The service at Blaze is becoming more and more inconsistent as time goes on. My husband and I recently placed an online order for 2 pies, and when we arrived at the pick-up time only one had gone in the oven. We waited about 10 minutes for the other to come out before we realized that it was still sitting in the queue rack. No, it was not busy. It just wasn't put in. The whole process took much longer than if we had just walked in off the street and placed our order. Another time I placed an online order, a topping was left off the pie entirely, and I only requested a few. It's not that complicated, especially when it's all listed there for you on the order. The pizza is still good but but they're starting to slip a bit, that is for sure. Maybe the lesson here is that you shouldn't order online? That is kind of annoying, though, because I like the option to avoid the line, walk in and grab it and go. We'll see where it goes from here. read more

I have been here numerous times before and have always been greeted with smiles and enthusiasm, but my trip today for lunch was different. One girl who made my mother's pizza and mine had a very bad attitude and made it seem as if it was a chore to take our order. She barely made eye contact and if you asked her to repeat something she huffed and repeated herself in a snotty way. I then came to realize she had a pin on her hat that said MANAGER. Very displeased that a manager at an establishment like this that is solely based on customer service was very rude, inattentive and seemed to care less. The line is slow to get through and the staff is hit or miss. Sometimes you'll get staff that are really great at putting the pizza together but every so often you'll get people who could care less. If you are gluten free, you can request a glove change which is nice but caution, they use a lot of the same equipment and cross-contamination is inevitable. read more

This is not real pizza, but the concept is pretty cool. You go in and build your own pizza 'flatbread' and put anything and everything you want on it. Mine always end up with a crazy amount of veggies on it, which makes it really filling. For $8 or so, it makes for a quick and easy lunch or dinner option. Kids would probably really dig it. Random, but they also have this really good pink water. It's sweet, but not too sweet. You should try it. Love having the option to choose my own healthy toppings (lots of fresh veggies!) and vegan cheese,along with a gluten-free crust. The website is great, and you can either order online or just check out the nutrition profile of whatever pizza concoction you put together. This is a godsend for anyone on a restricted diet. We went at about 5pm, and as it was a holiday, there wasn't any line. Service was fine, although the cashier could have been a little friendlier. The floors and tables didn't look very clean to us, and neither did the beverage area toward the back where you wait to pick up your pizza. We got our pizzas to go--they each got plopped into their own little box after cutting (one was cut into quarters, the other into 6 pieces We ordered off the set pizza menu--a Green Stripe (was supposed to have pesto, could not taste it), and Veg Out. I love pizza. Like really love it. And I had high hopes for this place, but it just underwhelms. I like being able to pile my pizza high with all of the toppings my little heart desires, but I didn't dig how messy everything was. Holy cross-contamination issues! Maybe it's just because I'm a vegetarian and I don't want meat accidentally ending up on my pizza, but chipotle has a similar style and their food stations aren't such a mess. My pizza was only OK. I love this pizza place. It's so nice to be able to have pizza again (They have gluten free pizza.) If you get things in proper order, you can do very well there. For example, skip the sauce and go for sauce "dollops " at the end. I have been contaminated twice there. Both times was one woman, who enjoyed announcing that there is no possibility of not getting contaminated. I have celiac disease and don't eat out as much because of the contamination issue. Healthy customizable pizza at an affordable price! This place was recommended to me by a few of my good friends because they loved it so much! On a weekday afternoon, we decided to grab a bite there. The process of ordering here is an assembly line build-your-own format, very similar to the model of Chipotle. There is a menu that lists all the ingredients you can choose from for toppings (wide variety for each topping category, ex. meat, veggies, etc), and, surprisingly, you pay a flat price for any number and combination of the toppings! That day, a friend and I decided to share a veggie pizza. We started with half classic tomato sauce and half spicy tomato sauce, with pesto sauce along the edges. For cheese, we added pieces of ovalini mozzarella on top of shredded mozzarella. Then, we had a blast adding all the veggies we liked, including mushrooms, roasted garlic, tomatoes, two kinds of bell peppers, olives, onions, and banana peppers. At the end of the line, we paid about $8 for all the yumminess and the pizza went into the oven. It took about 10 minutes. Our pizza came with crisp, golden brown edges, and the cheese sizzling. The entire thickness of the pizza (about 0.2 inches for the toppings we piled on) was cooked just right, there was no raw doughiness, and the melted cheese made every bite mouth wateringly juicy! The entire experience here was smooth with very efficient staff. You can also order online and pay so that they build your pizza ahead of time, then put it in the oven when you arrive. Ordering online was such a fast and easy option- I ordered for 5 people on one occasion, checked-in at the cashier, they then put my pizzas in the oven, and I was in and out of the place in about 20 minutes! Super fast.. I mean then again it is supposed to be cooked in 180 seconds. There are a lot of different sauces and toppings and dressings available for your pizza. The staff is always very friendly and the service is nice. For a place that is packed almost any time of the day, they handle the stress of large lines very well. I give the girl my order and she writes it on the paper and then I stand there for about 7-10 minutes with employees walking back and forth and staring at me but not helping. She then tells me she brand new and hasn't been trained yet but because no one is there to help she does it. Then I get to the cash register and no one knows how to cash me out. Really!?!?! Again multiple employees walking back and forth looking and me and the a girl comes back in and says to guy who doesn't know how to use the register she's clocked out and can't help. Finally someone comes to help but isn't 100% sure how to do and it takes multiple tries. You would think they would have someone ready to check people out at all times. Impressed with the flavors and quality of ingredients. It's a simple operation, but has a very good fresh sauce that makes for a quality pizza. The dough is thin and relatively crisp, but still not that rising bubbling freshly made taste, my reason for 4 stars. Let me start by saying, I was NOT happy when I left, BUT the issue was rectified and we will be returning... A co-worker placed an online order that I offered to pick up, specifically at 6:15. When I arrived, the line was to the door. I'm talking 30 people deep. After 5 minutes of waiting, i went up front to see if I could just pick up the online order without waiting. Yes I could! I gave the name it was under and was told to hang on a minute. About 15 minutes later, I finally went back up front and asked if they had the order and was told they were out of the gluten free crust which she had ordered because of food allergies. I was super annoyed because I was doing her a quick favor that had turned into a half hour wait for nothing. When the online order is placed, they specifically ask for the phone number IN CASE they are out of anything. Neither of us received a phone call. I GET it was busy-I could see by the line. BUT, it was such an inconvenience! My co-worker called today and a manager gave her a free gluten free pizza and a gift card for a free pizza for me, which was awesome and how customer service should be handled. We now know that Friday's around 6 are super busy, so we will plan better next trip. read more

