The food, we HIGHLY recommend the burrata pizza. If you're into sliders, they do not disappoint they are very juicy and flavorful. Brews: so I was the designated driver, and did not drink but my wife and her brother enjoyed the variety of beers especially the guava and tropical flavors (my wife) and the darker beers for my brother. We were in the area and came here for Happy Hour. Always a little bit annoyed though when there's restricted areas to eat Happy Hour (only at the bar, and outdoors). My husband enjoyed going to the beer counter, and trying out different beers. They give you a card, so you can see how much you are spending as you fill up each time. Happy Hour food and drink menu is pretty generous- we had chicken wings which were deep fried, but not overly battered, comes with choice of two sauces. Also had the Tikki Tikki sliders, which came with thick, crispy chickpea patties. Off of the happy hour menu, we had some salads -Beet and Goat cheese salad was pretty good, liked the avocado and plenty of beets, but could've used much less of the huge pieces of raw onion. Came here for lunch on a Monday afternoon and we sat outside in the patio. There was no wait and dogs were allowed in the patio. The patio was located on the side of the restaurant in the hallway to the parking garage. It was covered and there were heaters. The food had a mix of American and Indian flavors such as chicken tikka sandwich, burgers, nachos, pizza and more. They had a variety of beer selections where you get a card to slide on the beer tap that you want to try and get charged on the volume. We ordered the blast angus burger, chicken tikka sandwich and crispy chicken burger with fries and onion rings. There was an additional charge for the onion rings but it worth the price. Fries were also good. Crispy chicken burger was huge and it came with an egg. Blast angus burger was decent and the pattie seemed like it was over cooked. Chicken tikka sandwich had a lot of flavor and the jalapeño were spicy. Overall, the food was good, price was on the higher end, workers were nice, beer was good, and I would come back to try their own food and beer. We had a lovely late lunch here with our dog Zoey in the dog-friendly patio. The service was friendly and efficient. There is a convenient covered lot with free parking right next to the restaurant. If you drink beer, they give you a card that allows you to dispense the brew of your choice and tallies them for you. My husband had one of their dark beers and enjoyed it. We shared a beet salad, and it was unusual, but good: with arugula, onions, walnuts, tomatoes, and avocado. There was a dressing on the side, but I thought it tasted better without it. My husband enjoyed his burger, indicating that the bun held up. The hash browns that came with it were wonderfully crunchy. I had the butter chicken pizza; it was mild, with good flavor. We came to Blast & Brew for happy hour after work. Their food is standard - nothing too crazy. They have a lot of Indian fusion pizzas. I did really enjoy their margarita flights. There is a strawberry, mango, cucumber jalapeño and watermelon. I would rank them: Mango, Strawberry, Watermelon, Cucumber Jalapeño. The cucumber jalapeño tasted straight up like pickle juice not a big fan. But the others tasted great! There is street parking or a parking lot that you can park in. There's are many other businesses in the plaza as well. Service was not the greatest here. We were seated in the patio and the table was SO sticky. We asked for the waitress to wipe it down and she said that's just how the tables are. I would have appreciated if she at least wiped it down again. We were very uncomfortable sitting there. This used to be my favorite place until earlier this year, esp. for lunch 2-3 times a week, in part because of their friendly staff and amazing lunch special featuring closest to home-cooked daal and rice (plus salad and fresh naan), with balanced spices, I have had in the Bay Area. However, that was abruptly stopped one day, after which I didn't quite have a reason to visit for lunch. I still visit occasionally on evenings, but those tend to be not very fun, partly because the place has terrible acoustics, and things get loud when there is a big crowd, especially since some patrons don't seem to be able to hold their liquor well or control their volume outside of their office. A lot of great staff has left or been let go, and now there seems to be a rotating roster, and even the regular staff doesn't quite seem to remember or care for regulars. Owner used to be hands-on and visible earlier, but I rarely see him anymore. Comfort has also been an issue in summer, since the AC seems to be non-functional or ineffective and all windows open even on 80F+ days. The only good thing is the close location, the self pour beer (which is great since you get to try as little or as much as you want, but quickly adds-up), and some of the food items. I always like their paneer tikka pizza, and the pesto pizza. I remember tandoori wings and Buffalo cauliflower also being very good. The chicken 65 I tried last time was great, but portion was paltry. The pretzel is fresh but too chewy - not sure if it's the wrong type of dough. I tried the brunch a few times. The chicken and waffle didn't come with syrup and getting charged $2 for it after requesting and waiting for it didn't seem fair. The shakshuka was meh. Might consider visiting again if things improve, esp. if lunch special makes a comeback. read more

