We were able to take advantage of a promotion for a complimentary order of dumplings with the purchase of an entrée, and they paired perfectly with our Orange Shrimp. As rewards members, we also received an order of edamame, which was fresh and delicious. Everything was well prepared, the flavors were excellent, and the service was friendly and attentive, just as we've come to expect. Celebrating my friend's birthday on a Saturday night I guess she decided this was where she wanted her birthday dinner. We were just driving for her to show me the river shopping center so when we came in here for dinner, it was a bit of a surprise to me, but I had said I'm a fan of P.F. Chang's. I don't get to go very often because my husband is not. We were sat in a nice booth and the inside of the restaurant is very lovely Our waiter was an older gentleman who is very nice and helpful. We both got an adult beverage and she found two items that were reasonably priced so I said let's just get both and share and they were delicious. The waiter knew it was her birthday, but the dessert came with no candle in it and whoever the person was carrying it I said wow no Candle or anything and he went back and got our waiter and a candle and the bubble machine, and did the whole thing We'd watch them do at other tables. Probably THE WORST PF Chang's experience ever. We got takeout order to go. The ONLY decent item was Chicken Lettuce Wraps! Crisp Honey Shrimp was the worst. Absolutely gloppy mass - every shrimp was stuck in a ball. Zero flavor and texture. Just slightly less worse was Singapore Street noodles. Very acidic (must be from more than just the tomatoes!), not balanced, and the Indian curry flavor was also off putting. And just one shade less traumatic was Pepper steak. To my surprise, this P.f. Changs was pretty good. It's been years since I've gone and was a little surprised. Some of the changes were good some not so. We were disappointed that they discontinued the shrimp with melons and walnuts. We sat at the bar and the service was just ok, it took a while to get the chicken lettuce cups and I guess they got rid of iceberg lettuce and substituted with baby romaine the most you could get is a spoonful, and they used to have I think 3 sources that they actually mixed for you not no more! We still had some time to order our food, we arrived at 10pm and they close the kitchen at 11pm. The server Maria was really nice about sharing that info. The flavor of the meat was good and the lettuce to put the filling in were very fresh and crisp. The garlic noodles were great with garlic flavor and noodles cooked just right. The Dynamite Shrimp were pretty small, but tasted nice with a crispy batter. I ordered the Manderin Salad with chicken. It was nothing exciting. I felt it was watery as if it wasn't drained or spinned long enough. I wasn't thrilled w/the cut of the chicken. It was thinly cut medallion style. The presentation of salad wasn't appetizing. The Black Pepper Chicken was decent. Made good for leftovers. I ordered an Espresso Martini. It was pretty strong. Whenever I have ordered this at other restaurants it's usually on the sweet side. I ordered a shot of bailey's to pour into the drink so that I could finish it. The staff were really friendly so I definitely give them kudos for that. I like P.F. Chang's and have gone to other locations. Coming closer to closing time could have something to do with some of the dishes being off. It's not something that will keep me from returning. It had been at least 10 years since I'd last eaten at PF Chang's, but I celebrated a family member's birthday during a thrifting trip in Palm Desert. The restaurant is clean with great service, the food was pretty good, and my stepmom loved the singing of happy birthday. They have a lunch special for $14 that includes your selection an appetizer, drink, and lunch portion size of an entree. Good amount of food for the price. read more

I wish I could've remembered to ask what our servers name was and wrote it down because such awesome service as well. It's hard to elaborate on what is a pretty standard experience if you have ever been to a PF Chang's restaurant. They are friendly, the food is well above what you would expect at a chain restaurant and the atmosphere is nice. If you have not taken advantage of the bar and food served at the bar during happy hour, I would highly recommend you do that! read more

PF Chang's really let us down, a complete disappointment during the busy holiday season. I called ahead and confirmed a reservation for our large party with the manager. During our annual get together with friends, we were genuinely looking forward to a great night. But when we arrived, we were told they couldn't honor the reservation because of our party size. The spicy chicken wasn't spicy, but it had flavor. Over all it was decent and all the locations are similar but I've had better other times at other locations. Service was a little better than decent. Solid food and you know what you get when you come here, it somewhat consistent. The happy hour is great but very limited. Some of the worst service from the manager & the entire hostess team. We came with a group of 18 with reservations that they screwed up and cancelled with the wrong #. Hostess immediately deflected and acted like it's not their fault and our screw up. You cancel a big parties reservation without speaking to anyone or confirming. We came with 5 cars circling around for parking just to get screwed over. Corporate needs to take care of this and reach out to these people with their horrible service and this establishment should second guess the team they have. All 3 should be fired. read more

