If I don't know what I'm craving I go to blaze and the craving is satisfied no matter what! So many topping options, and an entire build your own pizza for $9! I love how fresh the dough and toppings are. My personal preference is to ask them to wood fire it a bit longer to get some crisp on the crust. The roasted veggie Gorgonzola salad and blood orange lemonade ar great add ons as well. The staff here is also incredibly nice!! Even during the busy lunch hours they keep the line moving smoothly and you never have to wait very long. Given the location the hours are a little weird so just be sure to check before going. read more

Came in for the first time last thursdsy around 7pm. First time at Blaze, or a pizza place with this type of ordering style. Was greeted imediately upon entering. I had a create your own which was delicious. The spicy red sauce had a nice mild kick which ive never experienced on a pizza. Staff was fast, friendly, and knowledgeable. Place was clean. Pizza was good, but my only reason for the 1 star is because of 1 person which ruined the whole atmosphere. Her name was Tyhenia. Greeted us very rude and obnoxiously. When i asked if i could get my smores toasted she said, "you should've asked". Excuse me? I've been to plenty of blaze pizzas in the chicagoland and they would always put it in the oven or at least asked. She continued being rude towards me and even left my pizza om the side, while she cut others and when i asked se said others came out first, when i clearly saw mine being done first. When I asked for her name she stated that i could see it, when it was on her arm so i clearly couldn't. Had to get her name from another employee and the other employee even apologized. I found out that she was a manager and this is unacceptable as a manager. Would never come back here again because of her. read more

I stopped by for a late lunch and had the art lover pizza. It was a good size and I'm glad I shared it with a friend. The art lover was a good flavor combo, but not mixed very well so you wound up with big puddles of just ricotta cheese or just red sauce (it does say "dollops of red sauce" on the menu so this probably shouldn't have been a surprise). I'd like to go back and try a pizza with more toppings. As for drinks: I stuck with water, but my friend tried the prickly pear and the key lime mint agua fresca. Her favorite was the prickly pear, but she liked both. The staff were very helpful, explaining how the assembly-line process worked and picking up our tray right when we'd finished. They got the pizza out to us pretty quickly too. read more

I'm a huge fan. I've been to both the West Loop and Belmont locations and have been very impressed with the food and service at both. For a little over $8 you get a personal, customized pizza with unlimited toppings. All of the topping choices are fresh and very tasty. With that price and selection, you can't go wrong! read more

The green stripe is my favorite pizza here. This place is like a chipotle-fied pizza place. The pizza is kind of thin cracker style crust which isn't ideal but it satisfies the pizza craving when you're trying to find a place to eat on your lunch break. Get here early or be prepared to have a line that is out the door! I love that you can pick your own toppings and customize the pizza half and half if you are sharing with someone. For me, half of a pizza was enough to to feel satiated, but not full or stuffed, but I think a full pizza would have been overkill. They had artichoke hearts as a topping option! I'm not sure why anyone would order one of the pre-defined pizzas since its like $8 for all the topping you want. Service was efficient and quick. The crust was super thin and well cooked. There are a few tables outside with shade umbrellas that are perfect for a Chicago summer day. If you think deep dish is truly the original Chicago pizza, you were mislead. I have heard people say its the "subway of pizza", but subway is a crappy substitute for low cal food and Blaze is an awesome pizza joint. Quick, reasonable and right by the train station. For $8.50 you can build your own pizza with as many toppings as your stomach desires. Nice staff - she calls me baby girl. I came in here on Friday afternoon during the rush, and let me just say I was there for 10 minutes, 5 minutes standing in line that was out the door and 5 minutes for my pizza. Everyone there was nice and helpful. The cashier was also friendly,and helpful, considering the fact she had people asking her questions for orders. Even the pizza cutter Malcolm was friendly and suggested I put a BBQ drizzle ontop my pizza. I'll be back Blaze And also try the blood orange lemonade it's really tasty read more

