We have been there a couple times and it is CONSISTENTLY good. Kids love it because they have a hand in what they eat and like to watch it being fired. The pizza sauce is good and have been completely satisfied when we have gone. It is a nice clean place with friendly staff. The atmosphere in great, noise level is good, I don't feel like I have to whisper and if the kids laugh loud I'm not shushing them. Prices are reasonable and overall enjoy going there for a quick bite. read more

I ordered online for pickup at 7:45. They didn't put my pizza in the oven until 7:55. I waited for a very long time and they had no remorse for their actions. Then they put way too much oregano on my pizza and burnt it. I was very upset with my experience. Do better. read more

The variety of combinations possible to create a pizza, above average quality and price keeps me coming back. After being subjected to the local ballston spa pizza choices my bar is pretty low though. The only downside to this place is going during lunch hours. If you see the line even half way to the door make sure you have 30 minutes to wait. They do have ordering online and is highly recommended if you want to be in and out. I believe they make the pizza and cook it when you get there. read more

Being a mom of a child with a milk allergy it's hard to find places with goat cheese! The woman working last night named Cici was everything and more! I told her it worries me that the goat cheese was sitting next to the regular cheese and she got a new container from the back so we could make sure no regular cheese got into the goat cheese.... then changed her gloves multiple times that was we could rest assure there was no cross contamination was done. Went out of her way to a new cutter and even wrote on my paper the pizza was on that it was on. Then right before we left she helped my son get a drink and made sure he didn't spill it on himself! Haven't been here in awhile but got a coupon a stopped in. Still good topping selections and I see they have added some new items. I will say the chicken looks a little weird so I didn't get that but besides that happy with my order. I love the concept and food is good. This blaze is hit or miss. Some days we have a great experience and other days not so good. The good days we get good service, good food, and place looks clean. Then we have bad days. Food is still good but service is sluggish and restaurant is a mess. Usually a coin flip on which Blaze you will get. This is like the chipotle of pizza. You choose a crust, choose sauce(s), cheese, meats, and veggies. The pizza is then cooked and you can choose to add olive oil, arugula, BBQ sauce, pesto, ranch, or red sauce on top and it's boxed and ready to go! It's all very easy and you can see all of the options and they add the toppings as you move down the line. They also have several salad options and some baked goods as well. The pizza has a very thin crust, which I love, but I think they also have a thicker option. I like it because it's fast and consistent. It's certainly not the most amazing pizza ever but it's good. I ordered an online order at about 8 pm with 2 build your own pizzas. Online it said it would be ready in 12-15 minutes. I got there in 15 minutes and neither of them were started. I got one about 5 minutes after arriving and the other one I got 20 minutes after arriving, a very long wait. The worst part was that I paid for high rise dough on one of the pizzas and it came with regular crust. I was in such a rush to get out of there after such a long wait that I didn't realize it until I had got home. I tried to leave a review online and no one answered. Very disappointed read more

Fast food pizza... You get what you pay for, in this case i.e., quick, cheap, not healthy pizza. Taste is kind of subjective, but according to our standards, taste was meh. I love the pizzas, but this place is a nightmare of disorganization. The last three times I ordered ahead online, I had to wait anywhere from 12 to 35 minutes past my scheduled pickup time. Today, my pizza sat cooling in a box for 15 minutes, they never called my name. Had I not inquired, it would probably still be sitting there. I've come to the conclusion there's little to no advantage to ordering ahead, might as well take my chances in the line. Also, would it kill Blaze to put someone with half a personality on the registers? I don't expect a wide grin and a happy howdee-doo from fast food help, but these people act like their hamster just died. Even a "thank you" would be an improvement. read more

Decent product. A super thin, fresh ingredient pizza made with more care than you'd expect. Atmosphere is a bit chaotic , families drooling and sneezing all over the place in line, but the reason you're there, the customized pizza is pretty good for fast food. The lines seem long but they move it pretty well, not an obnoxious wait. Red Vine is a margarita type and it was good and refreshing, sons build your own was good as well. One pizza per person as the thinness precludes anyone but the smallest child from sharing. We will return. read more

My kids have been begging me to take them to Blaze Pizza for months and I finally gave in. I typically try to keep them away from greasier food but I was so pleasantly surprised when I walked in! All the food is so fresh and made write in front of you so you never get an old pizza. All of the kids working there were polite and understanding to new customers who don't understand the set up. While I was ordering I was being helped by the manager Annabelle and she was just a complete ray of sunshine! Now I take my kids here as a reward whenever one of them does well in school. read more

