarmac through huge plate glass windows. Everything else is on par with amenities featured in most United Clubs at this point. (full bar, nice selection of food, etc) The signage is not great, as I walked past it twice before I found the stairway/elevator. And the exit gates are placed a good distance from the entrance gates - not insignificant when you are trying to stuff your face and run to the gates. This is a great lounge in new Terminal A. It's very airy and open and during the ten times or so I've used it, there's always a seat and place to do some work. Plenty of outlets and strong WiFi. Food choices are pretty good and the staff keeps it looking good. The self serve Illy espresso machines are great. The bar is large and well staffed. The bathrooms are oddly small, like they were an afterthought. It would have been great if they put showers in here, but maybe it's because United's international flights are out of C? A welcome addition to EWR and on par with the Terminal C lounge, plus a great tarmac view. Though it was busy, there was available seating and dirty plates were cleaned up quickly and the food was constantly replenished. United Club lounge in Terminal C, the one near Gate 123 - probably the worst airline lounge I've been in. First, the United website says admission is included for domestic biz class passengers on Star Alliance airlines, but it turns out that DOESN'T include United. Then we're told we can't buy day passes with miles, only cash - $59 per person. The staff, both at the entrance and inside the lounge, were indifferent, at best, bordering on hostile. The lunch buffet was paltry, even pathetic - a few warmed over dishes and ordinary sandwiches. The only complimentary red wine was a putrid red blend - others cost additional. Exactly one dessert offering - very tired looking brownies. Thanks, United, but no thanks - I'll go back to Delta and American for domestic flights from now on! read more

Today is my first time using the United Club during travel. I must say that it is definitely worth getting a day pass, especially if you have a long layover. This is a new lounge opened probably early 2024 (it was under construction when I was here in Nov 2023). My first impression was excellent. It is good size and surpassing the old one that was here before (I don't know how they made it bigger?). It has plenty of seats, booties and sofa for a lot of people. They have 2 food bars - one for cold and one for hot food - plus a regular alcoholic beverage serving bar. The breakfast was buffet style and had everything critical for a hearty meal. I enjoyed the fruits and the mini bagels after stuffed myself silly with scrambled eggs and sausages. The staff were friendly and quick. They made sure all used plates are collected quickly and yet not aggressively trying to take the plates from your hand. I appreciated the services and friendliness. It was a great place for us to fill up our water bottle for the flight. Highly recommended. read more

This United Club near gate A27 has automated checkin machines at the entrance that helps expedite the process of getting into the club. It is bright due to its design that allows a lot of natural light to come in, and the food and drink area is well maintained with good food and drink options. There was a staff walking around with a platter of small finger snack to people seated, and another staff pushing a cart with ice water and cups offering me water.
