THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! First off a special shoutout goes out to their event manager Savannah. She was the absolute best with everything; coordinating my event, texting, emails, calls and meetings to go over the menu and all the details, and demonstrating the space/rooms we rented. This WHOLE experience was top notch! I held my daughter's first birthday/baptism dinner here last month with about 30 of closest friends and family. It couldn't have been more perfect. First off, my event was from 4-7PM but thankfully they allowed the decorators to come way before hand to setup, I was also able to stop by the morning of to check on everything. They had custom menus on all the tables. Everything came out exactly how I had envisioned it! The food was amazing ... as always; I have been coming here for yearsssss. And the service was great. They were super attentive and always available when I needed them. I could not have asked for a better place to have such a milestone event for us. Again thank you Savannah and to the whole team at Blend for making this day unforgettable!

Nice ambiance. This was my second time at this location. The first time I was disappointed with the service, but this time I had excellent service and care from hostess, waitress, and other employees. Food was pretty good, but the entrees could have been better as far as flavor. The rice was also disappointing for a Spanish place. The lomo Saltado taquitos appetizer was flavorful but the homemade tortilla was too small for the amount of filling and it fell apart. The jack punch cocktail was pretty good. I recommend the empanada sampler. The pernil was good and moist, but I have had better. I will probably give another chance if I am in the area.

Place is cute but nothing special. I ordered a salad that was supposed to come with mango and tortilla strips but when I was served it, it didn't come with any. They still charged me full price. Also $15 extra dollars for salmon? Seems a bit pricy.

The hostess and waitress were super friendly and sat us outside where we could enjoy the music and hear each other talking. She recommended we would go enjoy her favorite appetizers and they were on point - chefs kiss! I had to the crispy chicken and it's officially my favorite on the Blend location's menu. I've been to 4 of their locations and honestly they need to have this location train the staff and chef. The manager even came over to ask if everything was okay. Omg what? I was stunned, but appreciated him asking. The drinks were better than any of their other spots - I'm seriously considering only coming here and none of their other spots. Please go and see for yourself! I wouldn't lie to you. Yelper pinky swear. Enjoy!

I've been to this Blend location multiple times and it is a solid spot for food and drinks. This time around I had their spicy margarita for my drink and it was perfect. For appetizers I had the arepa cup - that came with braised short rib and guacamole and cotija cheese and wow so so good- the meat was incredible . Next up was the mushroom flatbread and yummm so delicious. For entree I did the lomo saltado and this was okay, I've had better elsewhere, but I did try my husbands churrasco that came with skirt steak and that was oh so good - wish I'd gotten that. Overall this is a good spot for date night or special occasion or out with friends. It is a small space so I'd say no more than 4 people would be a good time.

I came here for Mother's Day with my family. Our reservation was for 4:45pm. The host brought us to an outside table. The table was for 4 people but our party was 6. There was no way we were going to all fit. We asked her for another table that would accommodate all of us comfortably. The host brought us to another outdoor area in the back of the restaurant. This area looked like the forgotten about area. It wasn't very put together and no music was playing. We waited at least 10 minutes before anyone noticed that no one came over and greeted us. A few minutes more, the server finally came over to our table. We immediately ordered all our drinks, appetizers, and entrees. The drinks took awhile to come to the table. I know you're thinking its Mother's Day so it's busy but it wasn't. There were plenty of tables available. For our drinks, we ordered frozen Sangria's and a mango juice. The waters they brought to the table looked iffy so we ordered sparkling water as well. The appetizers came out and I absolutely fell in love with the arepa appetizer. However, I bit into it and I pulled out plastic. I sent my food back and they made me another one. Originally, I asked for no creme or Pico so when they brought it back it had everything on it so they had to make it again. Our entrees came out and all the food looked good. My skirt steak needed more seasoning. We ordered 3 sides of fries for the table and those came out last. They were really good though. Everyone enjoyed their food. My dad had I ordered the molten cake for dessert. It was very small but delicious. The menu was $70 per person and you got an appetizer and entree. Mother's got a free Sangria or champagne. I think it was very overpriced for what we got. Service also wasn't the best. This is my second time at Blend and the first time was much better. I wouldn't come back and eat here for a holiday. It wasn't worth it.

