I had a hamburger deluxe with cheese. It was fresh and piping hot when it came to the table. The service was prompt and it definitely gives the American diner feel. I would definitely visit this place again. My only complaint is that I wish I had more pickles. But that's just my preference.

New Years Breakfast with someone I adore! BLD's has been serving Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner for as long as I can remember! Now they have alcohol too. Great service with a smile. Always making sure our coffee was full. Comfortable both style and table seating. I had the 12 ounce bone in steak with eggs. My darling had eggs and bacon. All cooked perfectly and nice size portions! Reasonably priced. Plenty of parking.

I recently tried BLDs country fried steak... this was a heart breakfast for sure haha it would be a great meal after drinking, I took one bite and my face dropped in shock of how much I loved it... I realized something after the fourth bite, this is way too tender to be steak. It's more of a ground beef texture. Which I guess is pretty common, "beefsteak" is often a ground beef texture from mechanical tenderizing or actually just ground beef that frozen and fried. Either way, it's delicious but I did sort of want that bite you get from a steak. Then again, I devoured this delicious beast way too fast. I'm getting it again, next time with pancakes Since I've gone back, I've realized they really are hit or miss; a miss in particular the other night was an order of fried chicken. It was ordered to come with French onion soup, (this was bland and awful) roasted red potato, (this was regular potato home fries style but mushy and bland) and the chicken itself was overdone and not overly terrible, but not good or great either. The biscuits n gravy did not satisfy as it too tasted like nothing.

The atmosphere here is perfect it's so homey you feel like you're with family!! It's my first time here and was not what I expected but absolutely LOVED it! Our waitress was hands down the best she was nice, happy, super friendly and on top of things!! I got the Mikes wrap which was so good if you like spicy food my husband got the ultimate turkey club and boy oh boy was that amazing (if you've ever been to the milleridge inn years ago it was like that!!) I started with French onion soup super delicious! Our daughter got the kids Mac n cheese with nugget and she rated it herself as an A+! We will certainly be coming back and I want to bring my family!

Though I prefer to support small local businesses, this is inexcusable. You don't have to be a Chef to understand that this is NOT how you do a French Onion Soup to go. You do NOT place the cup under the broiler. There were actually pieces of charred cup in the soup. Not to mention the cheese itself was beyond browned. Also, the Med Rare Burger was well done. Clearly, you need a new kitchen staff.

If you like hair in the food be sure to order from here if not let them know to hold the hair from your food I would. Check for hair in your food before you eat it Never will I order from here again ..........

BLD's is the diner you've been looking for. Warm, family-owned vibes, plenty of parking and tables, and a huge menu to drool over. Perfect for a chilly winter brunch - or probably any meal! The service is friendly and fast and the food is absolutely delish. My favorite thing about the menu is that if you order eggs, you can get them with toast & hashbrowns OR a small stack of pancakes - and the pancakes are to die for!! I'm hooked on BLD's and I can't wait to go back and try their lunch and dinner food.

Came here with a friend and we have become regulars! He always gets the gluten free pancakes and says they are the best he's had. The tuna melt is mind blowing and so buttery. The chicken fried steak is so good and reminds me of growing up in the South. I got the chocolate cake last time and it was a little dry but generous portion and a big scoop of ice cream on the side! Service can be slow but prices are good as well

Nice and homey type of spot to grab breakfast at any time of the day. Pleasant service, nice portions with good value, clean and decorated with an Americana feel. They really celebrate all those who serve in uniform here - military, police, firemen, and more. Plus, if you're of an older generation or just enjoy 50's type of music that's what the play over the speakers here. Our meals came out quick, hot, and tasty. No complaints.

So many great memories here with the kids growing up. For me it has a little bit of a Friendly's feel. Now that they are adults we still find ourselves coming back. It's a real family friendly warm atmosphere. The decor is simple and youthful and the food is always made to perfection. The staff is old school and they get right down to business. Delicious and filling western omelet with whole wheat toast. Hubby enjoyed an order of crepes with fruits. Side of corned beef hash was very good. Came around with refills of coffee frequently. Diner-like ambiance inside and friendly service. read more