We came to eat with 4 people, 1 of us got our food pretty early. After sitting another 15 minutes, 2 more of us got our food. We asked multiple servers where our fourth dish was, with answers ranging from "we are busy, just wait", to "we are too busy". Our server, after taking our order, only came back after an hour. We still hadn't received our fourth dish, and told her never mind. The servers will ignore you. The table next to us also had problems with theirs servers. What a unique and fun experience! My dad got a Facebook Ad for this restaurant and asked for us to have family dinner there on a Wednesday night. It was a party of five with one infant, and we were seated immediately around six pm. If you want to drink some of the beers they have in the back corner, they give you a card that you swipe to activate the beer tap. It's pretty nifty and the screens have all the information about the beer and there are different glasses available to suit your choice of drink. The menu is Indian American fusion. There are tacos, pastas, burgers, pizza, and appetizers all with an Indian flavor and twist, such as butter chicken pizza and tikka chicken loaded fries! We ordered the aforementioned loaded fries and butter chicken, as well as the Malai Rigatoni and the Pesto Spaghetti. We also got onion rings, and the garlic naan fish tacos. The kiddo got the chicken nuggets and fries with a juice. Here's the breakdown: Nuggs&Fries: came out piping hot. Crispy nuggs, but way overly salted fries. Whew! We felt bad giving them to the baby (she's a little over 1) so she stuck with chicken. The staff was actually really nice and helped us steam some carrots for her so she had something else to eat. Onion rings: crispy and crunchy, comes out so hot and fresh with tons of ranch and ketchup. Loaded tikka chicken fries: delicious! Great appetizer. Kinda salty and the jalapeños were spicy AFFFFFF! Butter Chicken Pizza : favorite of the night. Decadent but not salty, perfect crispy crust, wonderful flavor. Rigatoni: second favorite. Buttery and delicious. This was our first visit to Blast & Brew. The menu is interesting and ambiance is decent. However, the food and cocktails were just okay. I had a Moscow Mule and Mojito. Both were average. I think the bar tender forgot to muddle the mojito and it tasted like the mint leaves were just added to the drink without muddling them. The food came is a random order. First they got us our drinks and we had requested the sliders with our drinks. However, few minutes later the pizza came, followed by the sliders and finally the salad. We got the beet and goat cheese salad but it was filled with of arugula leaves we just a few beets and very little goat cheese. It was dry with no dressing at all. The waiter got us some dressing upon request. The tiki tiki sliders were good. The pizza was okay compared to similar ones I have had at other places (like Tandoori Pizza in Sunnyvale). I've been to Blast & Brew before, and it's a pretty cool after work spot! The Indian-American fusion restaurant is fairly big and has a patio section to use if the weather's nice. The wait stuff is accommodating to health needs, however, because it gets busy, it does take a while to get their attention. They have a wide variety of mixed drinks, and also have a great selection of on tap beers. You get a beer tap card that you and the group can use, and then the total is added on to the bill at the end. This time around, my friends and I got the Tandoori Chicken Wings, Masala Fries, Fried Chicken Sliders, and PB&J Pizza. All the food was really good, and had that spicy masala kick to it. Overall, I would love to come back during a non-busy time and try out some of the other dishes! read more

Didn't quite like the menu as it's too much of a carb menu for me, but I do like how quiet and not busy it is during lunch hours and it's nice to sit inside with the fake green deco sections. They ran out of fish even at lunch, so I changed to soup and salad. The burrata salad was nicely presented and with sumptuous amount of cherry tomatoes and mozzarella cheese (a big gulp of it!). The tomato soup came with naan bread and it was creamy but a bit too spicy for me. Service was nice and friendly. I felt I ate better than the impression from the menu. I've only been to a few places like this and I can never gauge how much beer I'm pouring for the price lol but it's fun! That's probably why the bill is so high. We ordered the BBQ wings, garlic fries, and the Cowboy pizza to share and headed over to the beer pouring station to get our first glasses. Service was pretty slow and kinda spotty. We asked for water multiple times and the server seemed to forget. The food was average - greasy finger food that pairs well with beer, but nothing mindblowingly delicious. Stopped by recently with some friends because we wanted a casual place to get