We just happened to walk by and come in to have lunch. We were seated immediately since it was early on a Tuesday. My boyfriend and I have been to the other location- blend on the water and loved it. This place is just as good! The food was DELICIOUS!! This place is smaller than blend on the water but it is so pretty inside! We rate this place a 10/10 and will be coming back when we come up to Astoria (which is fairly often)

If you find yourself in Astoria, Queens, Blend is a restaurant you definitely want to try. I actually drove all the way from Staten Island just to check it out, and it was worth it. The ambiance felt like a perfect summer day--warm and vibrant. The staff was attentive, and the food was absolutely delicious.

This has to be THE WORST experience i have ever had at any restaurant i have been to!! Saturday 02/08/2020 i came here for a friends birthday dinner. The reservation was for 20 people at 8:30 pm. By 8:45 18 of the 20 people were there and we told the hostess to just move forward with the people who were there. We were told that the table wasn't ready yet and was still being set up. People began buying drinks at the bar to try to kill time. 1 hour later we are trying to find out what is going on with our table and we are told that a party was still occupying the space. The manager then comes out and tells us that as of 8:45 our reservation was cancelled because our whole party wasn't there. There isn't much of a waiting area in this establishment so we are clearly in the way of servers and right in front of the hostess, how is it that you cancel a reservation of people that are standing in front of you and NO ONE SAYS A WORD!!! Not only that but the whole time that we were waiting there was another party in the area we had reserved. Whether the last 2 people showed up or not THE RESTAURANT WAS NOT READY! The manager was very rude and refused to accommodate our party so we decided to leave and go to another restaurant. Once the hostess found out what happened she offered to comp a few things on the bill and promised to take great care of us but at that point it was about the principle. The manager of this establishment was terrible! If a group of 15+ people show up you seat them! Not only did you lose $1,000+ from your restaurant that night but you also are the reason why your servers and staff lost out on potential tips. I will never return or recommend any one to visit this place EVER!! read more

My friend and I walked in on a busy Sunday and were able to get a table for two right away. The staff was friendly, but was not very attentive. We were seated shortly after we got in, but then took about 15-20 minutes, AND a reminder to the hostess that we were sitting there, just to get a server over to our table to bring us water. My friend's coffee came out cold and our food was lukewarm; not a good impression for first-time customers. The space itself is nice, open, and clean. The food was tasty, but it wasn't anything special. I will most likely not be going back to this place for the food; maybe just to grab a quick drink. read more

I came to eat with my fiancé on a Sunday night. There wasn't a wait they sat us right away. I ordered the salmon and OMG it was delicious! My fiancé had the churrasco (med well) and it was just right! Nice and juicy w/ the chimichurri sauce already on top. To end the night we ordered the caramel cheesecake w/ the manger. He was so nice he also gave us a complimentary chocolate mouse cake! This was my first time eating here and we were very satisfied! I'll be coming back to try something else very soon. read more

I ordered here for the first time as part of grubhub's supper to support program. Many people waiting to pick up had no masks and were alowed to stand right by the door. I counted 5 staffers inside the restaurant and only ONE was wearing a mask. At 15 mins past my estimated time, i canceled the order. Go at your own risk. read more

Went there last night and loved my food, the drinks never disappoint. I highly recommend the sangria (mixture of a sangria and frozen margarita ) trust me you won't regret it! The service was superb! We had James take care of our table, he was awesome, super attentive and worked with us considering we had babies and a stroller and not that much space. He made the night go smoothly! Learned from a co-worker who lives not too far from this establishment that they deliver. I LOVE the Vernon Ave. location (the Sangritas are LIFE), so I decided to check to see if the Astoria location delivers to work, too. Found them on DoorDash, and I was hyped to see after inputting our gig's address, that they did, indeed, deliver here. Put in an order to be delivered at a later time today, only to get a text from DoorDash with this bulldookie @ 11:11 AM: "...unfortunately, your order from Blend has been canceled. We attempted to send the order to the restaurant but they're not currently taking orders. Your order will be fully refunded back to the original payment method." The establishment opens at 11 AM, so why would they not be taking orders at 11:11 AM? I called the restaurant to let them know about the issue to possibly order over the phone, only for the line to go straight to voicemail. Waited a half-hour, called back, reached some woman (who didn't give her name), explained the issue to her, and then she put me on with some guy, presumably the manager (he didn't give his name), to whom I parroted the same information that I gave the woman. He then claimed that he didn't put that location on DoorDash; I told him that I am looking right at his establishment on DoorDash. We ended that line of discussion, and he offered to take my order over the phone. Cool beans, right? Wrong. Gave my phone number, and then gave the address, only to be told that they don't deliver to my location - despite the fact that DoorDash claims they do. Disgusted, I said thank you and ended the call. Yeah; I'm gonna stick with the Vernon Ave. location. Customer service is MUCH better there. read more

