I recently visited Blazin Pizza with a friend who lives near Emory. I had the Driver Engine pizza and I am not exaggerating when I say it has to be the best pizza I have ever had. We also had their Triple Cheese Flatbread which was excellent! The service was outstanding and atmosphere was great! My only problem is I am now craving their Driver Engine pizza and I live in Plano! Guess I'm gonna have to visit Emory more often! read more

Atmosphere was good. Kinda like a fire station. We ordered the calamari. It was good, just a little over cooked-chewy. We also ordered the captain pizza. It was ok.. and I hate to say this but it kinda tasted like a frozen pizza. The pizza came out not really hot and it wasn't crispy at all. We turned around and seen the pizza oven and thought.. no way. Ever since we left Chicago we have been on the look out for that Texan Aurelio's or JJ's pizza place. Guess we gotta keep looking. Wow! Absolutely fantastic. Excellent pizza. Cheese curds were superb. Frozen Jack & Coke super tasty. And the Fire Chief (aka adult milkshake pictured) was so good, it's like a dessert. Kahlua and rum and you better be careful if you have more than one, you might stumble out the door. Love the concept and the atmosphere. Service was great. Friendly and attentive. Best pizza in town. WHAT????? I am a Regional Sales Manager with a very large budget. I travel weekly to high end restaurants and nothing prepared me for the Margherita pizza this little place had to offer. Very disappointed with the service I received from this place. It's already overpriced and horrible small portions for what they charge but to come in order a Togo because we like to give second chances and support local businesses but at what expense? To be left at the front counter for over 10 minutes with nothing but a head nod from your staff just to be treated like we are inpatient when there are only two tables in the whole place that had customers at them. Then we get our food and like I said earlier in this post it's a toddlers portion for everything yet we are charged as if each item feeds a family of 4. You guys desperately need to do better and stop trying to justify the overpricing because you donate a portion to the fire department. The food is outstanding and for the best Bloody Mary on the planet, this is the place. The restaurant is nicely decorated and spacious with high ceilings and lots of firehouse themed wall decorations. The service is also very good and prices are reasonable. I highly recommend. read more

Unique find in Emory Texas. We found it while searching for unusual places to eat with our 11 year old grandson. This pizza place has a first responders theme -heavy on firefighting memorabilia. The full bar is set up behind the full can of fire engine. We had the big tatertots and calamari then we ordered the supreme pizza for us and the grandson got a pepperoni pizza for himself. The pizza was excellent, crust was perfectly cooked, toppings were abundant. We also got a chocolate chip cookie 'pizza' with vanilla ice cream... delicious and perfect as we were celebrating a birthday! We adults also had Jack and Diet Coke which was refreshing! It was probably a bit $$$ for a pizza place ( our bill was $100.00 ) but they also have burgers, bowls, they're hip to keto food...we'll definitely go back . read more

Have driven past this place many times while going camping, etc. We were camping at nearby Lake Tawakani State Park, so decided to give it a try. I ordered a small Captain (supreme) pizza and my wife had lasagna. My pizza was just okay. If you just have to have a pizza, this will do the trick, but it's nothing to write home about. I probably won't bother going back. My wife really enjoyed the lasagna though. They have burgers though, so I might would go back for one of those. The waitress was very nice. It is a cool looking place too. As others have commented, the pizzas are smaller advertised too. My small 8" was only around 6.5." But it was pretty thick. read more

The owner has a horrible attitude. The servers were great! The burger meat tasted spoiled and we quietly said something to our server. We were just going to change to wings but the owner came over and told us it was Black Angus high quality meat and it wasn't spoiled. Then walked away with a horrible attitude. These unique recipes have been honed to precision and on the menu for a reason! This place should be featured on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives.  Don't miss the toasted raviolis as they are seriously next level stuff. The crispy outside and perfectly soft inside, with the perfect amount and blends of cheese just hits a spot for us. Had to order it twice on the same trip.  The buffalo chicken pizza with ranch substituted for Bleu cheese is a unique pairing of flavors that 99% can't even get close to pulling off. It'll touch places you didn't know you had on your taste buds. Haven't tried much else and with how good it is I may not ever.  They have an honest brick oven that turns out amazing food. If you're looking for cheap bland dominoes or the like, go elsewhere. If you want epic food for a more than fair price, cooked by folks who obviously care about the end result, this is for you.  I cook, am a food critic, and rarely eat fast food, so take my opinion for what it's worth. I'm hard to please and rarely impressed.  On another note, service was quick and friendly, the bathroom was as clean as can be and smelled good, and the place is open and inviting.  Go support these folks so they're there the next time I make an hour+ trip out there to enjoy their unique flavors! read more