I recommend reading Roger K.'s review on 2/6/2016 for a thorough description of the process of acquiring your pizza. I went on a busy Friday evening and experienced the assembly line a little overwhelmed and greatly backed up. If you're not in a rush to eat and have the leisure of standing bumper to bumper in a line, Blaze is a fine option. I shared a pizza with a friend and we each created our own "half pizza". We started with a mix of the spicy and classic red sauce topped with ovalini mozzarella, mushrooms, and roasted garlic. She added sausage and cherry red tomatoes while I opted for chicken and roasted red peppers. We each ordered a small salad. The pizza was rather good. The base was doughy and moist even while being thin. On a scale of thinness, this wasn't the most thin I've had and falls somewhere along the "thinner" side of the spectrum. I particularly liked the chewiness of each bite, saturated with red sauce and speckled with quarter-sized mozzarella cheese. It was a messy sight given that the sauce was relatively uncovered and easily slid off the pizza and onto our fingers. (Ovalini pieces are chunks of cheese rather than a mesh of melted shredded cheese that insulates the tomato sauce). Looking past the mess, I felt that the pizza had great flavor, perhaps even better than a traditional pizza with shredded cheese. The roasted garlic livened the pizza and the other ingredients like the chicken, mushroom, and roasted red pepper, were fresh. The toppings were chopped to no more than a quarter size, and the consistent size of the toppings made the pizza profile more "even". Perhaps there could have been a little bit more of the toppings, but I think overall the ratio of toppings to sauce/cheese was a-okay. The ovalini mozzarella, tomato, and basil salad was not the caprese. A plastic box was stuffed with arugula (stuffed!) then topped with 4 or so pieces of mozzarella, some halved cherry tomatoes, and a leaf (maybe two) of basil. It was rather disappointing how little basil was given and how much arugula there was relative to the other components of the salad. The dressing was not a simple one with balsamic vinaigrette and olive oil, but rather a condensed version, a tangy, thick balsamic sauce. The amount of peppery arugula (while great portions) felt a bit overwhelming in terms of flavor and texture. The napkins and utensils were stocked at the back of the restaurant, near the check out area. The line of people that remained relatively organized during the assembly line grew into a large chaotic mass of those paying for their food, those waiting for their pizza, and those trying to grab at the utensils and napkins. More stations for napkins and utensils would definitely be helpful. Constant restocking of the items is absolutely necessary. I can't say that I love most pizzas I come across, hence 4 stars for the delicious pie at Blaze. read more

For pizza, this is a 5-star establishment. The flash-fire cooking method is quick and results in a great texture. Crust is impossibly thin and crispy, sauce is just the right balance of flavors, cheese is high quality, toppings are fresh, and you can get fresh arugula tossed on top of any pizza on whim, among other "finishings". Like, yeah I ordered and paid and my pizza is ready, but ya know what? Can you drizzle that with a bit of pesto and toss some fresh arugula on it? Yup. They will. And it will be delicious. My family loves Blaze as our son has a severe dairy allergy and Blaze is the only pizza place locally offering vegan pies. They have a separate pizza cutter and do glove changes for those with allergies, though we do make sure to remind them as we understand how easy and natural it can be to make a mistake in a busy setting. He loves their pizza, which was the first non-frozen he ever had, and which converted him to joining his parents in pizza being a favorite food. This location is always quick and very friendly, and we have always had a wonderful experience. I was prompted to write this review tonight in grateful recognition of the service we received. We were helped by a young woman named Cici, who seemed to be a manager - if she's not, she should be, as she dealt with our high maintenance needs with grace and kindness and a courteous professionalism that made our experience a perfect one. I want to commend her specifically, and Blaze for obviously making clear effort to hire wonderful people who like helping others and care about doing excellent work. Sometimes the line can be long but it moves pretty quick. For desert the s'mores are good and you can ask them to be heated up in the fire oven. I am very disgusted with the blaze specifically in Stuyvesant Plaza. I usually go to a different blaze closer to home but decided to try one closer to my mothers house. BIG MISTAKE!! when I had ordered online for myself and a few family members, the service was completely HORRENDOUS! The young man who was on the cash register was absolutely rude and unprofessional. Not only did my pizzas come out way past the time it said they would be ready, they were wrong! The employee on the register decided to give me a hard time even remaking the pizza!!! Absolutely ridiculous! Having new people on the cutting station shouldn't be allowed if they do not know what they are doing. He was overwhelmed and didn't seem to get any help! I was about to lose it because of instead of simply fixing the problem he just continued to talk! Another young lady came up to us at the register and offered to remake the pizzas which she did a great job doing and also gave free pizza cards to make up for the inconvenience but I am still giving one star. Like the concept! I work in the Stuyvesant Plaza area and a colleague recommended this place and let me know they have gluten free dough available. I ordered online - which was fun - building my own pizza from the plentiful topping offerings (they have pre-selected combos as well). I received an email confirming my pizza pickup time - and when you go into the large, industrial space, you check in with the friendly cashier and your pie (which Is in a rack holder) is then fast fired. It is cool to watch and does not take very long. The gentlemen behind the counter were really friendly and nice - smiles, service oriented, etc. They have many tables inside and the place is very family friendly, casual date friendly, or a place you can go with friends or dine alone. I took mine to go so I could get back to work promptly as I had a meeting to get to. I selected red sauce, mozzarella, pepperoni, Italian sausage (it is the ground kind not the sliced kind), roasted garlic, oregano, and arugala. Arugala which is added after the pie is cooked was overlooked but the pie was very tasty. The roasted garlic was delicious. I really enjoyed this new lunch option. My pizza could have been done a little more so next time I might order it well done. However, it was very good and I would definitely come again, perhaps trying another great combination - the sky is the limit as far as the many different pies you can build. I would recommend this to my son as I know he would enjoy it with his friends - it is budget friendly for what you get. Family of 5 visiting SUNY Albany for college tour on 4/12 stopped in for a meal after a recommendation from our Tour Guide Erin. Wow. This is our first time at Blaze. for $8.25 you can get all your favorite italian ingredients in one pizza. They had fresh mozzarella, Artichoke, all kinds of meat and veggies. After its cooked you can top it off with arugula and several different kind of sauces. There is no limit on the amount of toppings. I loaded up on meats and cheese, no veggies. It was like having my favorite italian sandwich but in a pizza form. My family only chose few items but everyone got to enjoy the pick your own ingredient experience and a quick turn around at the oven. I would definitely recommend this place after College tour. Do not order your pizza online! We waited over a half an hour for them to prepare our pizza and cook it. People who were in line all came and went before us. When the staff realized they forgot to make our online order, they continued to make other customer's orders for ten minutes before getting to ours, which we ordered 40 min prior online. I visited Blaze recently for the first time and can I just say, YUM. It's a pretty simple set up - you can choose a signature pizza or you can build your own with an unlimited number of toppings. I opted for something simple to try it out: the spicy sauce, shredded mozz, parm, bacon, and artichokes. It was cooked so quickly, served hot, and was full of flavor. The staff building the pizzas was super friendly, and while I was sitting down eating, one of the employees, Britt, came over and started making conversation when she noticed it was my first time. She offered a refill on my drink and got me a box later on. Not a full service restaurant, but she definitely knew how to provide some great customer service! Will definitely be returning! read more

