I needed to get my nails done before Friday for my civil wedding and thought it would be easy to find a place close to work. I decided to give Blend nails a chance. I walked in and everyone seemed so nice, but it ended up being my worst nightmare. I am usually picky about my French being straight, but never had to be the complainer until today. I hated having to tell them that everything they were doing was wrong. My pedicure was $55 and the lady barely filed my nails and left a whole bunch of excess gel white polish on my skin. Close up is horrible. When it comes to my hands, the lady acted like she was about to do them great and she knew better than me and little does she know I know how to apply gel X as well and this was not it. She filed my nails too roughly, she applied a whole bunch of gel glue and gel polish leaving bumpy nails, dark nail beds, and extra white polish on my skin and she kept wanting to trim my skin to remove the white excess. I remained quiet until it was time to pay and I finally blew up once they told me they don't take Amex and that is all I had. I told them the sign on the door says Amex and even when I first came in they said they take "everything even Venmo". So here I am asking for the manager because my hands were $75 and I was not going to pay that amount for this awful job. Another lady comes and tells me she can fix them for me and to pay the full $135 total. I was very clear when I said I don't trust you to make them better. She offered for me to go back and have them fixed after work, and I expressed how much of an inconvenience that was since they were supposed to be done right the first time. I told her I would pay the $55 pedicure (THAT WAS NOT EVEN WORTH THAT AMOUNT) but I paid it and thank God for Venmo because I had to use it since they didn't take my card. If you like to have 1:1 service with attention to detail THIS PLACE IS NOT IT. I am for sure not getting married with these horrible nails. It's awful because they were so nice at first but can't definitely trust this place and I'm sorry to be this client today. They are having me feel like I am a freaking Karen when I'm never it and for sure am in the right. I am sorry blend salon but I am for surely never coming back. Pictures speak more than 1000 words, see them and tell me I'm crazy...

We walked in close to closing and they were still super friendly. Both nail techs were extremely nice, they explained everything and took their time on our nails. The atmosphere was very calm and the nails turned out gorgeous. 10/10!

Kevin and Mimi are absolutely wonderful. They graciously took me at 7:05pm since I work close by but didn't get off until 7:00- which is the time they close. Mimi worked quickly and still did an amazing job in 45mins. I am so grateful for their great service and willingness to accommodate my appointment time. I will absolutely be back for another appointment.

Dawn fixed my broken nails and did a fabulous job, Jen gave my daughter a manicure while Mimi pour a delicious cup of tea. Great job ladies!!! By far my favorite nail salon in town!

I was visiting San Francisco and thought I'd give Blend Salon a try as it was near the area I was staying in. I was a walk-in and they took me in immediately. I selected the basic manicure ($20) and basic spa pedicure ($30). The service wasn't anything out of this world nor was I expecting it. It was just what they call it, basic. Standard mani and pedi with the grooming of nails, basic massage and hot towels at the end. If you're in the area and need a salon, stop on in and give them a try.

Mimi and two other ladies were so incredible helpful and nice! I walked in after work, wanting a gel, X pedicure and gel extension manicure, and Mimi did not disappoint!! a different lady worked on my pedicure, but Mimi worked on my manicure and I couldn't ask for a better result, I'm not from the area. I'm from New York and just stopped by and honestly, this was the best pedicure and manicure I've ever received!! Pics speak for themselves

Mimi made me feel fabulous! She got me in last minute and gave me my dream nails within a timely matter as well. I love the shape and the French tip is done perfectly. The chroma is so fun, the pictures barely do it justice. Will definitely be a long term customer at Blend Salon!

I got pedi and manicure here for the first time. The service was excellent. I love the design. The staffs are Professional and friendly. The atmosphere is welcoming.

AMAZING EXPERIENCE! In from out of town and was looking for a place and was crossing my fingers it'd be good. My expectations were far exceeded. Everyone was so friendly, warm and welcoming. Gel mani, pedi with arm and leg massage. The massages were amazing and as they were doing my nails, they were checking in with me about how they looked, color, etc. As someone who is vocal with feedback at the nail salon, I loved how thoughtful they were being because it was so communicative throughout. Massages basically put me to sleep. Whenever I'll be in SF I'll be back here.

Im all for supporting small business but Im really not happy with my nails. Came here for The first time, and NOT Coming back. The lady did my nails is too rough, she almost cut me. Continue being Rough. I kept saying ouch and she pretends she doesn't hear me.. my nails look uneven, her painting was really bad, my nails still need shaping. She didn't even clean my under nails. At this point i didn't say anything because i don't think it matters, because she seem rushing and don't care. This is so sad! This place Definitely not my place to go!

