    Salmon and Polenta :)
    Matthew O.

Solid experience coming here! Love the relaxing ambiance and the friendly servers. Food was a good portion size for the price that you pay. I got the Salmon with Polenta and it was very good. Nice and moist salmon that wasn't overcooked on a bed of rich polenta. Love the char on the broccolini! Service was a little slow at first getting water and drinks to us, but after that it was fine. Overall, a solid place to go to for a good weekend meal :)

What a pleasant surprise for dinner in midtown Tampa. We tried Bellabrava on a whim and were so glad we did. My wife and I shared the Margherita pizza as an appetizer. It came out perfectly crisp with just the right balance of sauce and cheese. For my main course, I went with the lasagna Bolognese, which was rich, hearty, and packed with flavor. Evan, our server, made the whole experience even better with his friendly attitude and excellent recommendations. Great food, great service, and a warm atmosphere in midtown. We'll definitely be back. Salute!

This restaurant has delicious food! Everything we ordered was made well and had lots of flavor! They do give a lot of food so you can share or have leftovers if you're not too hungry. The service was pretty good, we had to remind our waiter to refill our waters and bring the bread appetizer, but he was attentive and nice. The restaurant is located in a good spot by the pier and feels kind of fancy. I would definitely come back.

BellaBrava is part of Tampa's Midtown, which is a great place for people watching and patio dining -especially at sunset. My first experience was good! The cocktails were crafted well and the menu offered Gluten-Free pasta dishes. Everything was tasty, generously portioned and saucy. My shrimp could have been fresher tasting but an enjoyable experience overall.

My wife and I grabbed a quick lunch here. We've been to a few places in Midtown and wanting to try something new, stopped in here. The place wasn't super busy on a weekday for lunch. Our server was around quick and got us settled with drinks. My wife had a sangria and I had a draft beer, a Yuengling. For lunch we ordered the pizzetta and insalata. A lunch sized portion of a pizza with a salad to start. $15.99. As we waited for our food, I noticed that the chairs here were really comfortable. I have a shorter stature and the armchair perfectly fit me. The food didn't take long though. I got the prosciutto and burrata pizza. Topped with mozzarella, asiago, oven dried tomato and basil pesto. The salty and exquisite prosciutto balanced out well with the milky, buttery decadent burrata. It was really good. This was all placed on a freshly made in-house dough that added to the flavor. You can always tell when dough is freshly made, the texture and flavor is just better. It was a fantastic pizza. The salad that we had to start was also good. I should have mentioned that first but my mind just went to the pizza. My wife ordered the hot Sicilian pizza. This is their version of a meats pizza and it comes with a kick. I would have ordered it had it not been spicy. She enjoyed it though. My wife doesn't mind spicy things and this definitely had a kick. We'd come back here again.

First time visiting here and it was a great choice considering I was in the mood for some good Italian food. It's in a great location but parking can be a bit of a challenge. The three of us were about to get seated right away. Had a decent size crowd for a Tuesday night. Our server was great. Even got him to recommend a nice bottle of red wine even though he admitted he wasn't really a wine officianado. We ordered the meatballs for a starter. I highly recommend. The bread that accompanied them was better than the starter bread that they give you. For the main I went with the Gnocchi Alla Vodka, although I was really struggling to choose between that and the Short Rib Raggu. I'm definitely gonna have to come back here to try that soon. The gnocchi was on point and cooked to perfection. Accompanied by a great bottle of red wine and let's not forgot (I almost did) the great caesar salad that I made dissappear right before the entree. Definitely a place I would come back to. Highly recommend.

Had an early dinner here between our escape rooms. They bring out fresh focaccia bread to the table. It was hot and fresh, but we felt it was a little to dense of a bread for our liking, but it had a lot of really good flavor. We had the fried polenta, bruschetta, and beef carpaccio as our appetizers. I could not even get a picture of the carpaccio before the kids devoured it - they really enjoyed it. We all thought the bruschetta could use a bit more cheese on it, but it was still flavorful. We all really liked the friend polenta and with the honey drizzle on top the flavors were perfect. My daughter and I shared the black truffle pasta and the ravaoli. Both were really good and we really enjoyed them both. The kitchen was able to split both orders for us so it made it easy for us to eat and not have to pass plates around. My other daughter had the strawberry burrata salad. She separated it since she just likes her burrata plain and it was delicious. She said the strawberry salad was also really good. They have a lot of great drinks to try. I did the limoncello spritz and it was well balanced, but I would have preferred a little more limoncello. The service was great and the restaurant was clean and modern decor. We did have an early dinner and many arrivals were coming in so the volume did start increasing as we were heading out.

Sat outside for a Saturday lunch in Midtown. This is a cute area of town with shops and restaurants. The outside is a cute basic patio but perfect for enjoying a Saturday lunch. Our service was attentive and responsive. We loved all our food! I love the salt, garlic and EVOO that comes with focaccia! Yummy! The salad was fresh and I enjoyed the Italian balsamic! We had the RI calamari and we're from RI and it was spot on! Delish! Pizza, chicken parm, fries all great!! Will definitely put this on the list of stops! The basil lime drink was delicious and refreshing! I hope it's on the menu next time I'm there!

