Last year was much better. Tree selection has already been picked through, it was a little surprising to see the lot so empty already the first week of December, had some gorgeous huge trees though. But the worst part is the horrid woman working the counter. Last year was such a sweet older white lady. This year was an older hispanic lady that was so rude and sarcastic to most of the customers while I waited and just overheard her attitude. Then the way she spoke to the poor younger guys working around the lot was just disgusting. So much sarcasm and ordering them around without any respect. We tried to tip the kid helping us and she flipped out saying they don't allow it. Who is she to decide that? We tipped anyway. So sad, ruining the happy energy of buying a Christmas tree for the holidays. Hopefully next year is better, if not I'm done with this spot. Negativity is the last thing I want for the holidays while spending over $300 on a tree. read more

Superb service, excellent tree selection, and prime location. Love that it's a family business. We were helped by multiple people, but were especially assisted by Blake's nephew, Kayson, and another guy named Brody, who I assume was his twin brother. Brett, who just oozed with the Xmas spirit, explained the newfangled highfalutin tree stands. The friendly woman at the counter, Abi, also expertly helped us to navigate payment and made us feel like we made the right choice in trees. Initially, I was worried that their lot is next to a Taco Bell and that I would only be smelling and thinking about scrumptious chalupas during the shopping experience. But the big tent helped to maximize the Christmas scent while still ensuring adequate ventilation. Best Xmas tree buying experience I've ever had. Every staff member who we talked to went above and beyond to help us. Matt helped us first and what a nice guy. A retired police officer with 6 kids! He patiently helped us as we took way too much time choosing a family tree than took family photos for us and emailed them to us so we didn't have to touch eachothers phone in the Covid era. I searched for my tree on a rainy day in Dana Point. The people here were so joyful and knew a great deal about the types of trees. The tent smelled like perfume of balsam and a coniferous forest. Going here is an experience for the family - they have arranged events with music and Santa and fun on different nights. This lot sells 25 foot trees and larger not the Home Depot little ones you tie on the top of your car.