The manager and tech said the extensions looked normal. I said I felt water in my nails and could stick my extensions inside the gap. They offered to fill the hole with more glue, but extremely resistant on redoing them. When I realized they were going to keep denying the gap, I said I don't even want a refund can you please just take them off. After more antagonizing stares and conversations between the tech and manager, I asked for a refund. The manager said I only get a 50% refund. They don't wear gloves and never asked me to wash my hands in both appointments. Don't go here. Even if you have positive intent, they don't care to fix their work if they don't "see it". Weird behavior.

Wahhh it's pains me to write this review. I called to ask to see if they can repair a nail since I chipped mine, and I didn't ask if they can do ombré (so maybe this is my fault) I went in and they repaired my nail but it does not look like my original manicure at alll I wish they would have told me it's not something they can match. She was also very rough with my nails and cuticle it hurt a lot I'm surprised I didn't bleed actually. She also was upset I didn't tip.... If the work was good I definitely would have. Oh and my "repaired" nail only lasted one day before falling off read more

I stopped into this salon to get a pedicure on the first day of my vacation to the city. It's next door to another nail salon and for no reason at all I chose to walk into this one. I chose poorly! The paint job on the pedicure was very sloppy. Pretty much every toe ended up with polish outside of the actual nail. The reason for giving more than just 1 star is that the prices here are really good. For being in the Union Square area of the city I was expecting elevated pricing, but it was actually cheaper than what I pay in my hometown of Portland. The person who did my pedicure was also very nice and friendly. I was a walk-in customer so I'm thinking that maybe if you book an appointment you may have a better experience since they won't be as rushed to get you out the door. Or maybe they do better manicures than pedicures. Either way, if you're looking for a a cheap nail salon, check this place out. But know that the results will also likely look cheap. Just another "you get what you pay for" type of thing. read more

great communication from the staff- i called in asking for a walk in/appointment and i got scheduled within the first 5 mins of the call! they continuously informed me of the correct location (547 sutter st) and they're actually located right next to another nail salon so make sure to check the name before you enter amazing service- got seated immediately for a pedicure and they have amazing range of colors to choose from, as i was seated for my pedicure, they got started on my nails for my manicure as well. they have different services from a basic pedi to a deluxe package. it was only 10$extra for the deluxe and a $15 extra for the gel manicure- they offer acrylics and gel x! i got gel x this time and i was so pleased with the results. will definitely come back read more

To start off with whoever the man is, which I'm guessing the manager or the owner makes you feel very uncomfortable. He kept looking at me strange and he kept hovering over my shoulders. He proceeded to break down the price of what I asked for and I told him it was fine not once not twice but three times. He proceeds to look at me. I asked to look over the colors and he just stands there as if I was going to do something. He made me feel like he didn't think I had the money to afford their services which actually sucked. I hate my nails do not go there. read more

Nice place. Nice people, they speak English well if you care about that. They take their time and are skilled at doing designs. I've gotten dip here previously but today I got gel. It cost me $80 today (plus tip) for gel mani with design plus regular pedi. They have some extra luxury options for the pedi but even the regular one comes with hot stone, which is nice. They skipped the hot stone for me today since I had a sunburn and did a cooling mask instead, I appreciated the attention to detail and accommodation. They also do a punch card so if you get 10 services you get one free. If you get a manipedi that is 2 services for punch card, so you can build up rewards quickly. Covid wise, all wore masks, they sterilize their equipment, and they have manicure chairs with the plastic walls available. For pedicures, they have massage chairs, which I love. They use an electronic file to remove your old gel paint (along with acetone soak), which I am not used to... but I didn't ask them to stop and they were careful about not scraping off too much. read more

Tiff here. I have been going to Blend for nearly two years and they NEVER disappoint! Hanna killed my nail design today but Kevin and Mimi, the owners, are my normal nail techs. They are all incredibly patient and open to try something even if it's new for them. They take the time to study the (million) inspo pics to really nail (see what I did there) the design. All the techs are nice and professional. The place is clean and updated. They recently did some updates even though the previous massage chairs, foot spas, tables, etc were in excellent condition. Be prepared to be asked if you want water or tea every few minutes by everyone lol! Jk- ish! They really want to make sure you are enjoying your experience which I more than appreciate. If you are reading this, don't walk, RUN, to Blend Salon for all your nail, waxing, massage needs! Peace and love. read more

Got me in as a walk in. Were super nice and accommodating. I went in wanting a fill on my acrylic nails and she proceeded to take off nails and it was too late to do anything about it. She was giving me "gel x" nails which she was consistent they were much better and last longer. I did not want them I wanted acrylic nails because I knew these wouldn't last. Of course within 2 days two were broke off another loose and then next day one split right down the center. I was so upset I had wasted $80 which is expensive compared to what I normally pay and I am not local so had to rip the remaining ones off and go get a whole new set somewhere else. I'm just mad she didn't listen to what I wanted. I would never recommend getting gel x nails ever they don't last! Other than that they did look great the two days while I had them so she did a good job and was very nice during service. read more

