It's so convenient to order from the app - they have a lot of online/takeout specials so it's definitely recommended to download the app/order online ahead of time (also good for their rewards program). My order has always been ready by the time I arrive. The ingredients are high quality and the pizza is so tasty. The pizza dough has a soft chewiness to it and their red sauce is delicious. I appreciate how easy it is to customize my pizza through the app and the variety of ingredients they offer (they have vegan cheese!). I would consider this more of a gourmet pizza - this is not a standard chain pizza like Domino's... they use high quality ingredients and their pizzas are made with the care of a local family shop + the convenient ordering options of an established chain. I love Blaze but hated my experience here. It was dirty. Beyond dirty, downright appalling. All the ingredients were scattered among the floor and stepped on smashing it into the floor. The employees were NOT using gloves to make the pizza just digging in with their bacteria filled hands. I was completely mortified. It was mass confusion and disorganized. The crazy part is it was a Friday at 1 p.m. no special promotional deals or days going on. It was chaos for nothing. I was super embarrassed because I had hyped the whole Blaze experience up to a coworker. I explained the process and taste to a T. Imagine my horror to turn that corner and see the sauces mixed into one another. Pesto in the alfredo, alfredo in the spicy. Like, ummm helllloooo food allergies ring a very dangerous bell?? No? Oh, okay proceed. I was fixated on the fact that there was loads of ingredients heavily sprinkled across the floor and sisnt catch that they were using gloves to prep. I made my usual order of bacon, mushroom, roasted garlic, peppers and onions. Pretty simple huh? Nope. Not simple enough. Looked like a pile of garbage going in and even worse, soggy coming out. To wrap up this ish show, we get to the guy who cuts the burn off the crust and gives you sauce as a finishing touch. I chose BBq but this guy heard buffalo, I yelled louder "BBQ!" He responded AGAIN "BUFFALO??" This was the point where I had to remind myself of a few things: 1. I was in uniform with Hospital ID on me. 2. I was at lunch and due to be back soon. 3. I'm too damned pretty to get locked up in Essex county. Over pizza. Okay raging moment over. I love Chipotle and therefore I love places that follow Chipotle's build your own meal. For under $10, you can build your own personal pan pizza with as many toppings as you like. So awesome! Staff is pretty friendly as you mull over what fixins' you want to put on your pie. I was a little disappointed that they didn't ask me what kind of dough I wanted, and I didn't realize this until half way through the building process :( It was a little disorganized towards the end because I was waiting to pay for my order but there was nobody at the register as the staff was busy cutting up pies. The pie is definitely is a little messy since the crust is thin. I'd suggest not getting too many ingredients, try not to load up on too many 'wet' ingredients, and going for the thicker dough. So I came here for Blaze's $3.14 PERSONALIZE pizza for pie day and, although the line was HELL (over 45 minutes long), the customer service you get once you get to the front of the line is AMAZING. I love how you can customize your pizza and put whatever (literally whatever) you want on it and the staff will perfect it to the tee. I don't think I've ever had a bad experience at Blaze and I'm glad it didn't start today! There are ample amount of parking (since it's at a shopping complex) and seat inside the restaurant. The staff was much more interested in each other than customers. For personal pizzas, I prefer thin crust cause it's easier to eat and less burden with carbs. You can either make your own or pick one of their specials. I got the green stripe, which has chicken, peppers, arugula, and pesto drizzled on top after it comes out of the oven. Even if it's not make your own, you can still tailor the given ingredients. Like I had them add more cheese and garlic and added some flaked salt. I also got the flake salt and chocolate cookie, which you can have it warmed. Also good. Just a pizza and cookie is like $12. I am not going to write in depth about Blaze Pizza. Besides the customization of the small pies that they have to offer it is straight forward. They are semi quick and have decent customer service. Although nothing can replace a full bodied thick dough from your typical pizza place, Blaze has seemed to perfect "fast" personalized pizza service to keep up with this generation of "I want it how I like it" people. Adults and kids alike love the pizza and my 4 and 6 year old can eat a personal pie alone in just under 20 mins. As an adult I would probably have to order 2 larges to be satisfied. OMG was this service seriously sub par. First off I was the only one on line and no one greeted me and had me standing there a few minutes without even a welcome or I'll be right with you. Ordering was fine and went fairly well but the last person to cut the pizza and hand it to you needs to be retrained or reassigned. Two things my pizza was burnt on the edges