    Turtle Molten Bundt Cake
    Blayne B.

If you are looking for something to eat around the area and unsure, I would definitely recommend this place. The blackened salmon was really well seasoned, soft, and warm. 8.3/10. The baked potato was good, nothing crazy just a regular baked potato. 6.9/10. The Turtle Molten Bundt Cake was solid. I wouldn't come here just for it, but it was a good dessert. Warm and soft. Id give it a 7.4/10. Not bad, not great. My only complaint I had was that the wait between finishing the entree and ordering dessert was quite a while for seemingly no reason. But service before was consistent. It looked like they only had 2-3 waiters, so I wont blame them too hard. The waiters were friendly and actually felt like they were glad you were eating there. The view from my seat was really cool with the lake in the background. Just be careful with the sun shining super bright through the window. Overall, a really good place to eat and a good experience. Out of all the places Ive eaten this week while traveling through Washington, this was definitely one of the best. I would come here again for sure.

Extraordinarily attentive and professional service in a comfortable setting. Our server Ahtziri was terrific! She could give lessons in customer service! She also helped make what at first was a choice of convenience (we were staying at the Resort across the street) be a dinner to remember. The food was excellent. Price was moderate, but we expect that in such a tourist-focused locale. My wife and I both had the salmon Caesar salad--delicious and well presented. My wife's came with the dressing on the side as she requested and it was so tasty she ended up putting some on! (My wife, as a rule, tends to take her salad without dressing...)

We were hiking the local trails and decided to eat here after working up an appetite. The restaurant itself is on the older side but the customer service is great. It has a great lake vibe going on. They definitely want to make your meal as pleasant as possible. We ordered a deluxe hamburger, New York strip steak and a cup of clam chowder. All were cooked to perfection had great flavor and were very filling. Just be sure to check the open times, just like a lot of other places in the area they open and close at various times throughout the day. We do regret not trying the salmon, other diners salmon meals looked really good.

Best meal we've had in our 2 week roadtrip to every town in the Olympic peninsula The food around Olympic NP was one of the biggest let downs. Until I came here. I ate my food in probably 2 seconds. It was soooo good and the inside is clean and super cute.

Best meal we've ever had in our visits to the Lake Quinalt area. I'm not a professional fish biologist (although I've always wanted to play one on TV), but I know a perfectly blackened salmon steak when I see one. Upon closer examination I made 100% sure it was juicy on the inside. My wife's baked salmon was perfectly cooked as well. Seasonal broccoli could have used some seasoning or caramelized onions or something. Special dessert of blueberry house-made cheesecake was awesome: the compote wasn't overly sweet so it ended a fine meal overlooking the lake. Wines by the glass were inexpensive ($10) but also limited to house selections of Chardonnay (a bit watery), Pinot Gris (crisp and appley), and the Riesling (didn't try). A wider white wine selection (and maybe flights?) would be an improvement since salmon is the name of the game here. Great service and seating is oriented to try to give as many customers as possible a view of Lake Quinalt even if you're not seated by a window (we weren't). Full bar too.

You MUST order salmon at the Salmon House! And maybe their spaghetti too :) We drove past this lovely restaurant overlooking a lake on our way to a waterfall. We didn't have signal, but I imagine if you're one of the residents at the nearby inn, you have wifi access. We came around 4pm, and there was no wait. Our waiter was super friendly and recommended based on our preferences. I don't think you can go wrong with any of the choices. Prices are on the higher side, but this is definitely a more rural area and it was hard for us to find a place to eat. By the time we were done eating at around 6pm, there was a LINE out the door... and this was a weekday too! A pretty popular spot, don't miss it as you tour the beautiful state. Ty for reading :^)

Salmon with rice (I split a blackened salmon and jelly salmon- both delicious)

Scenic restaurant along the shore of a lake. Food here was delicious and reasonably priced. We had the blackened salmon and jelly salmon (blackened but with a sweet and spicy sauce). Both were delicious but I preferred the jelly salmon.

    Delicious chipotle salmon.

