Rob and Curtis, the owners, do everything they can to show you how much your business is appreciated. This is a small tap house that has one thing they are passionate about, and that's BEER!! They also happen to be pretty damn good with food too. During covid they have done everything they can to ensure the safety of their guests including adding a covered patio with heating, and a new air filtration system that cleans the air indoors. If you want great recommendations on new beers to try, this is the place. Most of what they have on tap is Colorado crafts, and they carry some local spirits as well. From the minute we walked in we were catered to, and shown attention. The manager, Rob, came up to me and introduced himself before I even got a seat. He answered all my questions, and even remembered my name so that when my wife arrived, he could take her straight to my table. The nachos were fantastic, we ate out on the patio on a lovely night. Be careful with the manager? Supervisor? Shaved head. If he asks you to "MOVE OVER" at the bar and you are feeling shocked that a manager would speak to you in that way...you will be kicked out. My husband and I were moving over and just not fast enough by a second and he literally kicked us out and asked us to never come back. My husband, daughter and I went to Blake's for the first time tonight and it was wonderful!! Our server Renee, was awesome and answered any questions we had. We've been going to Blake's since shortly after it opened. Since it opened, they have evolved the food and beer menu based on customer feedback. The changes have been great. Their rotate their food specials to keep it interesting. We enjoy the atmosphere, the owner, and the great staff. We are very happy that Blake's is making it through the pandemic. We've been there since they re-opened for dine in. They are taking great care to maintain social distancing in the restaurant, and now have an outdoor dining area. The family and I decided to try Blake's for the first time sInce they opened. I'm sorry to say that it was so disappointing. First, let me say that the service was great! Our server checked In with us right away and was great. However, the food has a lot of room for improvement. It feels fairly standard that a $13 (or $15 for the bbq version) burger should have a variety of sides to choose from. No options but some potato chips which in my opinion is really cheap. No fries? Really? How about tots, slaw, beans, anything? My son and I both ordered burgers cooked medium and they both were served burnt and very well done. We sent them back and mine was still wrong when it came back. Ugh. I think at least one of the burgers should have been comped after all of this. I know the place is new but if my family is going to spend $75.00 for a dinner for 3 than I'm expecting the food to be at a much higher here level of quality than what we got. I can get almost the same burger at Five Guys for half the prIce and I get fresh fries with it... I hope they can make some changes or that may not last long here. read more

My first time at this beer/sports bar that is in its 2nd week opening. There are 40 taps and a great variety of beers. Enjoyed the food very much. Three guys shared the Beer Cheese Beef Brisket Nachos which was outstanding!! Two of us then each had a pastrami sandwich which the owner suggested and it was very tasty. I went to this taphouse a few days ago with my friend and we have been excited to visit this restaurant for a long time! The beer was awesome, the food was good and the atmosphere was comfortable. However, the overall service was not good. Upon entering, I was greeted very coldly by the manager and after asking to move due to a cold draft it was treated like a major inconvenience. Throughout the course of our meal our waitress was very short with us and not hospitable. We felt rushed to finish our drink and our meal because it felt as though she was pushing us out the door. We came in at 8:15, unaware of the hours of the restaurant, and quickly ordered. When we asked if we could stay until 9 p.m. (their closing hours) she responded with a long pause and then said "I mean, we won't kick you out but..." very clearly implying we were not welcome to finish our meal at our own pace. In addition, the restaurant closed at 9, but the waitress turned off the open sign at 8:40. I understand that people who work in restaurants and bars have a lot to do at the end of their shift and that it is nice to get a head start on your closing tasks so that you can get out early. I used to work at a restaurant so I personally understand that it can be an inconvenience to your evening. However, we felt very unwelcomed by the service at this taphouse and it will impact our likelihood to return. read more

We had burgers and sandwiches, and honestly, we are just disappointed that we haven't been here more. See you at Blake's again soon. We will definitely go back for the beer! But the food was definitely not worth writing home about. Pretty sure the guacamole on the nachos is store bought and is 50% not from avocados. Which is a real shame cause everything else looked like it was prepare in house. So why serve horrible guacamole, which is one of the easiest things to make. Also had the wings. They weren't bad, a bit more fatty then I like, but good flavor. Service was ok. This is a hidden experience! My wife and I finished up shopping at a local King Soopers and we just did not feel like going home and cooking, so we stopped into Blakes Taphouse. We were craving the bite and fullness of dark beers and we were not disappointed. We got a flight of the Graham Cracker Porter, a Milk Stout, the Sad Panda Stout, and the "Wake Up the Dead" Stout. All of them were so yummy with and exactly what you would anticipate based on their names and descriptions. After the flight, we had pints of the Milk Stout. For food, we ordered the special, which was the mushroom truffle burger. Any chef would be proud to produce that burger. It was the right balance of spicy meat flavors with the truffle and garlic, with perfectly sautéed chewy mushrooms and cheese. What was a conveniently solution for dinner at the end of a hard day turned into a wonderful experience of great food with great beer. read more