and after mentioning it he started cutting away the edges.... Really? It wasn't burnt on the bottom so I didn't care that much but what did bother me he didn't give me pesto on my green tripe pizza. When I asked him about the green sauce that goes on it he said "what sauce is that" I told him I don't know what ever is on the green stripe. "He said this one" and picked up a bottle of something and I repeated that "I don't know what's in that bottle I just need what goes on the green stripe " he said Ok this is the only green one. Another pizza was supposed to have arugula on it... Never happened I had to bring it back and mention it. OK so now my son needed to use the bathroom, toilet was clogged I went and told them and the guy said yeah I know someone already told us. I went to use the women's restroom instead and that toilet was clogged too. I went back to tell them and they went and tried to fix it. Didn't happen had to have my 3 yr old pee in a cup. Ok so if that wasn't enough I my son thought he got chocolate milk but picked up regular milk instead when I went to exchange it they pointed to the area, which I already looked through and said it's right there. I explained there's only milk and he said he would get more from the back but didn't happen. So I got a cup instead and gave my son lemonade. The pizza was very good but the service was abhorrent. This is our second time to Blaze pizza in Livingston. Since the one in Willowbrook closes at 9:00 PM, we went here for a quick bite. We ordered online a couple of gluten free pizzas, non-veg and veg. I like my veg pizza with a variety of veg toppings. When we went in, we were the only customers, yet, they missed a few veg toppings on my pizza even this time. It does surprise me that they did have veggies, as can be seen in photos, and had no other customers and still missed my veggies. They also missed pesto drizzle on my pizza, however, with the kind of oil my pizza had, it was better that pesto drizzle was forgotten. We do go occasional to the Blaze Pizza in Willowbrook mall. I find the customer service at Blaze Pizza, Willowbrook mall is certainly better than that of Livingston despite the crowds. read more

I went to Blaze Pizza on my lunch break. I wanted to order ahead of time online but I wanted to use a gift card but was not able to so I had to go in. I am glad I had an hour because some of the workers didn't seem to be in much of a rush. I ordered the create my own pizza with the thicker crust. I guess the girl making it decided to use two pizza crusts that were already made but she did not lone them up correctly. Once the pizza cooked, the crust separated and it was a little hard to hold. I got chicken, turkey meatball, spinach, mozzarella, feta, whole and crushed garlic with classic red sauce and garlic pesto sauce around the crust. The woman at the front, a lovely, friendly, smiley woman, asked if we had been there before and proceeded to (without the usual eye roll you get when you say you're vegan) explain all our options. Then she and her equally friendly co-worker helped us assemble our pizzas. There were an insane amount of veggie choices! I wound up having the best vegan pizza I've had in a very long time! Really disappointed! I am a yelp lurker and don't usually write reviews, but I felt compelled to do so for this location. I used to love this place, especially when it first opened. I would come here all the time with my family and friends. They used to do such a great job with their pizzas. Even during the worst part of the pandemic the quality was very good given the circumstances. However, over the last couple months the quality has absolutely taken a nose dive. The entire staff at this location made a very positive impression on me. When I came in on a Friday evening, they ran out of the basil pesto sauce. Multiple people apologized and thanked me for waiting for the new batch to come out. I was even given a free pizza coupon for my next visit, and I barely waited that long. I think Joe C. (hope I got his name correct) is one of the managers at this particular store, and he was very efficient and courteous when cutting my pizza. I have been to the Livingston Blaze twice since it opened. Honestly, they have no right to be as busy as they are. My fist time there, I went to refill my drink and put a lid on it but there were no lids. In addition, there was no toilet tissue in the ladies rest room, as per my wife. I told the kids behind the counter and waited 15 minutes and then left. Nothing was taken care of. On my second visit, the person preparing the dough for the next person left her station. I waited approx 10 min for someone else to come and take over her job. There is NO manager in view. The place is a pig pen. No one cleans up the tables and wipes them down for the next patron. Although the pizza is good and I do enjoy it, I do not enjoy frequenting an establishment run by children. read more

I went there on Sunday with my husband and I ordered a pizza with vegan cheese and was immediately impressed that the young woman who made my pizza asked me if I wanted her to change her gloves. I saw her not only change her gloves, bur was her hands. The pizza was delicious and fresh! My husband also enjoyed his experience!