I visited this place after dropping my son off at his preschool. The first day of school was only an hour long so I thought this little place right next door would be perfect to go in; After going inside and seeing only one other couple sat down I thought it would be perfect. Well it came down to the wire. It took 20 minutes for my order to get taken, I guess when she came by 60 seconds after the menu was presented to us I should have just been ready. Nevertheless, still got 35 minutes to make breakfast, eat and pay. Food came out in like 15 minutes which was perfect. Ate, then ask for the check... After taking an order, taking another order, dropping off drinks, dropping off more drinks, then we got the check. I ran to the front tried paying with a hundred but said he had to go to the back for change. I said no its okay paid with my credit card instead. (i always like leaving cash tips) I gave this place 4 stars based purely on the food, it was good. It feels unfair to give a bad rating since I was in a rush but it still felt like everything was in slow motion there. The Cinnamon Roll French toast was great, had an authentic Cinnabon flavor with their icing. And the eggs were good, the only subpar thing was the hash browns, they were under-seasoned, I would definitely try them loaded with onions & peppers next time. read more

First and most important, very patriotic restaurant. American flags honoring all active military and retired members that served our Country. Gorgeous BLUE LIVES MATTER Flag! Numerous dedications to POLICE OFFICERS, FIREFIGHTERS, EMT, and PUBLIC SERVICE. Totally respect for this restaurant!! Staff was very pleasant, they have a large following and are very close and connected with their customers. We saw that while having lunch. Enjoyed our soup, salad and lunch. Portions are a little smaller then most restaurants/dinners but I give them a free pass because of what they stand for! Ask for well done french fries. Perfect! God Bless America! read more

After a karate pick up got there at 4 today with my grandson..success they serve breakfast all day!! Our server Brianna was excellent. The place was charming with its Americana decor. I've passed it many times & decided to give it a try. My grandson said he & his parents were there a few times & they liked it. I had the most delicious Patty Melt with a side of fries that were crisp hot & seasoned perfectly. I especially enjoyed it because I was juicy with onions & melted cheese that oozed from the side. This place never disappoints. My mom always took the kids there. The kids love it because it is kid friendly and grandma believes dessert before dinner, lol. The shakes are epic. They have a 50's theme kinda. Lots of long time customers frequent the restaurant. The service is professional and prompt. The food is always on point. There was plenty of parking, and I never had to wait. Well decorated and clean. I now bring my daughter, and we always talk about and remember grandma. We love BLDs. It's our local go-to that is consistent. Service is friendly, efficient and quick! We love it there. The food is consistent and plentiful with good menu choices. Cute old school diner, interior is a throw back, I love it. Waitress was very nice and the food was delicious. There was also alot of unique food options, which I loved the variety. I got the potato pancakes and my son got the Pigs in a blanket (sausage links wrapped in pancakes). I don't even like pancakes but I liked my sons pancakes so that's definitely saying something :) read more

BLD's has to be the best spot for breakfast in Ronkonkoma. They have a dedicated staff who deliver consistent high quality breakfast foods and delicious coffee. I had the Two Grade-A Eggs breakfast with bacon and pancakes. All three were unbelievable, warm, and tasty 'pon its arrival to the table and into my belly. My dad just said, "Freakin' breakfast was awesome, wasn't it?" ...and it's almost 7pm! He's still thinking about it from this morning. Updated review: Came back for another Saturday morning breakfast with the family. The place was on point, service was prompt and very friendly. I recommend ordering the BLD passport, which are two crepe-style pancakes, served with two eggs, two strips of bacon and two sausage that you can have german, french, or swedish style. Delicious! The kids really enjoyed their pancakes as well. Great atmosphere, seasonally decorated for the fall right now, and overall good vibes. BIG Two thumbs up for the Blue Line Flag on display, and appreciation for the USA, both of which I really love to see. I'm adding some additional photos. Give BLD a go. But granted you could probably argue that for a lot of American bistro style restaurants that try to have that hometown local feel to it with all the stuff hanging on the walls. Staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, our server especially, Alexa, really felt like she was going out her way to check in on us and how everything was which did feel nice. For food we started with the spinach artichoke dip, a classic and this one was just as good as I've had anywhere, but most importantly they give you plenty of chips! For entrees, I went with the Philly cheesesteak and my girlfriend went with the brisket French dip with mozzarella cheese. Both were delicious but I think my girlfriend beat me this time with her choice! The choice of brisket over a typical roast beef is an interesting one for a French dip, but I do love a good brisket and this one was certainly tasty. The Philly wasn't you're traditional cheesesteak either, but it scratched my itch (but do be warned that thing comes out HOT!). Both came with a deceivingly large basket of fries that were fresh and crispy and a nice salty to compliment to our sandwiches. I really enjoyed trying this one and they had a bunch of interesting specials that I contemplated trying too, which makes me eager to come back again and see what other new tasty options they might have in store!

Pancakes, Eggs, chicken wings & a few wraps are our go to faves! This is that great neighborhood restaurant! You'll see many locals eating there once a week!