I totally get that PF Chang's isn't the height of culinary excellence. However, I've often enjoyed their dynamite shrimp. Now that (CPK) no longer is serving it at the location nearest me, it was back to PF Chang's for my fried shrimp cravings! This time it was a bummer. First, they have cut the portion down a lot. The breading was super thick like a cheap fast food place. Upon eating my shrimp it was plain to see that the shrimp inside the breading were SUPER small! It was basically just thick tasteless breading and not the usually crispy light coating I'm used to, Around $17 for a small portion of over breaded shrimp. It wasn't that enjoyable at all. Egg drop soup was tasteless, had to put salt and pepper to even have a taste, firecracker shrimp ok but the bed of white rice was hard and overcooked, we ordered teriyaki chicken for the kids but came out looking and tasting like an overcooked orange chicken, waitress said it was there teriyaki style chicken not good. Restrooms where not clean have not been updated since its opening. Waitress brought us table settings for 3 not 5 so I had to grab off other tables. PF Changs continues to top any Chinese Restaurant in the area, with the exception of Joy in the Fantasy Springs Casino. Obviously Asian cuisine is not a strength of the Coachella Valley, but the entrees are all consistently the same and well prepared. Brought a group of 5 to dine in observance of Asian Lunar New Year. None of us are Asians, but thought it a fun idea to celebrate the day. The restaurant occupancy was about half full, 5 PMish, so it wasn't too busy. Our server was pleasant, although because she had a large number of tables to tend to, it was about 15 minutes before we were approached for drinks order. We ordered drinks and a number of appies to share, chicken wraps, dumplings, and shrimp. When it came time to order entree, we were told that they had NO egg drop soup (two of my party wanted it as a first course), and NO Hot and Sour Soup (I wanted it). Really? Asian Fusion on Chinese New Year out of Chinese soup, not one soup, but two! Wow, bad, that. All entree's arrived, except mine. The food server brought the meals to the others, presented them and left. As he was passing again a few minutes later I called to him indicating that I did not have my entree. "Let me check on that" said he. He mever returned (about 6 minutes). There were no staff visible that I might get their attention to find my food. Meanwhile, my guests were half through their entree when our waitress came by, unaware of that I did not have my meal. Another 5 minutes passed, my guests were nearly finished eating their meals, when mine arrived. Poor service, poo r communication between staff (unaware that my meal hadn't come). Food was OK, not great. Dined at PF Chang at other locations in California and Nevada, the food quality was not as good as in other locations. All in all, I regret that we dined here. read more

I go to many PF Chang's across the country, this was by far my worst experience at one. Despite appearing to only having a third of the wait staff the hostess kept seating tables, but it was at-capacity because they weren't turning tables. My server was very pleasant but because he was completely overworked he got to me very infrequently. My main after ordered was given to a takeout order, which my overworked waiter couldn't/didn't catch until after nearly an hour of waiting for it. It took me two hours to have soup, an appetizer and two drinks along with the delayed main. I had to have egg drop because my FAVORITE hot and sour soup was ... unavailable?! How does that happen? To top it off the main was pretty bland. I only ate a third of it and gave up. Normally I take food home with me but not this time. The whole Palm Springs service industry seems to be severely depleted, including other restaurants and the hotel I stayed in. Pretty sad. read more

The whole ambience, from the outside, entry way, and the entire dining area is elegant. I love the high ceilings and theming. It does feel a little crowded because the tables and chairs are close together and just slightly cramped, but also, as large as the dining area is (with booth tables as well), it also gets crowded. You need to make reservations, so make sure you plan ahead. We were able to try many dishes since they are served family style. The food, overall to me, is good. The noodle dishes, the fried rice, and the various mains of protein, veggies etc...all edible, all good. Be aware that some dishes are spicy and have a kick. Does anything stand-out as a must-try or something I'll crave later? No, not for me. Again, I think the draw for a restaurant like this is that it's bougie (but in an approachable, attainable way) and if that's the vibe you're seeking, this place does that. We brought our own wine (well, someone in our group did) and they provided us with wine glasses. Which leads me to the service....polite, kind, and helpful. Sometimes we did have to flag them down, but like, that's not a problem...how are they suppose to know we need something at the time that we need it? We had like, maybe 3 servers, assist with our table, and they were very busy because the whole place is bustling with activity. My companion ordered Orange Chicken and Lobster Won Tons. Everything was tasty. The service was attentive and helpful. Our server Geo made sure everything we ordered was to our liking.