Bad service, don't recommend at all! STAY AWAY!!! Came here to celebrate my bday (around 8pm). After ordering we waited 45m for our food to come which seemed ok. Then I went to the restroom (a waitress was in there before me), which later came to our table and claimed I stole $1000. She stated I was the "last one" to use the restroom after discovering the suspicious money disappearing. BUT apparently there was another lady after me, which the waitress confirmed later on. We waited for an hour and a half for them to solve the mystery. Within that 1.5hr, we asked for manager (3x), which never came!!! We told them to check us, to verify we didn't steal their money, and even said we had no cash on us. Paid for check and left disappointed. We were accused for no reason and that ruined our mood and impression of this place. Who goes to the restroom with the check and leaves it there???? Suspicious and unprofessional! Going to contact BBB to take care of this problem! I considered it my fav place... but now... NEVER AGAIN!!! read more

Came here with two other friends and we all LOVED it here! The ambience is very calming and nice and the service was great. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly and the food was pretty good too! I got the pollo a la brasa and it was definitely filling. Also the happy hour is AWESOME! I got a red sangria and pina colada and both drinks were delicious. Also what really ended the night well was when the waitress came by with free shots at the end of our meal and said it was a complimentary cranberry vodka shot. It was soo good and just a great way to end the night. This is a perfext place to drink, be merry and catch up with friends or go on a date :) I will definitely return here! read more

First time that I tried to come to this place was 5 minutes late for my reservation, they told me that by the time I get a table, kitchen will be close, didn't let me in at 10:30 pm (kitchen closes @11pm) . Came in again, on time (9:30 pm) .. no table .. hostess very bad actitud ...finally my friends and I was able to get a table, service was horrible . No water until 10 minutes after we sat down, table dirty, we had to call to one of the waiters to clean the table . Took them like 20/30 min to bring a drink to the table .. when I got my food, I order an extra order of rice .. I was already done with my food by the time I got my side order of rice. Never again coming to this place. Food was okay. Service .. really bad experience. read more

I really love this place for the drinks, atmosphere, and the food is good. The Bartenders are awesome as well. However for some odd reason they never have the main games playing on the tv. No matter how many customers ask the manager (with bald head)to change the channel, he never does. His last reasoning was because he isn't into sports. HOW CAN YOU NOT HAVE THE PLAYOFFS ON AT THE BAR?! read more

My experience was so average. The signature drink (margarita and sangria mixed) was overly sweet. My shrimp was a little undercooked, and I ordered yellow rice but got white. Definitely don't feel the need to go back. Our queso balls for the appetizer were good. read more

I came to dine here for a friends birthday . We were a party of 7, however 3 of us arrived on time but the other 4 were running late due to the lack of parking in the area. The host would not seat us till our complete party was there. My friends and I decided to have a few drinks at the bar while we wait, however bar seats are extremely limited. So two of us had to stand. We ordered the spicy margarita and a frozen sangria. I must say the drinks were a bit weak. We finally were seated about 20 min's later. The waitress was nice and took our order pretty quickly. We ordered the arepas & guacamole/chips for appetizers which were actually pretty good. For my main entree, I ordered the Cajun Mariscos which I found to be very oily, but still tasty. We also ordered the dessert platter which consists of 3 different types of desserts for the birthday girl. They sang happy birthday and used one of those sparkling candles, which the birthday girl loved! I will probably be back just for the awesome dessert! read more

