Make Build Your Own Pizza (11-inch)

Stopped in for a quick bite. Easy ordering, convenient service. Friendly staff. Quality food. I appreciated the thin crust. Wide variety of fresh toppings. No fuss, just good pizza.

Veg Out Half 11-inch Pizza choice of side
    Britt J.

Visited last night as I was in the mood for a pizza and salad. The veg out pizza was great, the salad was lacking ingredients as I visited 45 mins before closing. Service was rocky- I assume the closing rush impacted the experience. However, it ended better than it started. My only recommendation is to offer balsamic dressing for salad and not balsamic glaze as the glaze is thick. Other than that, would recommend.

    BBQ chicken

BBQ Chicken pizza hit the spot. Went at 2 pm, and the line was to the door. Quality is fairly consistent, but the place gets really dirty when they are so busy. They had 5 people working, one more would have cut the wait down. Took 20 minutes on line waiting to order.

This does not look like extra mushrooms.

I love this place normally however I don't like ordering online. I asked for extra mushrooms and barley got any. ‍

Cheese bread sticks, no red sauce and no marinara on the side as described on the Doordash website page for Blaze.

My review is based on different Doordash orders I have placed from this location over time. First time, food was right except I didn't get the cookie I ordered. It wouldn't be a big deal if it wasn't overpriced at almost $4. Another time, I ordered a personal pizza and breadsticks. The pizza was correct and great, the breadsticks were not made as stated (no red sauce) and I did not receive the 2 sides of marinara which are supposed to come with the item. When trying to remedy these mistakes by calling the store, you will see they leave their phone off the hook so you're unable to contact them without physically driving to the store. Obviously that defeats the purpose of Doordashing to begin with. Overall, the food is good when prepared correctly but taking the phone off the hook consistently is terrible customer service.

Each part of the meal complemented the others perfectly, indicating that the chef or owner truly understood what flavors would work together. I was pleasantly surprised by how well everything paired, especially since I normally don't like spinach, but I enjoyed it in this dish. Upon entering the restaurant, you feel transported to Little Italy; the ambiance, the food, and the music immerse you in the experience until you finally walk out the front door. As someone who eats out every day, this meal will stay with me for the rest of my life. I believe everyone should dine here at least once before they die. As I left the restaurant, I found myself wondering why the owner chose such a rural setting for such an extraordinary establishment. I have no idea, but I definitely plan to return many times to enjoy more of its amazing creations.

We were greeted walking in by the hostess and seated within the same interaction. Our server was very good, professional, kind and friendly. He took our drink orders and got our appetizer going. We started with the Calamari Fritti, an excellent choice, flash fried with spicy peppers in a light golden batter. Simple, fresh and delicious and cooked beautifully. Served with a spicy maranara. An extensive menu of traditional and modern Italian cuisine. After giving it a good look over I opted for the Rigatoni Rustico pasta with chicken in a rich creamy red pepper and tomato sauce. It was delicious and a wonderful presentation and meal. A nice serving of rigatoni, in a velvety smooth cream sauce with tender chunks of grilled chicken. It hit the spot for me and was a thoroughly enjoyable meal. My dining companions said their dinners were equally as good. All in all an excellent choice for a nice meal. 4.5 Stars rounded up for our great server. 01249

I arrived at Rudino's in Southern Pines at approximately 10 min after ordering and waited almost another 30 minutes to receive my order. When the hostess brought the pizza, she said they messed up when cutting or slicing the pizza and threw another slice in a to-go box as though that would suffice in making it better. I thought this was absolutely absurd - the slice was nothing more than an old piece of another pie that was sitting under a warmer for probably hours and since it was close to closing threw it my way - it was disgusting. It appeared (see photo) they either dropped the pizza or took a bite out of it. When I ordered the Sicilian pizza, I thought it was going to be the traditional thick, deep crust, two inch plus pizza. I was perplexed and very disappointed to see it was nothing more than a traditional round pie with a taste that was overpowering with salt, the cheese was stale, there was no sauce, and very little meat. I feel it was deceptive to advertise and serve a Sicilian pizza masked as a round traditional pie that I can have ordered from Dominoes much cheaper. I was disappointed when walking in and having to wait as long as I did while observing the staff spend more time on their cell phones and gossiping with one another. I would think the least they should do is pull the Sicilian pizza from the menu until such time you can actually make one like Vera Pizza & Grill, Café Vesuvio in Sanford, SoPies in Southern Pines, Brooklynn Pizza, etc. I sent an email and tried calling Rudino's to discuss but they refuse to reply back.

People…read morewhispered about its crust like it was sacred text, and its awards lined the walls like a shrine to melted cheese and triumph. "Best Pizza" many years running back when that actually meant something. Now? It feels less like a restaurant and more like a nostalgic reenactment gone very wrong. The menu still reads like a dream--Carolina crust this, atomic sauce that--but ordering has become a real exercise in imagination. Half the ingredients are apparently on a spiritual journey and no longer physically present. You'll ask for sharp cheddar and get a thoughtful pause, followed by, "We don't have sharp cheddar, we might have a Wisconsin sharp cheddar?" --which, to their credit, has the word "cheddar" in it. The staff move with the energy of a group project that everyone forgot was due today. Pizzas emerge... interpretively. You might order a margherita and receive something that captures its essence, emotionally, if not structurally. It's less "wrong order" and more "pizza as a suggestion." A master of creative problem-solving, this cashier has boldly redefined the concept of "making change." Why fumble with buttons and math when you can simply hand over two beers and call it even? It's less of a transaction and more of a surprise gift exchange--one where the rules are unclear and the outcome is mildly concerning. And the wine list--oh, the wine list--is a beautiful historical document. A relic. A time capsule from at least six months ago, when bottles still existed and hope flowed freely. Now, asking for wine feels like asking about a long-lost friend. "We don't have that," they'll say, gazing into the middle distance. Still, there's something oddly annoying about it all. Like walking into a once-revered theater that still clings to its golden-age reputation. The performances feel like echoes rather than art, the lighting flat where it once dazzled, and every scene drags with the weight of trying to live up to a forgotten past. It's not bad enough to be a disaster--just disappointing enough to make you wonder if the hype was ever real or if you're just eating the ghost of someone else's great experience. Cheers!
