First time trying Blaze Pizza and I was impressed! We got 2 build-your-own 11-inch pizzas. One with pineapple, spinach, and banana peppers and the second had pineapple, spinach, chicken, and mushrooms. The pizzas were good both warm and cold but it felt like it was missing something. We ordered the hot honey drizzle to go over it and it was forgotten, but if it was added I'm sure it would have taken the pizza to another level. We ordered for delivery so I'm not sure how the ambiance inside the restaurant is, but the food arrived not too long after we placed the order. It took about 20-25 minutes. I stop in here for lunch with coworkers once every two months. I get the lunch special (pick two), half a personal pizza, choice of salad (I substitute Caesar) or sometimes garlic bread. It comes with a small drink for approximately $10.99. The chain partially owned by the one and only LeBron James offers value, quick service and very fresh ingredients. This location is not too far from USF. We never have a problem grabbing a booth or table, as they turn over quickly. You order your crust, pick your sauce and toppings. It can all be customized even after you select one of the specialty pizzas. It's a fast convenient favorite, and will definitely return multiple times. I went here to pick up lunch while in the USF area. They caught my eye because they had vegan options that weren't an additional price like other restaurants. When I walked in, the staff were kind and ready to help. I got the Take Two with a Build Your Own 11 inch pizza and the Pesto Garlic Cheesy Bread. They both were delicious! I loved that they allowed me to get up to 15 veggies on my pizza. I got almost all of them! They also had a vegan chorizo that was quite tasty. You are also able to choose from a variety of finishes to go on top of your pizza, which you can choose up to 10. I kept it simple with an olive oil drizzle and oregano. The cheesy bread is made with vegan dough with the perfect layer of cheese and a yummy pesto drizzle on top. You get a side of Mariana to dip it in. I was able to save half of it and ate it the next day. It still tasted just as fresh. I look forward to going back here when I'm in the area. read more

Fowler is a busy and fast street, so be alert when pulling in to or out of the mini plaza that Blaze is in. There isn't too much parking, as it's nextdoor to a chipotle and insomnia cookie...but you can use the auto shop's three spots at night. There's a good amount of seating inside, but on weekend nights and on 3.14 day, it's packed. The seating area can get a bit dirty, and the trash piles up, but it isn't too bad. The line moves fairly quickly and the staff is nice. They'll pile your pizza high if you want them to. On a couple of my visits, there were a few people who would basically put a mountain of toppings on their pizza -- a literal mountain; and they paid the same price as everyone else. So hey, they give you the pizza you ask for. There was one employee there that kept giving the wrong pizzas to people, which was upsetting since you'd rather not have people's fingers and breath on your food but I haven't seen him on our recent visits. Anyways, Blaze has become our go-to spot for personal pizzas. read more

You make it yourself so if you don't like it, it's pretty much on you because the regular dough is great and they have never burned one of my pizzas. I love Blaze Pizza ! I love that I have the capability to personalize every aspect about my pizza and that they have so many options , EVEN VEGAN AND GLUTEN FREE. Customer Service is nice. It's pretty loud, so as it was my first time ordering in person (&not online) an employee tried to explain some things but couldn't hear her well and she was kinda confusing with pricing. The pricing itself on the menu, I do believe is starting price for the 11in pizzas. There are 11in, 14in, half an 11in, sides, desserts, and bowls. Everyone working there are in mask, properly worn is a different story but mouths are covered, for sureness Don't sleep on the spicy VEGAN chorizo ... oh my, it's so good and spicy. There are so many options, like subway but OD and for pizza ! My only critique and reason for four stars is that they are pretty skimp on toppings when you ask for them. I always had to say "a little more please", "can you add more", or something like that. There was a pizza joint called PizzaFire in USF Taj/Grain and Berry plaza around 2017 that had a similar MO to Blaze Pizza. They went out of business in 2019. MY research indicates that Blaze has existed since 2011 so maybe PF ripped them off? Who knows? Anyhoo, I tried to go to Blaze in Wesley Chapel but for some reason I couldn't find it even with navigation. Maybe the Elder Gods fated this to happen so I wouldn't have to drive 12 miles and only 4. Woot! Blaze is in a small plaza that has PDQ, Chipotle, Insomnia Cookies, and Take 5 Oil in case your car is hungry too. BP's claim to fame is a Chipotle-esque assembly line where you customize your whole pizza and it is then put into a 900 F oven that cooks it in 3 minutes. Toppings are unlimited (with a caveat.) Pros: Customer Service. I said this was my first time. The employees patiently explained the options and didn't rush. Toppings. They have a wide variety of vegetarian and meat toppings and some unusual ones like spinach leaves,, broccoli, and vegan chorizo. All the toppings were a lot more fresh than Papa Johns and some other chains. The spicy red sauce is yummy too. Get that! Price. This is a 11 inch diameter pizza meant for one person. That is in between a small and medium size for Papa Johns. The default price w/o any crust mods is $9. (9.58 with Tampa sales tax) This is quite economical and could even be 2 meals for kids and some women (Not Lizzo) Cons: The only real drawback is that the crust is VERY thin and thus is a bit insubstantial (in terms of satiety) compared to many other restaurants. Im guessing this helps in getting the pizza cooked fast and keeping expenses low. There is a high rise crust mod that costs $2.50 extra. There are keto and cauliflower crusts that are an extra 2-3 dollars. While the toppings are unlimited, they only apply each sparingly. I can understand bc they have to make a profit to stay in business. I would recommend getting as many as you can to get the most value for your money. Overall: A tasty and budget friendly pizza choice that is better than many chains. read more