Wonderfully delicious salmon in the Olympic National Park area. Located on Lake Quinault, the restaurant has beautiful views of the lake, trees, and the beautiful nature of the area. The restaurant specializes in Salmon, which is the most popular PNW fish. And it delivers. Try the chipotle crust salmon. Perfect blend of sweet/spicy. The fish was fresh, perfectly cooked and tender. Service was also friendly and attentive. The blackened salmon is another hit.

The place is adorable, super clean and has the best view of Lake Quinault!!! Absolutely outstanding gorgeous views! The food is awesome! I had the blackened salmon with pepper jam and my husband had the thyme salmon. Both were absolutely perfectly cooked and the blackened salmon was also perfectly prepared, which is not easy! The staff was amazing! This was middle of winter at Lake Quinault/Olympic National Park, there was one server for a full restaurant, and he was super kind, funny and clearly was proud of the food he was serving. The Salmon House also has a full bar. Highly recommend it! Will definitely come back!

Great food, great ambience and great service. They were super friendly and accommodating with specific needs. We came in NYE without a reservation and it was not crowded , we didn't even wait. The food came with minimum wait. We ordered salmon for adults and pasta and burgers for kids. All good in general Great view to Lake Quinault

The Salmon House is located in Quinault right on the shores of Lake Quinault. This is a great place to enjoy dinner with a view. Salmon House is open in the evenings and serves a variety of seafood, steaks, chicken, pasta and salads. They also specialize in salmon (obviously). I had been in Washington all week hiking and sightseeing at both Olympic and Mount Rainier National Parks and was looking forward to a nice sit-down meal on the final night of my trip. I ordered the Tempura Prawns with some rice and vegetables. The service was nice and my overall experience was great. Afterwards, I was able to step outside and catch the sunset over Lake Quinault. Coming here was a relaxing way to end my trip.

Lack of business and serviceable parts furthered this misfortune. Thus the lacking stars. 4 stars if your needs are more immediate and merely some beer n chips or something processed to cook with a Colman or hot plate.

Our party included 3 adults - my son, daughter and myself. Our waitress brought drinks and took our order at 5:06 - a promising start. Unfortunately, that was the last time we saw her until our food arrived at 5:58. No check-ins, no refills, no updates, nothing. When my daughter unwrapped her silverware, the utensils were filthy with food caked on from the previous user. We understand mistakes happen, so she simply grabbed a clean setup from the empty table beside us and moved on. In hindsight this was a red flag. The real disappointment was the food. My son ordered the Spicy Shrimp Pomodoro Pasta. The dish arrived with exactly four shrimp and what can only be described as a child-sized portion of angel hair pasta placed in the center of an oversized plate. The shrimp themselves were seasoned well enough, but the pasta was devoid of any seasoning whatsoever. It was bland to the point of being unfinished. My daughter and I both ordered the Chicken Marsala, a dish we regularly enjoy at many restaurants. What arrived was a very small chicken cutlet (I cannot in good faith call it a chicken "breast" as stated in the menu) with sauce, a scoop of mashed potatoes, and a grilled vegetable. The whole dish was lukewarm at best. The chicken was shockingly dry - genuinely some of the driest chicken I've ever been served in a restaurant. It honestly tasted as though it had been cooked days before and reheated. We've had beef jerky with more moisture. At that point we wanted to speak with our waitress, but once again she was nowhere to be found. No doubt hiding in the kitchen because she had to have known what she was serving us. We ate what we could because we still had a drive of more than two hours ahead of us and did not want to stop again elsewhere. We refused to let the experience completely ruin our evening, but it absolutely put a damper on what was supposed to be a nice dinner for my son's last night in town. For a dinner that ultimately cost well over $125, the overall experience was incredibly disappointing. Long stretches with no service, dirty utensils, and extremely dry entrées are simply not what one expects at that price point. Poor service can happen anywhere. Serving food of this quality while seemingly absent from the dining room altogether reflects a much larger issue with how customers are being treated. We frequent the Olympic Peninsula, but we will never eat at Kalaloch Lodge again.
