I also had the Caesar salad, and the dressing is made in-house and it shows. Super flavorful without that store-bought taste. The croutons were very good as well. 10/10. The cheesy bread surprised me. I'm not usually a cheesy bread person, but with the pesto drizzle and mozzarella sauce, it was definitely a hard hitter. 9/10. The cinnamon dessert wasn't my favorite, but it still had good flavor and is made in-house. 7/10 for me. And the blood orange lemonade? Used to love Blaze. At some point, this specific location got bought out. All the employees were fired and I assume it's just the family running the location. Unfortunately, the management also made the decision to buy the cheapest ingredients possible. The once-freshly shredded mozzarella has been replaced with premade stuff from a bag. The basil is no longer green, but nearly gray. At least with the quality decrease, the price... increased. It used to be $25 for two people, now it's $32 and everything doesn't taste great anymore. First time ever for me at any Blaze Pizza, thanks to the social media lure on this 3/14 Pi Day. The forum had a lot of naysayers due to the prospects of having to put up with long lines just to save a few bucks. Heeding the risk, I chose to stop by during the lull of the mid afternoon -- yeah, at precisely 3:14pm. 6 people went in right in front of me -- not a good sign. Inside, the line almost reached the door but it didn't look that bad because the line hid itself out of sight by meandering over multiple corners. And the actual wait time was actually pretty remarkably short. It took only 15 minutes from the moment I got in line to when I had the boxes in hand. Thanks to their operationally efficient assembly line: 1 staff member takes order, 1 makes the pizza dough, 2 prepare the pizza with sauce and base toppings, another 2 garnish extra toppings, another 2 man the oven, 1 finishes up the order with optional drizzles and sprinkles. Oh, and 1 cashier. That's 10 people keeping the line moving! I ordered a Meat Lover and a BBQ Chicken. Both are signature pizzas, but you can build your own for the same price. A couple of surprises for me. First, it's a lot smaller than I expected; basically a personal-size pizza. Second, it's one of the best pizzas I've had. The dough/crust was simply perfect. It's not soggy like Sam's Club pizza. It's not greasy like the Pizza Hut pizza. It's not dry like a Costco pizza. And while it's a thin crust pizza, it's not crispy like a matzo. I love thin pizza. I love picking my toppings. I love the fast food order at the counter process so I'm not sitting at a table waiting for a server. As expected, the pizza was fabulous. A perfect combination of toppings. Service is fast even though it was hard to hear the person making our pizza and I had to ask them to repeat what they said a few times. Note to hiring manager, restaurants with open industrial style design often is an acoustic mess. Make sure person speaks loud enough to be heard. Just sayin'. Parking is easy because it's in a mall. Entrance from outside so you don't have to go in the mall. Enough seating but I can see it being an issue if really busy. I've recently gone dairy free so I'm interested in trying one of their pizzas without dairy products. Should be interesting - and still tasty. read more

Stopped in for a quick bite. Blaze is located outside the Capital City Mall behind Outback Steakhouse. It's a little confusing coming in for the 1st time (I would recommend better signage and a menu display before hitting the ordering counter). A young lady greeted me and was nice enough explaining the different options. I chose to build my own pizza. It's pretty much the typical 5 minute pizza model. Toppings all looked fresh. I wasn't a huge fan of the spicy sauce - too hot and lacked flavor - so next time I'll try their signature sauce or maybe 50/50 combo. The crust was limp and chewy, the sauce was tasteless, and the pepperoni topping was I guess ok, but what does that matter if the crust and sauce is that bad. This is a great place if you're craving a different style of pizza! They have so many different options and it's kind of like a taco bar; you can go down the line and choose what crust, cheese, and toppings you want. You can also just choose a regular pizza that they already have on the menu. The employees prepare the pizzas in a small amount of time and it tasted really well. There was a Pi Day special so I thought it would give me a chance to try it while also not having to spend more than $5 on dinner. I have been a lover of Blaze since I tried it at Disney Springs. Its affordable and delicious. Its pretty much like a Subway or Chipotle of Pizza. They have a good variety of crusts and sauces. They also have so many options for toppings. I always go a little nuts because there's no limit on how many combinations you can try. They also have an app which makes ordering ahead and picking up a breeze. I love how they have combos too if you're just wanting to stop in for lunch or something. You can get a half pizza and salad or garlic knots. Its a good way to get a nice balanced meal. I am not a dessert person but I LOVE their smores pie. Its not much to look at but its amazing. Does anyone remember those keebler suddenly smores you put in the microwave for an instant smore experience? They bring me RIGHT back to my childhood eating those. SO yummy! We tried their chicken pineapple pizza and the artichoke, cheese. Both tasted delicious. They also have an option of Take 2 - which has 1/2 pizza and 4 garlic knots which we tried. I've been to Blaze twice now and I have yet to be disappointed. I find the size of each pie to be perfect for 1-1.5 people. The entrance to the line wasn't clear at first glance but everyone seemed to find it pretty quickly. Their pizza is made directly in front of the customer from the beginning to the end which I value personally. I've already invited my friends to check it out sometime which is surprising because I'm picky. The Meat Eater was a really good choice. I think it's the perfect place for a lunch break. If there was an option to give this place no stars I would. Closing staff the other day was incredibly rude, was yelling at my daughter and I that they were closed. When the door was open and the website said they were open till 8:00pm. Thought we would try the place out because we got a coupon in the mail saying we would get a free pizza for the first time we went. They denied that as well, said they couldn't take the coupon. When clearly it states on the back it is good through the end of December. Highly do not recommend this place, will never go back. read more

Great pizza but lousy business practices. Long story short, I ordered $50 worth of pizza, and they charged my credit card twice for two identical orders, delivered one and left the other at the store because they had tagged the duplicate one as pickup. They refused to refund me for the duplicate order, or even bring me the food they charged me for. I called the restaurant, spoke to the "manager" who resolved the issue by calling me stupid, cursing me and hanging up. I had ordered a dozen times from them in the few months since they opened, but never again. Be warned these guys will ruin your evening. It's not worth it, no matter how good the food is.
