I found this place at the Phoenix airport. I was in a rush waiting for my flight to board and took my chances ordering from this place. The service was quick and it took about 5 minutes to get my meal. I got a vegetarian burrito and WOW. I can easily say this is the best meal I have had at an airport. Love this place. We came for lunch. We had the Mahi Mahi tacos and the taco salad. Both very good. The tacos came with charro beans or black and a lime cilantro rice that had grilled corn in it. My friend was raving about how she loved the rice. I really enjoyed the taco salad. It had ground beef on top with crispy tortilla strips. It also had nice chunks of avocado. Good portions too. It was our first visit to this restaurant. I was impressed with the decor and wait staff but the food was quite mediocre. 'The Margarita " was good . Shrimp fajitas were just ok as were the shrimp tacos. Shrimp was maybe a day too old. I would come back to hang- at the bar but there are better food options. read more

The lady wanted some tacos... I said bet. Found this place, bruh.. fire. Tacos are a solid 3.8/5 the carne asada is the way to go.. overall grade is a 4.1/5. Environment is great, food is like seriously fire, service was good, margaritas.. you guessed it, stupid fire. I go to a lot of places and feel like I am rushed. I feel like so many places are just a Cattlecall. Get them in/get them out. I sit down and within 30 seconds someone is not only greeting me, but wanting to take my order. Blanco was not like this at all. In fact, I think their timing was perfect. I would say each time they gave us at least five minutes to look over the menu...maybe a little longer. Now onto the food... first I just want to say that, for me personally, if you are a Mexican restaurant and you can't even do good chips and salsa, I won't be back. However, the chips here are perfectly done. Warm with just the right amount of oil and salt. And the salsa is pretty damn good too. I ordered a spicy margarita. I think it was the chipotle pineapple? Sorry if I'm confusing it with another place, but in either case, the margarita was pretty good. Not the best I've had, mind you, but pretty good. My husband and I weren't that hungry so we ordered a cheese crisp to share with some kind of a steak on it with caramelized onions and avocado. Best cheese crisp I've ever had! Bar none! To be honest we were really hungry and the reviews looked great. Sadly we were let down. The fries were nasty and had a nasty taste as if they had been fried in heavily re-used oil. I was in Phoenix for a conference, came here for dinner two nights in row, and cannot recommend enough! I am writing this review two months after visiting and am still grateful for my incredible server, Guadalupe! She and the managers went above and beyond to accommodate my severe allergies, which typically make dining out nearly impossible - but not at Blanco! The food and frozen drinks were outstanding, and Guadalupe just radiated positive energy! I don't think I've ever seen a restaurant employee appear so genuinely excited upon finding out it was someone in my party's birthday! This was my 2nd time here last night. The wait was long since it was super busy everywhere downtown. 1hr 30 mins wait time that turned to 2 hrs and 30 mins until we got our table. Not the restaurants fault at all, me and best my friend got an seat at the bar until we were notified our table was ready. The skinny margarita was amazing and best I've ever had. The bartenders are super attentive and gave amazing service! Since we waited for quite a while we got our appetizer comped and our parking comp since it was passed the 2 hour free parking limit due to the wait. The restaurant just has that relaxing and unique atmosphere everything just perfect. The food was amazing forgot to take pics. Ordered the cheese crisp short rib macha with charred onions and guacamole it was the best cheese crisp you can get. Order the braised chicken and carna asada bowls with extra rice. Although the food was great, we will never be returning to this location thanks to our very rude server, Chelsea W. After being seated for 10 minutes & not having 1 person let us know they'd be with us, we kindly asked who our server was so we could get water & order drinks. She said "it's me" & kept walking without giving us the time of day. When she finally came back, we ordered drinks & also said we were ready to order food. She replied with "what, are you guys in a hurry or something?" When our drinks came out, I asked for some straws & she again replied very sassily "I'll have to get some, I don't just carry those around with me".. Our food came out fast & it was delicious - only plus. I ended up having to ask someone else for straws. When she came to check on us, she reached OVER my plate to grab the straw wrappers on the table.. When it was time to pay, she brought back our card & receipts to sign. We had the restaurant copy sitting on the table while we waited for someone in our group to return from the restroom. She came over, looked at the receipt, picked it up & said "I need the signed copy" & put it back in the cup. Our mom told her that we hadn't signed it yet because we were waiting - never have I had a server grab the receipt while still sitting at the table. Overall, we were super disappointed with our experience & will never return to this location. It's super embarrassing when you rave about a restaurant & then bring your sister & mom for the first time to only be treated like garbage. Called and the staff was very nice but since I'm an out of town traveler without a car - won't be going back. Fajitas with no tortillas is not really fajitas so I can't say if they are any good.
