So Kung Fu Pizza Bar is directly across the street from the Division Blue CTA line. And the bus is also right here on the same side steps away. The actual door is closed bc it's like Covid era ordering ... just through the window :-) It's funny bc of all the ramen bags that decorate the window and the star wars memorabilia and Asian figurines and candy bags. The guy who owns it didn't speak a word after we knocked on the window as advised on his piece of paper, we said "hello" and ordered the $5 cheese and pepperoni pizza w a can of soda which ended up being $6 without him saying anything or a receipt given bc he gave us $4 back from a $10 so I guess tax was 20% but we didn't expect that bc sales tax is 10% in Chicago. The paper sign notes it's five dollars plus tax but It doesn't say taxes 20%. So I wish he would've communicated or at least put it on the paper that is going to be a total of $6 including tax or just make it a flat rate of $6 or a $5 flat fee. We still said "thank you" after getting the order and still we heard nothing. The guy doesn't practice customer service or even speak a word in response to our "hello" or "thank you" at least on 10/17/25 for our transaction. If you are a business owner it would be a nice practice to also say a reply of "hello" and "thank you" (for a customers patronage). If customers say nothing but the order I could understand the dead silence but it felt weird and awkward that we might as well have ordered from a kiosk in Japan where it's just a robot or a vending machine :-). At the end of the day my hunger was satiated, it was $6 and it included a soda or water, and the pizza was good enough. I would def return in another late night hunger escape from the monotony of eating leftovers at home. We would have appreciated a reply of hello back and maybe just a word however. Cool decorations of ramen bags and we fantasized that he was watching anime or a movie in between customers lol. Oh and we loved the fortune cookies that came w the pizza! First time ever in my life. It was definitely an interesting experience like none other. No nonsense ... just get your soup as in Seinfeld :-).

Benny's pizza has always been a comfort for our family ever since I was a kid and now in my own family. We order at least 1-3 times a month and my order is always the same. The delivery drivers already know our usual. I don't like to leave reviews but I've had it with this person taking the order. It's happened on more than 1 occasion where I've called to place my delivery order and she slowly hikes up the price 1-2 times before giving a final price if she even does. Just today i placed and order and from the beginning I stated that it would be for delivery and paying with card. I mentioned at least 4 times that it would be with card prior to getting a total. She finally repeated my order and said it would be $66.85. I said ok with card? She ok what is the card number. I gave her the number and she said ok your all set. So I said ok just to confirm $66.85? And she said oh no since you paid with a card it $69 and change. I can't remember exactly how much change. So I said you didn't tell me that. And she said well that's what the machine said and every time you pay with a card you get charged 4%. I repeated, but you didn't tell me that. She said well that's the way it is do you want it or not? I said I understand that but you never told me that but how am I supposed to know. She said well it's always a 4% charge. So I said and I'm just supposed to automatically know that I'm going to be charged 4% and should do the math on my own? And she said well you would have seen the price in the receipt when you got your delivery. So I told her that is her responsibility to inform me. That if she told me one price and I later see a higher price on my account that would be a problem. She proceeded to say that it's not her money and she's not the one charging me that it's the machine. I said that she is the one giving me a total and taking my card information so she needs to provide me with accurate information. Again she said do you want it or not? I said yes but switch it to cash. And I asked to speak with a manager. She said there wasn't a manager there. I asked when there would be one and she said later. I asked what time later. She said after 5. Again she asked so do you want it. I said yes but switch it to cash. She left me on hold for quite a while. I thought she'd hung up the phone. When she finally came back on she said she voided the transaction. I asked her for her name for which she responded was Maria. This was very frustrating. Benny's you need to do better. She is a bad seed that I'm pretty sure has Informed many customers incorrectly about the total cost. She was rude, unapologetic and lacks the skills to work with paying customers. I've never had a problem with any of the other employees except her. I was so frustrated I came close to ordering from somewhere else. But I love the pizza here.

There was a tent outside w/Raza Pizza offering a number of different pizzas. In their defense it was a small tent set up outside so people could grab a bite to eat. This being said they had 4 different 9" pizzas to choose from ranging in price from $14 to $16 dollars. They had Cheese, Margarita, Pepperoni, & sausage & giardiniera. I chose the 9" sausage & giardiniera pizza. They had the pizzas prepped & had a small oven that they baked it on the spot. I guess I must have been hungry to order the sausage & giardiniera pizza. The pizza was made in the tent outside the millwork shop as a quick set up to provide food for the people that came to see the different millwork items. All I can say is it was edible but utterly wo/taste. I just hope their pizzeria pizzas are better quality or I can't see this place being in business very long. I know this was a quick set up to provide food for people looking for something to satiate their hunger. Sorry to say this pizza is in a very competitive Chicago market & will not be around very long unless their pizzeria provides a much better quality product

Because sausage is very greasy, I think the amount they put on caused the very thin crust to become soggy/soft, so I didn't really get to enjoy that crunchy thin crust I was hoping for. My bf said that it's usually more crunchy, so perhaps they felt rushed and didn't cook it long enough (because we were there to pick it up before it was ready). I'd like to come back to judge it again and maybe just get their basic pepperoni pizza. I also got an iced pandan vanilla latte to go and their chocolate chip cookie. Both were so delicious! The latte was super creamy and perfectly sweet. I love that they serve coffee all day, and I also love the concept of serving coffee with pizza. They definitely go well together!!