I had 3 of Their appetizers,the arepa one was amazing! The poke taco was good, the tuna tasted fresh. Their goat salad was refreshing was well. For the main course I ordered the pork chop, which didn't really have much flavor. That's why it is a 3 Star review. One pork chop was ok and the other one was really dry. I will definitely go back for the appetizers and maybe I'll have better luck with a steak dish. I would not recommend the pork chop. read more

Both portions were surprisingly small considering the price. That's where I really felt the value wasn't there. Unfortunately, the service didn't help either. It wasn't rude, but it felt inattentive and lacked the warmth and hospitality I usually associate with Thai restaurants. I always want to support fellow Thai-owned businesses, so writing this review honestly makes me sad. I'm not trying to discourage anyone from trying the restaurant--this is simply my family's experience. Everyone has different tastes, and yours may be completely different from ours. For us, though, the combination of light flavors, small portions, and lackluster service left us disappointed, especially for a birthday dinner.

The staff was friendly, and our server in particular was clearly passionate about Venezuelan cuisine and was excited for us try to their dishes. My friend ordered their pulled pork arepa, and I ordered one of their rice plates. The arepa was filled to the brim. It was full of beans, meat, and topped with cheese. My plate was absolutely delicious and its aroma filled the restaurant. The meat was tender, well seasoned, and saucy. The plantains were pan fried to perfection, tender and sweet. The beans were flavorful. I could have just that with rice all day. Writing this review is making my mouth water. Maybe I should return there soon!

Our recent visit on 5/11 to Blend left us with mixed feelings. Arriving at 3:10 without a reservation, we were informed by the host that they were only seating guests with bookings today, despite several empty tables visible. Even outside seating was off-limits, half of it was clearly empty. We politely requested her couple of times, but she said she couldn't help. Frustrated, we left for another restaurant, but upon checking Blend's website, we managed to secure a reservation for 3:15. Returning, we questioned why online booking wasn't suggested earlier, to which the host had no answer. During ordering, we were disappointed to learn that some of the dishes were only available for dinner. Despite expressing our fondness for a dish, the host claimed it wasn't available. But later the server informed us it was available and we could have ordered with her. When our server informed the host about the confusion regarding the dish availability, she once again claimed ignorance. Throughout the ordeal, there was a distinct lack of apology for any of the mistakes made. Her repeated dismissal of customers and awareness of item availability undoubtedly impacts the restaurant's reputation and bottom line. The lack of knowledge and courtesy from the staff, especially the host, was disheartening. While our loyalty as regular customers remained, we left feeling undervalued. Hopefully, the management addresses these issues with proper training for the staff. Despite our disappointment, we still tipped generously, a testament to our longstanding patronage. read more