I have been coming here since they opened and I like the pizza but the last few visits the wait to order and then get your food is now over 30 minutes. The problem is the place is catering to the online orders and leaving the people in line to wait to order. When I finally made through the line the girl took my order and put it aside while she wrote up a couple online orders and inserted them in between me and a member of my party. When I told her we have been on line for a long time had to go back to work soon, she smiled and turned to the person behind me and took their order. She just didn't care! There are to many other lunch options in the area, I won't spend more then half my lunch hour in line here again. It's nice to offer fast online ordering but it shouldn't be at the expense of your in person customers. read more

Love the food here - but the service isn't the greatest. My boyfriend and I live about 30 minutes from here but come here frequently (2-3 times a month) because it gives us the opportunity to each get what we want. I am gluten intolerant and enjoy the gluten free pizza here and he enjoys the regular crust. I like the topping selection, besides the fact that they don't have broccoli. As for the service, it has progressively gotten worse. When I first started eating here, they weren't nearly as busy and I don't recall them making little mistakes like they have the past few months. They definitely have some things to work out. The last two times gotten salads we have waited longer for those than the pizza. One time we went the salad wasn't even ready by the time we got done eating our pizza. The staff was apologetic but running out of salads seems to consistently be an issue. Another issue I have had two times now is with the online ordering. Both times they have screwed up our pizzas. They have either forgotten a topping or added extra. The first time I ordered online, I waited roughly 45 minutes for my pizzas (!!) which defeats the purpose of online ordering IMO. I figured this was due to how busy they were because it was a Saturday around dinner time. I decided to give it another shot a few weekends later because I was ordering food for a group and did not want to go through the line and order 5+ pizzas. This time I only had to wait roughly 15-20 minutes and the line was out the door. But they forgot toppings on one of the pizzas and put extra toppings on another pizza. They also tried to give me someone else's pizza. Overall, I do like Blaze. I just think that they have some logistical issues to work on. read more

I was here last night, and my pizzas were burnt to a crisp, and from what I noticed the person on the oven was named Greg. He burnt out pizzas and then had to wait 5+ mins to be cashed out. He was very inattentive when cashing us out; making us feel very uncomfortable being at this restaurant. He seemed to be blaming the young lady who was cutting the pizza on why it had been burned; who's name was Kayla. My boyfriend and I won't be eating here again! Kayla was very apologetic about our pizzas, however seemed very troubled about how she had just been treated. She did tell us to have a good rest of our night and was very respectful to us. Also, just after posting this I was notified that since Kayla and I are friends on Facebook, my complaint "isn't valid" I don't understand why social media can play a part with my time at a restaurant. I wanted to send an email but this is about the GM so I am putting my review here. I went to the sidewalk sale yesterday. Outside the restaurant there was a nice young lady with a baby wearing a Blaze shirt and another female giving put samples of pizza, desserts and some lemonade. They also had some coupons for BOGO. The ladies were really friendly, and talking to them was fun. The young lady went inside for more napkins and that's when the GM came outside with some boxes of pizza. He looked at the other lady and said " my life just went to sh@@". The lady looked a little embarrassed and apologized to us but he kept talking about whatever was going on with some ambulance. Not that I have never heard or said that word before, but from someone representing the business to come outside and just blurt it out as if no one was there, was disrespectful. I asked for the GM email address and that was when I found out it was him, so since I don't know who else to go to, here we are.
