I've been here about 5 or 6 times, and the food has always been consistently good. The one thing that's usually been hit or miss is the customer service. Today's visit, however, completely changed that. We came in with a group of five and were taken care of by Beatriz. She was friendly, attentive, and checked on us throughout the meal to make sure everything was perfect and that we were enjoying ourselves. Her genuine warmth and attentiveness made this the best experience we've had since we first started coming here. To me, great customer service is about more than just taking an order--it's about making guests feel welcome, comfortable, and appreciated. PROS: Meat selection was great, generous and high quality. Have a nice space enough for people to have large parties. The kimchi bar is refilled timely. The sauce bar has recipes if you dont have one. They give you a generous scoop of ice cream after you eat as part of their AYCE Deal. CONS: There was a good 10-15mins pause where we do not have anything to eat in between and nothing cooking. It was a Sunday night and it was our anniversary dinner since we love Kbbq. One 10-15min pause is understandable considering its busy. But two pauses is kind of feels scammy which is a "rest" for people to be full considering this is an AYCE. we ordered wagyu brisket twice and got only regular brisket. Since the service was slow and we paused for a while, we just ate it. After that we ordered and emphasized the wagyu brisket again. But the regular brisket was delivered. Nothing on the menu says limit on wagyu brisket. Just on steak and scallops. This is another scammy feel that they think people wont notice. Wife and I came from San Diego, AWESOME, K-BBQ AYCE. The Service was outstanding, the Hosts just had a very sincere kind way about them like you're eating at their home. After having lunch in Temecula, and service wasn't so on point with engagement :), this was a very very pleasant surprise. But the Servers/Host/Waitress were all very attendant, and engaged when asking simple things like replacing the heating plate, or changing an order/canceling. Very very good, with smiles. This is the ideal service, by far, very engaging to the last, Ice cream offers. The food was great, love cook it at your table, so you can have the rawness as raw as you want :). I'm a very rare person my Wife, more on the medium cooked :). The meat quality was great, I'm a believer in fat, not too fatty, but has a flavor, versus, Lean. We mainly ordered Beef, Brisket, Belly and Beef Bulgogi. We did order some Pork Belly and that was great also. The good thing about fat, and I will say, the temperature they use you won't get that much burn on your cooking plate, if you've eaten at places like this. SLOW AND LOW IS GOOD :) Taste wise, all meats to me were great flavor, and these were choice cuts, tender. We didn't upgrade. Also had some of the cajun shrimp and you tasted flavor, very good, but shells lol. I'm a fond believer of shrimp with heads, even more flavor, but they removed the heads. i'll stay away from speculation :) The real elite level with this Restaurant, was the sauce and vegetable/Banchan/Kimchee.... bar. They have a sweet soy sauce, Garlic soy sauce, peanuts, red sliced chili, amongst others. Getting back to the Brisket and Beef belly, dipped in your own.........and your choice Ban Chan, took this style of eating to a whole new level. Ambiance, was great, very cool, if you know what i mean in the Desert, let alone eating Chili's :). They have vents directly over the cook top, very spacious, with table settings very space conscious for all types with good lighting and clean bathrooms. Will have a dark environment, with that mood lighting, kind of swank style, night clubbish. But elegant, comparable to Gen in San Diego, without the music, which is kind of nice and can converse without having to ask again lol. In summary, Food, Service, Ambiance, I'd give it an 11 out of 10. These kinds of places have to fit your eating personality :) I love to BBQ at home, either grilling or smoking or cooking Wagyu on a pan. Wife and I were in San Diego to celebrate my Bday. So our reference are places like Gen, and Mana, not bad, similar quality. But the Sauce and Ban Chan bar, takes it to another level. I typically don't like leavening bad reviews, but being Korean and going to a "Korean bbq" I expect quality. The rice isn't Korean rice, they use a longer grain that wasn't good. Meat was dry and it wasn't authentic. Kimchi doesn't taste homemade either. We also got smoked out due to the vents not working properly. Overall it looks nice inside, but I won't be coming back just for ambiance. I'd rather make authentic Korean food at home. read more