I'm more of a "word of mouth" type of guy. Never really big on writing reviews but for these girls and the phenomenal hospitality this past Saturday night I had to make a Yelp account. I made sure to get everyone's names before leaving! (sorry for the spelling in advance) I thought I had made a reservation at their Vernon location. (my favorite only because I'm a regular) Upon realizing that it was for the Astoria one which I had never been to before, I called them right away to make sure they could accommodate and the hostess Genesis let us know we were good to go. I had a horrible experience at blend on the water, made a reservation had to wait over an hour to be seated and then another hour for service. Waitresses, hosts and management all unprofessional and unhelpful being that it's a much fancier location. Arrived at Astoria and was seated right away. Our server was Marsela. She was very attentive and gave great suggestions based on their best sellers. Everything was spot on! A second hostess named Suheila came over and introduced herself to us. She wanted to make sure we would have a great night. For a second I thought about offering her my seat because my girlfriend was really hitting it off with her LOL. Great conversations! Every single person was extremely attentive, and the food/drinks were spot on. This location has easily become another favorite. Two stars to be a little fair, surely I could've given them one star. Took my wife on her birthday to this new place along SUNSET BLVD ..30th Ave.... Ex-MARKETTA. Thinking I would give my wife a nice birthday moment but obviously it wasnt near that. Service was awful, food is horrible LATIN FOOD you can find in any esquina served out of a truck. Staff badly trained, our waitress forgot our appetizers..so we waited for almost 40 minutes to get our main course even though we made it clear to the waitress that we were very hungry and wanted our appetizers first...badddd. I don't get it why jumping from speaking in English to espanhol people think that makes their mistakes less awful. It is still their fault whether in INGLES O ESPANOL. so trying to explain their fault was not so in espanol to my wife and I only made things worse. I recently had the pleasure of dining at Blend Astoria, and I can't stop raving about my experience! Horrible experience from the manager down to waitresses service was bad they only cater to there daily customers me and my friends was recommended to blend so we gave it a try we traveled from the Bronx to only get treat unfairly we got seated next to a loud small group who was a cop and a few Of his lady friends so we asked to get seated somewhere else and they refused so we didn't make a big deal as time is gOing by we ordered drinks and food waitress forget our drinks and by the time the food came it's was undercooked and cold the loud group then started getting louder and disrespectful to me and my friends they thought we were African Americans so they spoke Spanish without knowing that we are Spanish too so they told us that there was going to shoot us we got called many different types of names and while all this is happening manager stood next to us and did nothing because the group that was attacking us are daily customers it's unfair that we came such a long way to get this type of treatment NEVER WILL I EVER GO TO BLEND AGAIN N WOULDNT RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE I KNOW read more

I was at this restaurant yesterday evening with four friends. We waited for 45 minutes for a table meanwhile there was four empty tables. And sat us next to an obnoxious man and his lady friends. The service was horrible and it took the waiters over an hour to take our order. Then they took our drink order and never brought them to us, when we received the bill they charged us and refused to take it off. And to top it off they sat us next to a table with a undercover cop drinking and acting obnoxious. At one point the gentleman and his lady friends were threatening to shoot us. Meanwhile the restaurant manager was noticing everything that was occurring and just stood there minding his business. After two hours of arriving to this location our food finally arrived the chicken was not cooked and the remaining of our food was cold and we still had to pay even though we did not eat the food. This restaurant is one of the worst restaurants I've ever been to would not recommend. read more

Came here with the family for a birthday brunch. We had reservations (on opentable) and were seated right away. We sat upstairs which was nice but a little loud. Our waitress was lovely and the service was really good throughout. The brunch deal is a steal (two drinks and a main course.) Most of us took advantage of this deal getting mimosas, rose punch, and Modelos. For an app we got guacamole which was plenty to share with 4 or 5 people. I had the Cuban madame- pretty good. A little sloppy to eat, but tasted good. My girlfriend had the Latin blend salad with chicken, which is one of her favorite things ever. Highly recommend! My parents both got steak and eggs, which they seemed to enjoy. We got dessert, since it was my birthday and my parents anniversary. The chocolate lava cake was amazing, it came with vanilla ice cream and graham cracker crust! Overall, we had a great experience and will definitely be back for brunch and dinner ! read more

Ive been coming to Blend for years now and although their food is amazing their service is the absolute worst. Being busy is not an excuse for having bad service. We waited 20 minutes before our waitress even came over to greet us and asked did you guys just get seated. then on top of that we were seated at a broken table and waited over 30 minutes for a new table which we expected to be seated somewhere else but instead they came in and replaced the table with another broken table. could not even eat on the table without it moving around as if we were on a boat. the worst part was when we asked to be accommodated to sit somewhere else the manager just shrugged. at this point we were there for an hour with no solution and no sympathy just a shrug and a oh well. read more

Went for brunch with my boyfriend. Always heard of this spot and finally got to check it out and it was definitely worth the hype. Cool modern upscale vibe upon entry. Very attentive host and waitress. Quick service. Most recently my boyfriend and I split the Cubao buns (think Cuban Sammie n Asian pork bun hybrid.. deep fried w/ Perennial!! Fried pickles and jalapenos on the side were an amazing compliment). This was a new addition to the menu and they're amazing. Hopefully yours is less greasy than mine were. Still amazing doeeee. Arepa cups have always been my favorite app. Their flatbread is surprisingly bomb. Great vibe for brunch. The food was delicious. Drinks were on point. Completely satisfied the brunch craving properly. read more

