We originally planned to hike Cape Flattery, but thick coastal fog had other ideas. Looking for a place to grab lunch, we found this small, unassuming restaurant in Neah Bay--and we're so glad we did. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with genuine hospitality. We even had the pleasure of meeting Pat herself, and she made us feel like longtime friends. That welcoming atmosphere made the experience just as memorable as the food. We ordered the famous Indian taco, served on fresh homemade fry bread, and it absolutely lived up to its reputation. The fry bread was warm, perfectly crisp on the outside, soft on the inside, and piled high with delicious toppings. We couldn't leave without trying the sweet fry bread dessert, and it was incredible. Warm, lightly crisp, and topped with cinnamon and sugar, it was the perfect ending to an outstanding meal. Pat's Place is cash only, so be sure to plan ahead, but don't let that stop you from visiting. If you're exploring Cape Flattery, Neah Bay, or anywhere on the Olympic Peninsula, this restaurant is absolutely worth the short detour. Great food, wonderful people, generous portions, and authentic local hospitality made this one of our favorite dining experiences of the trip. This particular day we visited La Push & stopped in here for a much-needed meal. The staff was friendly and patient as we perused their surprisingly hefty menu of items. They have some wonderfully delightful signage inside and of course, a bit of Twilight memorabilia. It's not an overly large place so I imagine during their touristy season things can be hectic, but we had no problems parking or waiting. If you're in the area, dig in to some good grub. Their Twilight milkshakes are especially tasty.

Even looking through the reviews beforehand, so many of the Elite reviews read like the same forced AI review saying how amazing everything is. After actually eating here, I seriously question how this place has such a high rating. Easily one of the worst meals we had on the entire trip. We had a great stay recently at the Lodge celebrating our anniversary. The last time we were here…read morewas over a decade ago and we stayed in the cabins. This time we booked a couple of nights in the Lodge itself. It was wonderful to be able to go on hikes such as Mount Storm King and then come back to the Lodge later for a hot meal and cold drink. First I'd like to address the Lodge accommodations. The rooms are indeed small and the bathrooms are shared. Neither of these facts were problematic. Neither my wife nor I ever had to wait to use a bathroom (and there is also a bathroom downstairs if we did) or the shower. Yes the walls are thin and yes you might hear the neighbor snoring. It's a 100+ year-old Lodge and National Historic Place!! If your idea of roughing it is checking Into the Four Seasons without reservations, then maybe you should look elsewhere. Was the bed cozy? Yes! Get cozy! We ended up eating a lunch and two dinners at the restaurant. The full dinner menu is available from the bar as well, so even if reservations are full you can get the same meal in the lodge or on the enclosed patio. For lunch we had the sliders and a cup of chowder, both of which were wonderful. For dinner, one night we had the roasted wild-caught sablefish and braised pork shank, both of which also well prepared and very well presented. I appreciate a good plate presentation and the chef did not disappoint. For dinner on the second night, we had the sablefish again (it was that good) and the risotto with prawns. I had high hopes for the risotto but honestly it was the only disappointing meal we had at the Lodge. It was too salty for my liking and prawns were a little dry. The service, at the front desk, at the bar, and at the restaurant were all top notch. The staff seemed happy to be there, were eager to please and delightful conversationalists. I think a new concessionaire took over management of this location recently and they have done a great job creating a solid park experience. Finally, we enjoyed a couple of craft cocktails and glasses of wine during our stay and all was well-paired and well-made. Five stars and definitely recommend eating and staying at the Lodge.

He wasn't causing any problems or doing anything disrespectful. The whole interaction was just unnecessarily rude. The ordering made absolutely no sense either. I tried ordering onion rings and was told I couldn't order any more food, while the people next to us were literally still ordering food. Then I was told I could order them for takeout, so I sat back down, and suddenly I was told takeout wasn't allowed either. I ended up waiting around 40 minutes just to order. The crazy part is some of the food was actually really good. The mac and cheese balls were really good and so were the fries. The elk burger was easily the worst thing we ordered and basically just tasted like a regular burger. I probably would've rated the food pretty well on its own, but the service completely ruined the experience. The place inside is also pretty nice. They have a nice bar and pool tables.