Came here for Pi Day! An 11 inch pizza was $3.14. What a deal! I did the build your own. I chose the classic dough with a white cream sauce. I added shredded mozzarella and goat cheese. For my meat I picked applewood bacon. For my veggies I picked black olives, red onion, and roasted garlic. For my finish I picked a pesto drizzle and a ranch drizzle and sprinkled it with sea salt and oregano. Yum! Came out of the oven perfect! Blaze Pizza usually hits just right except this location was fifthy, from the overflowing trash area at the entrance to the toppings prep area to the pick-up area. There were remnants of topping all over the prep area. I asked for the manager so I could discuss it with him. I had failed to bring my phone in so I have no pictures. The cashier pointed to the manager who was RIGHT beside her with his back turned. He had to have heard the entire conversation. Instead of involving him, she stepped up and handled it. She deserves to be in management. While she grabbed a towel and cleaned the entire prep area, the manager nonchalantly when on about his business as if he didn't notice. I thought he would help at some point. Nope. It was so nasty that as she cleaned, toppings were dropping in other food buckets where they shouldn't be. She and a staff member responsible for my pizza politely picked toppings out of other food buckets. I've visited many Blaze Pizzas and have never seen one like this. No, they weren't short handed. There were at least 9-10 staff members on hand. The staff member who prepared our pizzas was awesome! When we got to the pick up area, my husband requested that they use new pizza cutters. Old dried up food was all over the cutters and it was beyond time to clean or swap out. Again, they immediately got new cutters. The staff exhibited excellent customer service and is the reason this location gets three stars. They were all friendly and had no problems cleaning. In fact, I have no idea why the manager on duty hadn't requested that they clean as they go. He failed at setting the standard for cleanliness. Our pizzas were delicious. Recommend get take out/pickup. Avoid dining in if you can, because the tables are dirty and they are too short staff to clean up tables or empty the 1 garbage can in the dining room. You order first, then pay, then seat yourself, they will call your name when the food is ready and you come up to the counter to get it. I recommend skip the tip. I don't often say this but they don't deserve a tip. Just pay for your food (and drink) and leave it at that. They don't bring out the food to you, they don't clean after you or anyone else, so no point in tipping. I tipped 20% because this was my first time there and I didn't know better. FOOD: Good tasting, made to order thin crust pizza. It's not very filling though. One person can easily finish one pizza because it's thin crust. They do have a decent variety of pizza options or you if you don't take their option you can make your own. We got 2 pizzas, first was Veg Out (with original dough and pesto sauce), second pizza was a 1 topping (chicken, original dough and tomato sauce) I don't live near here so take-out wasn't a good option for us. We ate there and had to clean the table up from the prior inconsiderate customer who left all their stuff on the table. All the available tables were dirty, most had dishes on them. Not sure if people did not know they are supposed to clean up after themselves or they left dishes on the table because the 1 garbage can in the dining room was completely full and had stuff stacked on top. There are 9 workers behind the counter but apparently no one can can take a few minutes to clean up tables or empty the garbage, that bothers me. This is my 3rd time at this blaze and it was an average experience. Impression is 2.5/5 overall It was a build your own pizza and here is my overall impression Food: 3/5 I like blaze pizza but this location is not my favorite. On one occasion I got a bad stomachache after eating a third of the pizza Service:2.5/5 On this order they got the order wrong in terms of the dressing and when I pointed it out he put the wrong sauce and than he put another incorrect sauce after that in a span of 2 minutes. It would be more understandable if he had apologized or acknowledged it any way but instead he was silent and gave off a vibe of annoyance A caveat here is that this location is right next to USF so the convenience is optimal but I think this may be a reason why the service and quality of food is noticeable below the standard of other Blaze locations read more

This pizza spot is located in a busy plaza with Insomnia cookies and Chick Fil A right next door. I was a student at USF back in the day and am jealous we didn't have this awesome spot. This is my new go to pizza spot! I love the option to customize your pizza toppings. My favorite is the red vine with minced garlic added. And you can't get any fresher than right out the fire oven. The menu has a wide range of pizza toppings and cheese sticks. There's also delicious lemonade drinks. This is a great place to sit down for a quick bite or take a pizza to go. read more