Came for brunch with my girls, we love bellabrava! Never been for the brunch but the food is great, the French toast was alright, but otherwise the rest of the food was delicious! The service there is always friendly and quick, we will continue to come back!

The Wagyu burger was excellent, one of the best burgers I ever had. The pizza was solid for Florida pizza. Overall, really enjoyed this place. Great vibe, location, atmosphere and our waiter was attentive and friendly. Well done.

Food was ok. Atmosphere nice. Looks like they have a good weekend brunch. I ate lunch here Sunday and Monday. Bothe were ok. The gnocchi was decent but I prefer it unstuffed. Day two I had the chicken pesto melt sandwich. That had a lot of flavor. Fries were good too

Tampa bay staple. I was first introduced to BellaBrava in St Pete. This location definitely follows suit while providing a more modern atmosphere. Casual fine dining Italian. That's how I would describe it similar to the Saint Pete location. Pasta is always fresh, drinks are well poured, and serving staff for the most part are always friendly and helpful. Sometimes the food can take a little longer than we would hope, but 9/10 times it would not disappoint. Only our most recent visit do we have an issue with a plate - staff still made the effort to take care of us, which I appreciated. I recommend a reservation, especially if going on the weekends.

(though still comically high) Rocca continues to be solid, if not spectacular. Two things I think hold it back; first, value. The prices feel too high relative to the portion/tastiness. A great comparison restaurant to Rocca would be Rezdora in Manhattan. I would put Rezdora a few rungs above Rocca in quality/flavor (it's one of the top 100 restaurants in NYC per the NY Times and has a Michelin star, very different than landing one in Tampa) yet the prices at Rocca are effectively the same (each have a traditional ragu at $28). You also don't have to look as far as Manhattan. Just across the bay is Elliott Aster who I think delivers more delicious food, in heartier portions, at a better price point. Given Rocca is perpetually fully-booked, Tampa is obviously okay with their prices, so I suppose 'don't hate the player' (you can't begrudge anyone from charging what they can in this restaurant environment), but for me the value isn't there. Second - I think the inside could use some work. Looking at Eliott Aster, Predalina, or Ponte you can see an example of more elevated interior design. I think Rocca comes off more kitschy than 'homey'.

I made a reservation on Open Table for 2 p.m. My husband and I live in the South Shore area and one of our sons lives in St. Petersburg. For each of us, it's a 45 minute to an hour drive to get to Casa Santo Stefano. My husband (the Dad whom we were celebrating) and I arrived @ 1:45. We get to the door with about 10 other patrons and the door is LOCKED. After a couple of minutes, the door opens and we're told the restaurant is closed due to an "emergency" but that the restaurant may open later that night and anyone with a reservation was notified. I checked my phone and received an email from Open Table stating " the restaurant canceled your reservation" at 1:10 p.m. Everyone was already on the road and we don't check emails while driving. Why not post a sign on the door instead of having patrons stand outside in 100° heat wondering what happened? We didn't see emergency personal, a fire truck or ambulance, so thankfully it wasn't anything catastrophic. Knowing the Columbia and Casa Santo Stefano are owned by the same family, we walked to the Columbia, they graciously honored our reservation. We had a great meal even though it wasn't the Italian Sunday pasta we were anticipating. Someone told me Casa posted that they were open at 4 p.m. on Monday. Good thing we didn't wait around on Sunday. Casa Santo Stefano, how about doing right by your disappointed patrons? How about comping a meal for Dad or least a complimentary glass of wine, coffee and dessert so I can change this 1 star review to a 5 star!

Wow, this is one of the best happy hours I've ever been to!! I had a reservation for 5pm and we…read morewere not seated until 5:18, but the HH value made up for it. Their HH runs until 6pm every day and I HIGHLY recommended making a trip for it. The menu advertises pizza by the slice but it actually comes with 2 slices! My partner and I each got a pizza and then split the truffles fries and chicken wings, all on the HH menu. Everything was phenomenal. I can't wait for their location in st Pete to open soon, I will definitely be paying a visit.

My husband and I been wanting to try this restaurant, and finally we went for brunch, everything…read morewas great! It was very busy but that didn't affect our service or our food, we started with some wings and a couple drinks, I am a fan of Hugo spritz, and this one was very good! My husband does not drink, so we are always looking for fun mocktails! He tried the Kiwi-osity, I also tried a sip and it was delicious! We also ordered some calamari, it was pretty average, but okay! Now, their truffle fries are out of this world, very well balanced! But the star of the day was my wedge salad, the mix between all the ingredients is just a match made in heaven! The shrimp that I choose to add was also very well seasoned and tasty! I am sure coming back to try something from their dinner menu. Paige was our waitress, she was wonderful and so sweet! I have to come back during the week to admire a little more the atmosphere, I always take a peak of their bar, and it looked very beautiful! I have to come back and sit there! Their patio is also beautiful!