This review is mainly for the service, which was extremely slow. There were only five servers for the entire restaurant on a Saturday, and it definitely showed. Our table was missing a set of chopsticks, and although I asked the hostess for them, she never brought them. It also took 15-20 minutes just to get a beer. I asked for napkins as well, had to ask a second time, and finally received them about 45 minutes after I first requested them. Because of the poor service, I would not come back to this place. This is my absolute favorite Korean barbecue place to go out to here in Palm Desert. We love everyone there. They're always super nice food comes out quick unless it's really busy then it takes a little bit, but other than that the quality of the meat is really good whatever you order does not disappoint. I love the fact that they have a bunch of little sides. You can get make your own sauce as well. They always have amazing music playing in the background and at the end of all you can eat barbecue or hot pot if you choose that you get some ice cream to end an amazing time. Makes it when you're not using the hotpot since it's a flat surface on the table. Very nice setting less smokey with all the vents having an extended vaccum part. This place is a frequent and obvious go-to for my husband and I. Formal date night, casual friend hangout, birthday celebration, or really anything else, this place works for any occasion. Although it's on the higher end of price, it's very much worth it imo (as long as you're getting your money's worth of meat, that is). The service can be hit or miss, it's a good idea to come in earlier than you think you should, but lately we've been getting some great servers. Beatrice and Jacky are both awesome and we appreciated how attentive they were :D. My food recommendations are the chicken wings, the beef belly, and their kimchi! We usually do just hotpot and we've seldom had to wait for a table, but the KBBQ is also really good. Lots of choices and variety, the service is sometimes horrible and sometimes decent. Do not get the frozen wagyu, it's not worth it. In terms of seating arrangements, can be a bit odd. If you are over 5'11" in a booth configuration you will feel a bit crammed. My knees kept hitting the base of the table. Very convenient for hot pot and Korean bbq at the same time. Unfortunately, during our most recent visit, the kimchi tasted very unpleasant and did not seem fresh at all, which was really disappointing. I've enjoyed coming here in the past, but my last visit was far from pleasant. I came with my sisters and nephew, and we ordered both the BBQ and hot pot. Unfortunately, all the designated tables for hot pot and BBQ were taken, so they set up a portable stove on our table. While I appreciate the effort, the setup was cramped and inconvenient, especially for the additional $5 charge--it just didn't feel worth it. What really stood out, though, was the poor service. Our server neglected us the entire time, and it was by far the worst service we've ever experienced here. I hope this was just an off day for the restaurant, but it's hard to justify returning anytime soon after this experience. read more

We are regulars here because of the service and the good food. We love doing both the BBQ and the hot pot options! Food is always fresh and usually pretty quick to come out. However, today my family went to celebrate Juneteenth at our favorite restaurant, Blazing Kings. We had a waitress named Annette who wasn't very welcoming and ignored our table. She had us and three other tables wait an hour before coming back to refill drinks, broth and meat. She would ask us questions from across the room so we couldn't hear her. She was rude, told us to go get our own refills next time and very unenthusiastic about anything. We were not happy about the service today and about how us and other tables were treated. read more

Love that there are vegan options in both the kbbq and hotpot. Would be better if the pricing for vegans is less. The service is a little inconsistent. There are servers that are really good in making sure you have everything you need and there are others that wouldn't come to your table at all or even look at you when you need them. I didn't really like it. I was looking forward to the banchan and the beef bulgogi is my favorite, unfortunately it fell short for me. The banchan is self serve via buffet and it did not look nor taste good. I was so disappointed with the lack of seasoning on the beef bulgogi. My family and I decided to give this place a try since we have been dissatisfied with other local Korean bbq spots. We were so happy with this place. One of our biggest issues at other Korean bbq spots is that they only offer rice once and although we ask for more they never come around to getting us more or even sauces. Here they have a BAR yes I repeat a BAR!!! This bar you can get up and serve yourself anything at any time as well as fountain drinks without having to wait. This was definitely the selling point of us to keep going back when we crave Korean bbq. The food was delicious and the service was great everyone was really friendly and a delight.
