We went here expecting a full restaurant but I should have thought about the name. There are places to sit but it is basically a really good sushi "to go" place. We ordered edamame which was perfectly salted, and a very fresh and tasty seaweed salad for starters. Our main dishes were the #1 nigiri combo and a citrus fresh roll. With both meals the fish was fresh with large cut portions. It was all served in to go boxes even when you dine in. They also have a grab and go area where you don't have to wait for it to be made. Inside are a couple of 2 top tables and a counter if you do want to eat in. The lady who took our order was super sweet. Sushi on the run will be our go to for quick take home sushi in the future.

This was a highly rated Sushi spot based on Yelp. We were nearby so gave it a try after a long hike. Very spartan interior, a few tables if you want to eat in. We got some rolls and sides of seaweed salad, and kimchi. It was all very tasty. The staff was friendly.

Wow. Such amazing food in the middle of the desert. Service was excellent. It's mainly take out but they had a few chairs inside. Fish is amazingly fresh and great portions. Will certainly go here again!

Wow is all I can say! The sushi is so fresh and incredible! The service was lighting speed and the owner Kim was so kind and talkative. They have a fantastic idea of making quality sushi for people like me that are literally on the run always! Can't wait to go back! Oh did I mention the prices are very reasonable too.

I was on lunch & only had 30 minutes so I found this little place, clean, others waiting & nice lady took my order. I ordered a two item bento box and a Philadelphia house roll. They were very yummy. My only complaining would be that they need another person helping because there was only one gentleman in the back doing all the cooking.

Couldn't wait to go home before we started to eat!

They are finally open again! We learned they recently suffered a great loss in the family but the family is stronger and united. The food is just as good as before and we will continue to support them. The woman up front (the wife of the departed chef) is still there offering her smiles and great service. Happy to report the son is just as good as his father in his sushi craft!

Stopped in here on a whim to grab a quick bento box. I was not disappointed in the least bit. It rocked!! I chose the chicken teriyaki and spicy tuna roll as my options. It comes with rice and a salad too. Not sure of how much food it came with I also got an order of California roll. It was plenty plenty plenty of food! I'm definitely adding this to my list of approved places to get food next time I'm in town visiting.

Great place to pick up fresh sushi on the go. Recommend calling in your order so you don't have to wait or grab something from their ready to go fridge.

couldn't recommend this place more the inside is so quaint and the service was amazing both the owner and chef were quick to take our order and have our food out! It was also so delicious I can't wait to come back :)

This establishment makes me feel like I am in Town again. The service was friendly, and the decor and music are very welcoming. I assume the pop was in the kitchen doing the cooking. She notified us that the chicken soup was going to take a while. It actually did take that long. The soup came out delicious. It was my first time having the chicken ginseng soup with rice inside the chicken. The broth was very flavorful. The chicken was easy to break apart and not dry. The rice inside was well cooked. The kimchi was pretty good. I liked how crunchy it was. Other friends got the beef rib soup and kimchi fried rice. The beef rib soup was also really flavorful. Ordered the stir fried squid which was really delicious. Great flavor, we loveeee squid. The tofu soup was really good too. Love that they give an egg to crack on top - that set it apart and took it up a level. The kimchi pancake was decent too, but not as crispy as I usually like it. Side dishes hit the spot! Especially the fish cake. When we ran out, they quickly brought more. Highly recommend Maru. Amazing service and great atmosphere. The best kbbq in the desert!

YELP SHORT ANSWER: Maybe, Not sure we ordered correctly and found the overall experience expensive…read moreand too much food but most of the food was good we cooked on our own. LOCATION: Very nice retail location with lots of parking options. FACILITY: Excellent buildout, functional for the grill set up but not huge. MENU: Not totally easy to understand so we tried to ask questions but ended up a bit frustrated and just went for combo thinking we'd find what we liked. FOOD PREP: Raw plate was very professional and easy on the eyes. FOOD QUALITY: For the few things we liked it was good, not amazing but since we cooked ourselves maybe we screwed it up. Came to find out you can have their cooks grill for you and serve your table. As I lived in Asia I have visited many similar grills I am a rookie but never had these issues. WAITSTAFF: Not very helpful and maybe a bit on the rude side. We asked questions and got answers that made no sense. I wish I could have asked the robot. I did have to use my phone to understand what some of the offering were. OVERALL VALUE: Not good, very expensive and a disappointing experience for our visit. TIP: Maybe study the menu online before arriving, there is a lot of food. Our leftovers we had to cook at our table before we left as they can't send you home with raw meat I get tht. While it said $107 F1 combo would serve 1-2 people, in my world it could have easily served 4.