We came here for a large party brunch and were extremely disappointed. While the place might work for smaller groups, it clearly can't handle larger ones. The food lost all quality, what should've been hot and fresh came out lukewarm and bland. The service was painfully slow. We waited ages for basic things like water refills and silverware, and trying to get a server's attention felt impossible. To make it worse, the mimosas were weak and barely came around. For a brunch spot that promotes bottomless drinks, this was a letdown across the board. Overall, it felt unorganized, overpriced, and completely underwhelming. Definitely wouldn't recommend for groups or honestly, anyone looking for a quality brunch experience. read more

Sunday night, I visited Blend for its funky Latin vibes. I started with the chicken skewers and a frozen drink. While the drink was a bit melted and liquidy, it had a zesty punch that I appreciated. The skewers were tender with a brilliant crust and an exquisite honey-lemon sauce--a must-try. Next, I had the Pollo a la Plancha with a side of avocado. The avocado proved to be necessary to balance the slightly tough chicken. The sauce was a delightful addition, complementing the rice and beans nicely. The plantains, though a bit bland, still provided a sweet ending to the meal. I visited for early dinner on a Saturday. I have been to both Blends in LIC so I am familiar with the food, service, etc. I happily sipped on a sangrita (frozen mix of sangria and wine). I ate skirt steak with blue potato mash which was cooked to my liking. I also ate arepa cups and guacamole as appetizers. No food or drink complaints here. The restaurant is fairly small with one restroom. Parking is horrendous but it is located in a prime location. Basically, if you are a fan of Blend in LIC then you will enjoy this restaurant as its the same environment and good food. I'm glad they kept their integrity. read more

This is my second time visiting blend and I must say this is my new go to spot!!! The food is delicious, their arepas are a must try. The first time I came here, it was on a Sunday night and our server Gaby was amazing. I came back last Sunday expecting to see Gaby since she told me that she's usually there every Sunday but she was not.. at first l was disappointed because she made my first experience great but Genisis was just as phenomenal!! She recommended great items on the menu and always checked up on us to make sure we were ok. l will definitely be coming back for a third time read more

Very disappointed with this restaurant. We are a party of 25 people Made a reservation and received a confirmation by email. The next day, we received an email that our reservation got cancelled. i called up the restaurant directly, and spoken with this rude, unprofessional lady named Naria who happened to be the one who answered the phone . she Is totally disrespectful and needs to be reprimanded. Totally arrogant and this kind of attitude will ruined your restaurant ! totally not recommending this place! read more

I came here randomly on a saturday night and i thought it would be packed and busy but it wasn't !!! i was so excited !!! i brought my almost 2 year old here and they had the high chair ready and she loved the calamari!!! i am beyond happy i enjoyed the view and vibes !! the drinks were also amazing !!! the service was beyond incredible!!! i would definitely come here again at any time !!! the waitress was great !!!! i cannot even express how happy i am tonight coming here !! giselle was amazing !!!! read more

The vibes here are always exceptional. Service is great and the food is fantastic every single time. They get very busy on the weekends so definitely be prepared to wait - it will be work it! I wanted to shoutout their lovely staff and especially Soheyla for taking such good care of my friends and I. First let me start off by saying patryck and jasmine were amazing. The food was great but the service was spectacular and made me feel like I was at home. I had the pollo a la plancha which was delicious along with the arepa cups. Apart from the food the drinks were awesome too, I had a Sangrita which is a mix between a margarita and a sangria which topped everything off. We have been to all Blend Restaurant's and let be their service and food. We were a bit disappointed on Monday. We ordered an appetizer and 2 dishes, with drinks. We had to wait for the appetizer and when it came, our main meal was brought to us within a minute. We were ok with that but Mary' rice on her dish was undercooked. The management apologized and told us they would discount the meal, which they did not do. We did not want to complain, and intend to go again regardless. read more

I came during the weekend with a group of friends to celebrate her birthday.. the food was amazing along with the drinks. The service was ok but the server was friendly so l guess it made up for it. The hostess was VERY RUDE and did not smile what's so ever!
