I needed to get my nails done before Friday for my civil wedding and thought it would be easy to find a place close to work. I decided to give Blend nails a chance. I walked in and everyone seemed so nice, but it ended up being my worst nightmare. I am usually picky about my French being straight, but never had to be the complainer until today. I hated having to tell them that everything they were doing was wrong. My pedicure was $55 and the lady barely filed my nails and left a whole bunch of excess gel white polish on my skin. Close up is horrible. When it comes to my hands, the lady acted like she was about to do them great and she knew better than me and little does she know I know how to apply gel X as well and this was not it. She filed my nails too roughly, she applied a whole bunch of gel glue and gel polish leaving bumpy nails, dark nail beds, and extra white polish on my skin and she kept wanting to trim my skin to remove the white excess. I remained quiet until it was time to pay and I finally blew up once they told me they don't take Amex and that is all I had. I told them the sign on the door says Amex and even when I first came in they said they take "everything even Venmo". So here I am asking for the manager because my hands were $75 and I was not going to pay that amount for this awful job. Another lady comes and tells me she can fix them for me and to pay the full $135 total. I was very clear when I said I don't trust you to make them better. She offered for me to go back and have them fixed after work, and I expressed how much of an inconvenience that was since they were supposed to be done right the first time. I told her I would pay the $55 pedicure (THAT WAS NOT EVEN WORTH THAT AMOUNT) but I paid it and thank God for Venmo because I had to use it since they didn't take my card. If you like to have 1:1 service with attention to detail THIS PLACE IS NOT IT. I am for sure not getting married with these horrible nails. It's awful because they were so nice at first but can't definitely trust this place and I'm sorry to be this client today. They are having me feel like I am a freaking Karen when I'm never it and for sure am in the right. I am sorry blend salon but I am for surely never coming back. Gel mani, pedi with arm and leg massage. The massages were amazing and as they were doing my nails, they were checking in with me about how they looked, color, etc. As someone who is vocal with feedback at the nail salon, I loved how thoughtful they were being because it was so communicative throughout. They offered to fill the hole with more glue, but extremely resistant on redoing them. When I realized they were going to keep denying the gap, I said I don't even want a refund can you please just take them off. I was a regular customer here. I walked in and someone new helped me this time. She was fast which I didn't mind...if she had completed the job. Every mani I have ever received here, they go back over with a q-tip or something to clean up outside the lines. This didn't happen today...she was in a hurry to help someone else it turns out. The only positive is I usually leave a tip when I pay before hand using Venmo, today I planned on tipping with cash. Terrible experience. I had an appointment yesterday in the evening to get my nails done for my birthday. The nail technician did a terrible job. She cut the nails much shorter than I asked for and she could not do the shape I wanted. I asked for coffin shaped nails and she said she could do it. clearly she couldn't. I had to ask her to fix the shape of my nails at least 4 times. If you're a skilled nail technician, you should know what you're doing. Blend salon is a good place to go for a quick manicure or pedicure. The prices are quite reasonable with a gel manicure costing $35 and a regular manicure costing $18. That being said, I have had much better and precise manicures and this manicure definitely felt rushed and the polish around my cuticles are not even across all my fingers. Overall though, the gel polish does last around 2-3 weeks without chipping and the inside of the nail salon is very well organized and clean. The workers are friendly and kind and do not pressure you to get any additional services which is refreshing. They also offer complementary hot tea or water. read more

I'm all for supporting small business' but what a disappointment. The staff was super sweet initially. The person who did my toes was super nice, but unfortunately her painting skills were not it. I came in for gelx, $80 for chrome. Which is standard for a nice place, but definitely not worth it here. I am so unhappy with the Nails. Mimi was my tech and unfortunately all the tools she used were dirty! It still had dead skin from the previous client. Just because they take it out of a bag does not mean it's clean! She es super rough in filing my nail beds. When she was putting the extensions on, she put my pointer and middle finger super crooked, I let her know I didn't like that it was crooked. From that moment it was over. She was obviously upset and just kept going and started to be pretty rough. She wouldn't let the gel cure all the way and kept pulling and pushing my hands. She kept pulling out my hand and only adding top coat to the same middle finger like 4 times. My nails are so bad and look grown out. Wahhh it's pains me to write this review. I called to ask to see if they can repair a nail since I chipped mine, and I didn't ask if they can do ombré (so maybe this is my fault) I went in and they repaired my nail but it does not look like my original manicure at alll I wish they would have told me it's not something they can match.