drinks and food. First impression, they don't have a very large selection of beer for a place with brew in the name. But they do have a decent amount of cocktail options and even mocktails! I got a rice beer which was interesting! I like that you can pour your own beer and you'll be charged by the ounces. However this wasn't very clear to us as it was our first time. On to the food, the tikki tikki sliders were good and flavorful. I usually love bar nachos but these were kind of lacking in sauce and cheese. It was overall kind of dry but the chips were really good. Nice little spot near home. We were able to take our dog and sit at the patio. The patio has heaters so didn't have to worry about the cold draft. First time we went, we got a pizza, pretzel, and wings to share and got the beer card. Super easy to self-serve and the food was delicious. We went again later on in the week for weekend brunch and their bottomless mimosas. Well worth the wait and the food was satiating. My team and I are in town for a tradeshow and we decided to get some happy hour and dinner together. Blast and Brews was the final choice since it was within close radius to the Santa Clara convention center, good ratings on Yelp and also a decent amount of options for foods and drinksssss. One of the major highlights of their restaurant is their innovative system of self served beers on tap where you are given a card and then you are charged by ounce, depending on how much you dispense. They seemed to have a lot of options and I like how this paying per ounce system gives you variety and control over how much you get of each kind. One of my favorites was a Peanut Butter Milk Stout Nitro. The food menu seems to be pub menu with Indian inspirations. I really liked that creative touch. My teammates ordered a variety of things including Buffalo Cauliflower ($10), Beef Sliders ($13), Chicken Quesadillas ($6 Tappy Hour), Asada Quesadillas ($6 Tappy Hour). The team seemed quite pleased with their food for the most part. We also shared a Bavarian Pretzel ($10). It was soft and tasty and served with hot mustard and beer cheese. Some of us preferred the mustard and some of us preferred the beer cheese. Either way I feel like there was not enough sauce to pretzel ratio so we actually had to ask for more beer cheese. I also ordered their Chicken Tikka Naan Tacos ($12) which was the most delicious thing I ate all day. This is brilliant. It only came with 2 tacos, so it was recommended that I ordered more food so I got Asada Quesadillas ($6 Tappy Hour) for a small supplementary item. It was dry and less impressive but at least it was cheap. The non brew drinks seem to be less than satisfactory... recap... our server kept asking us over and over to repeat certain orders. I think they asked my coworker multiple multiple time about her Mint Mojito ($13). She said mint mojito... then they were like what?? which mojito?? MINT Mojito... They left... come back... the male server asked if should would like it with alcohol... yes... yes rum please... then a female server comes and askes if she likes it with alcohol... YES YES booze us up!! And then by the time it got to her, she didn't even like it. Sigh... My Lychee Martini ($13) was pretty weak too. It came with the glass not full and I basically finished it in 2 sips. Alcohol flavor faint. Another teammate had a Margarita ($11) on the rocks and it seemed okay. So basically I recommend the CHICKEN TIKKA NAAN TACOS!! And the self dispensing brews. The mixed drinks are not worth it here. One thing I really dislike is the 4% "Covid-related service charge" added to all transactions... I hate fees like that, and for that reason alone I would never come back. Staying in town for a niners game and like always, we're searching for best brews to go with our meal (close to us). This place is not a brewery (just want to be clear because it pops up when you search for breweries) they're more of a Taphouse, the kind where you pour your own. I love the concept, and overall, the environment was great. Only 1.5 miles away from our hotel although we weren't very clear on where to park as they're located in an apartment building and some street parking seems to be for the apartments only. We ordered a few items, chicken bbq pizza, asada fries and mango habanero wings. All were good but the best were the fries, only problem is they didn't give us silverware so the first few bites we took, most of the toppings fell off. We asked for silverware to find out they ran out but the server was great and found us some plastic ware. The chicken wings were ok, they were pretty big and the seasoning was not too spicy, just the right kick. The only thing is that we got a bit of an after taste with them which we would have preferred not to have. On one of the pours, I had nothing but foam for about half the glass, I didn't pay attention to how it charged (they charge for drink by the oz) but when I got to the beer part, it was my favorite. Overall a good experience for the first time. We understand places are understaffed and experiencing some issues. You're able to test out a huge selection of beers and charged in the end through a card they give you!