Well we came to this new facility while out and about. WOW very nice place. The staff was great. The owner came and talked for fighting with us. Great memorability inside the restaurant. The pizza is oven cooked and there was plenty of ingredients on the pizza. Cooked as we asked. They have a bar inside and open air dining if you desire. Price was great. The wall of patches representing Firefighters, EMS, and Law Enforcement was great. Everything was clean and organized. The restrooms were very nice. Give them a chance to prepare a pizza for you. We had an incredible experience at this place! 2 oven baked crispy individual pizzas, the most incredible cheese sticks (they call them cheese curds, as they are in small bite size pieces), one beer, one bar drink, & one wine for a little over $50. In the area, the 2 of us can eat for under $25, but those places are usually BYOB, so with the availability of a full adult beverage selection, we actually felt like the pricing was in line with or cheaper than anything in Tyler or DFW. The service was spot ON!! We were greeted at the door. Our waitress took our drink orders quickly and allowed us time to peruse the menu. Drinks arrived quickly. Food ordered, and it arrived in a timely manner as well. We never felt rushed and our waitress kept her eye out for us in case we needed anything. And this is definitely a step up from most restaurant interiors in the area. It has a Fire Departments type atmosphere! And big screen TV's that show not only sports, but the funny family clips with crazy people doing crazy things. We probably were full after the cheese curds (again...the BEST big basket of mini- cheese sticks we have EVER shared/eaten). But we had some of the pizzas and took the rest home. We've eaten at Blazin Pizza for several years when they were located in Point, TX. My family and I are so happy that they opened a new restaurant in Emory. I also wish they would have kept the restaurant in Point open in addition to the new restaurant. Blazin Pizza is family owned, and the decor is firefighter themed. The restaurant even has a full sized firetruck as the bar, and two wood burning pizza ovens. We always love to start our meal with the cheese curds or margherita flatbread. We usually get The Captain Pizza and then we always get BBQ Chicken Pizza, it is not on the menu, but they always make it for my daughter when we ask. They have a huge outside area in the back as well. The only drawback is that it is busy!!! I'm not sure if this is because of the fact that Emory is growing or that the only other place to get pizza is Pizza Hut. Blazin Pizza is a wonderful, family friendly addition to Emory, TX. The atmosphere is wonderful for birthday parties and the food is delicious!!! read more

Mad props to this place. We made a reservation for 15 - which unexpectedly doubled. They handled it no problem. Our server was great and the rest of the staff was very friendly. Pricing was reasonable and the food was excellent. Not to mention, they didn't mind putting the supercross races on for us....and they have a full bar. So - win/win. read more

Food was mediocre. The tater bombs are better at the gas station down the street. We were in town for a fishing tournament so we have never been to this restaurant. Our waitress was helpful and very sweet but the owner/manager lady is very rude and disrespectful to her employees AND customers. We witnessed her yelling at 2 of her waitresses and take cash from them. That is why this review gets 2 stars. I will not be returning to this pizza joint because of her. I have eaten at Blazin Pizza in Emory, Texas 3 times in the past year (2023 and 2024). If you want tough pizza crust, this is the place to find it. These pizza crusts have a remarkable similararity to the kind used for frozen pizzas. So while I can't say the pizza crust at Blazin Pizza IS frozen, I suspect it is. These crusts are about 3/8" thick, oily, tough, and difficult to cut even with the knives provided. The biggest clue that Blazin is using factory-made crusts is that they're all EXACTLY the same size, perfectly round. They have the taste and texture you'd get with a typical frozen pizza. If you can get past the tough, hard, durable pizza crust, you'll soon get stopped at the cheese. The pizzas at Blazin rely heavily on a thick layer of cheese. I love cheese, but these pizzas lack balance and nuance by relying too heavily on cheese. If you really love cheese and mostly cheese on your pizza, you might like these pizzas. These pizzas are passable if you like the style and taste of frozen pizza. The kitchen uses use standard grade toppings like standard-issue canned black olives, and none of the other ingredients are remarkable. Again, you're in the arena of a frozen pizza experience here at Blazin. The margherita pizza uses their standard 3/8" tough crust, a thick layer of mozerella cheese, a few lighter spots of a 'fresh' mozzerella, diced tomatoes, and a light sprinkling of minced basil. This was in the ballpark of a margherita pizza, but not a faithful reproduction. If you can get past the tough and oily crust, the excess use of cheese was a problem because it hides the other flavors. You're surely not getting fresh minced garlic here. Blazin is located out in the country in Emory, Texas. While the interior decor is good for a mom-and-pop restaurant, the food is standard issue country fare which would not hold up long in the city. $18 or $19 for a "large" pizza, as of May 2024, is a poor value, especially considering the tough crust that has the taste and texture of a factory made frozen pizza. Blazin could vastly improve their product by making a legitimate, good quality, in-house pizza dough and cooking it at a very high temperature. The second thing they could do is make an an-house tomato sauce which would add flavor without adding much expense. If the crust was worth a darn, then the use of standard-issue plain ingredients and excessive cheese would be easier to overlook. I will say that the service here at Blazin is always friendly and fast and that's the only reason I ate here more than once. However if it was up to only me, and not other family members, I would not go back here. read more

Greasy burned bottom pizza, flat cokes and the last time I ate there, and it was the LAST, I saw the owner looking over seeing that I had not eaten the pizza and was getting ready to leave. The best part of my meal was the cheese bread! The owners were present but not interested with helping their staff with the minimal people that were dining in, but the patrons at the bar (their friends). We waited on drinks or a waitress in general for ever and near the end of our meal one of the gentleman at the bar had the audacity to walk around the restaurant and followed them outside looking for who pre-cranked their car because it was blinding them at the bar! This is a wonderful place to spend the evening eating, drinking, and people watching. Sit at the wrap-around bar and you might even make new friends. The menu is heavy on the pizza (duh) but they have several interesting appetizers as well as burgers. The full-service bar carrier some nice drafts, frozen drinks, and a few specialty cocktails. The staff is friendly and the place is always busy, so expect to wait for a bit (both to sit, to get service, and to get your food), but it is worth the wait.