I just want to say I have been coming to Blaze over a year now but you guys was the 1st Blaze I ate out of and I must say the pizzas are great and the employees are ok. But one young lady by the name of Jess was amazing. She made sure I was very comfortable. I felt as if I needed my blanket n pillow. This young lady is a great asset to your company and you guys don't even know it. So I recently came in about the end July or the beginning of August and seen that she wasn't there no more until I went shopping on Michigan Ave and stopped in to check them out and there she was. Looking for a fun place to have a group event? I highly recommend Blaze. I attended a work dinner with about 30 people. We got to make our own pizzas, which was fun and turned out delicious. My concern is our long wait to have our order made while 8 employees stood behind the counter in a group bull sh**ing with each other being to busy to make our food. On my ongoing hunt for affordable work-day lunch meals, I came across this gem. Known as the subway/chipotle of pizza, it does not disappoint. The line was ridiculous so take advantage of the online ordering so that once you get there you can go straight to the cashier to check-in and you easily save 15-20 minutes. Had the green stripe pizza with added red sauce and olives and I would definitely go back for more. They also have plenty of toppings and sauces to try out your own pizza preferences. staff is good, pizza is good when warm. i used to come here often but they treat walk-ins indifferently to online orders. my pizza sat for 5 minutes done (so was cold by time i got it back to work) due to large online orders. they need to get a second fulfillment station to separate online from walk in orders. i won't return for a while. read more

My department at work held a party at Blaze Pizza last night. It was such a blast! Shantrese Burkes, the manager is such a professional - she and her staff really made us all feel welcome. There were around 30 of us, and we all got to make our own custom made pizza (the 2 guests who eat vegan were really happy with the selection of vegan cheeses and all the veggies and other vegan toppings), and there was a Caesar salad, beer, wine, and soft drinks for dinner, then Shantrese passed trays of yummy desserts like cookies and brownies and blondies. The Blaze team helps you with the whole procedure: wash hands, put on gloves, get some dough on a pizza board, add sauce, cheese, meat, then veggies and toppings then spices, then into the oven and about 5 minutes later your pizza is done! Whether you're organizing a small gathering for friends and family or a work event or just want to drop in for hot out of the oven pizza, this is the place for you! Great price for a group, Shantrese was easy to work with in planning it all, the pizza pros on her team make it easy for first timers, and, it's so convenient - just steps away from Ogilvie and Union Stations for all of the commuters in your group. It's a BUILD YOUR OWN PIZZA then thrown into a brick oven. The whole process takes 5 minutes. The ingredients are fresh and your pizza will be as good as your are at combining ingredients. The template was laid out by Chipotle but this is entirely different because the food is technically cooked to order, aside from the processed meats like bacon, sausage, and pepperoni. read more

So far my best pizza in chicago and in the US! It you like european-style pizza, this is the place to go ! These pizza do not look oily with a thick crust like pizza American people usually like. There is a nice taste of woodfire on your crust which is a very thin crust and you can chose all ingredients for your toppings. Everything is very fresh and prepared in front of you. This pizza place is like 'chipotle' style for pizzas. I really like the wood fired pizza versus the regular oven baked pizza. After the pizza is baked, I like to add the pesto sauce. Plus you get to pick as many topics as you want for the same price. read more

The workers there are incredibly nice. I think I need to express their genuineness before I begin reviewing this restaurant. We were greeted with smiles, they were incredibly kind, and the manager kept checking up on us while we were eating. For a fast food place, I'm incredibly impressed by their top notch service. What great humans! Moving forward, the pizza was phenomenal. I ordered a one topping pizza, which totaled to around 6-7 bucks. I chose the spicy pizza sauce, which I thought was absolutely delicious and definitely eatable because I'm used to extremely spicy food (#pakistanipride). I do, however, suggest that if you're not good with spicy food, then pass on the spicy sauce and go for the normal sauce. Either way, it all tastes delicious, the pizza is cooked perfectly, and you'll be satisfied by the time you walk out of the restaurant. I went to the Clinton Ave location in downtown Chicago. I will never go to any Blaze location again. They took forever to get my order and then burned my pizza as the staff was dealing with an online order that allowed my crappy pizza to get burned while three staff tried to figure out an online orders guy salad. Maybe prioritize people who are there and maybe comp the pizza at the vary least. I should not have to wait 45 mins for a crappy pizza when I could have gone to an actual pizza joint and got GOOD pizza in 30 mins. I threw your garbage pizza in the you guess it THE GARBAGE out of principal. I rather starve than to ever visit one of your crappy locations again! read more