I ordered from blaze a few days ago through the on line portal. Scheduled for a pick up about 40 minutes after I had ordered, within 5 minutes I received an email saying my order was received but about an hr later my coworker who was picking up lunch called me and said they had not received the order and would take about 10 minutes to remake the order. I sent her a copy of the online receipt saying the order was received, half hour goes by she calls me back saying the staff claims the order never came through so they can refund the money or we can get in the back of the line and re order but have to wait until all of the other orders are complete first (all of the orders that were taken way after mine) I told her to get a refund and a receipt. She came back to work saying they refunded me but couldn't produce a receipt I would get the money back in 24 hrs. 4 days later no refund and no receipt of a refund. Would not recommend this location, she said they seemed lazy and just lacking work ethic so tried to play it off and get her out of the store rather than making the order or giving me my money back read more

The pizza was one of the best I have ever had. My first visit and definitely not my last. The restaurant has a fun atmosphere and it the employees were very friendly and polite. I like the concept of watching the assembly line as your pizza is made and the overall quality of the pizza is alright. However, the service I obtained today completely turned me off from ever going back. I went during during time and I understand that is a busy time. However the time I walked in the door to stand in line and order a pizza, there was no one ahead of me in line. The person at the counter taking my order was very busy with marking the online orders and disregarded me for a good 2 minutes until I had to ask if I was standing in the right place to order. Once I ordered, the employees assembling my pizza were very friendly and smiled. It wasn't until I got to the counter to pay for my food that totally changed my attitude about Blaze. First my entire order was not rung up so I ended up paying 2 different transactions. Not a big deal because I know things can happen. The second transaction came to $3.19. I gave the cashier what I thought to be was $5.19 and I'm pretty sure I did. The cashier gave me back my change of $1.99. Who wants .99 back in change, no one! I told the cashier I gave her $5.19 and she proceeded to become defensive and say I only gave her .18. I asked her why she didn't say anything if I only gave her .18 and not .19, I mean it's a penny and everyone has an extra penny. This cashier was not willing to budge nor apologize for the matter. I took my change and moved down the line to pick up my pizza. Here at the pick up station there were 4 young ladies all speaking about a customer who wanted a new pizza and were annoyed by this. I get there are customers who may annoy you but don't make your conversation loud and apparent to the other guests standing in front of you to pick up your food. Like I said the pizza was alright but the customer service could really use some work. Due to this experience today, this is my only and last time I will visit this location. read more

For what this is - fast casual pizza, inexpensive given all of the choices - I thought this was pretty good. We went on a Friday night, and it was very busy, but there were tables available. One of the friends I went with is a gluten free vegetarian, so we wanted to try it out. I'd like to go back on a day when they aren't as busy, just because I'd enjoy it more if there weren't so many people (it's echo-y and loud). I got the high rise crust, which is a thicker crust, and we had to wait for it and the GF crust to be ready for them to put the stuff on them, and then they took longer to cook as well. The staff was very efficient and polite, and the to go boxes (half boxes for your left overs) are great - a staff person even came by and offered to go get some for us (they're stacked near the soda fountain). The manager asked how things had been when we were taking care of our trash, and we were very pleased with the experience. read more