I got one of the best manicures and definitely THE best hand massage by May at Blend salon today. The place is not at all what you'd consider fancy, but the service is top notch, and May's work is impressive. She took her time to make sure that my nails look perfect, and most importantly (at least for me), the cuticles cleaned up with no hang nails. That's a major pet peeve of mine. To top it off, they are not expensive, a set of gel manicure costs $35. It's located conveniently close to my office in Union Square, can't wait to go back for a pedicure next week! read more

The only reason I am giving it 3 stars is because the employees were very nice; however, my dip nails did not even last 1 week. My friend's polish on her toes started chipping after a few days as well. I had to go to another nail salon after only 4 days because the SNS dip chipped and my real nail broke! In addition, by definition a "gratuity" is something given voluntarily or beyond obligation for some service, so I do not really appreciate when people ask for a "tip". Granted, I always leave gratuity, but it shouldn't be something that I feel I am "forced to do". I leave a gratuity because I appreciate the services being offered, but there are times when the services provided do not warrant gratuity. It comes off as "desperate" when one says, "I did a good job...tip"! I did leave them a tip, but for future references...allow your clients to offer before you request it. read more

I called and made an appointment for 3:30pm and was greeted so politely and was seated right away. I meet the owner Kevin who was hospitable and offered me water and tea. My nail tech was such a trooper, as I had originally walked in with acrylic nails that needed a desperate fill, but I wanted to change it up and go with the New Gel X. Ivy (or Avy) was so good and even opened my water bottle for me, she did such a great job on my nails and made sure that all of the old acrylic was taken off properly for my new nails. I really liked how they also texted me before hand to make sure I didn't get confused as there is another salon right next door. I also felt for taking off my old set and giving me a whole new Gel X set plus design for $95 wasn't bad at all, especially being in the city. I'm so glad I found my new salon, especially with my job being so close by. I will definitely be back for my St. Patrick day nails read more

Beware! I went in for a gel pedicure and acrylic full set. Within 3 hours of the service, 9 out of 10 nails fell off entirely. I think having 3 separate people work on my acrylic set was the first red flag. They don't consider refunds and are hostile. This was my first time visiting this nail shop during my work trip in SF. The employees nor owner cared that these nails are for my engagement. Super disappointing. Do not recommend. read more

I usually go here but yesterday when I did, this older man did my acrylics, didn't know if he worked here or was lounging around, I wanted an ombré effect i showed them a picture and everything and the guy said he knows how to do it, but i guess not. Then as I watched him messed up on my thumb and then try to cover it with another design and said he wouldn't charge me?? So i told him to put it on the other thumb to even it out and then proceed to say i have to pay for that design ?? How are you going to say that when YOU messed up after i told you to fix it. The pedicure was nice and relaxing but my acrylics are not I'll ask for Kevin next time. read more

This place is awesome, super comfortable chairs and skilled nail technicians. I originally booked the place next door but decided to come here because it was less crowded and I wanted to be farther away from other customers, but I think I'll keep coming here if I'm in the area. I went in just for a manicure, no polish or anything, to get my nails cleaned. The nail tech basically did nothing. My cuticles aren't clean and my hangnails are there. Poor job, i paid $22 for them to do nothing. read more

I've been searching for a good nail technician in SF for dipping powder and coffin shaped nails... for some reason it's been challenging finding that right person. Read all these reviews about how good Kevin is at his craft and wow, so impressed! I called on Friday for a late morning appointment and he was able to accommodate me right away. Kevin listened to me and did his magic. He took his time and constantly checked to make sure I was happy with the shape of my nails. I was warmly greeted by the staff and was offered tea/water upon arrival. Located right around union square with TONS of dipping powder colors. Fairly priced and friendly . The absolute WORST nails I've ever had. They took forever, the product was super drippy. The lady had to continue to put layers that made the mail gloppy even after filing. The nails are uneven & super thick, not like the slender square look I wanted. Such a shame because I wanted my nails to look extra good for my friend's wedding as I will be having henna painted the same evening. Do not bother going whatsoever !! Keep walking! read more

Ok! If you are looking for a serious 5 star nail salon.. Blend is the place to go! there service is top notch. Called for an appointment, walked right in, they sat me. handed me hella colors... So many options. offered me water, hot tea... They have a card where they want you to come back. I love little places like this that care about the customer. I travel a lot and am always trying to find new nail places in various cities. I went to Blend Salon and they did a great job! Onah gave me a pedicure. I am embarrassed to say I have a lot of calluses, but Onah spent a lot of time with patience and scraped them down. Mimic did my finger nails at the same time and they turned out great. I would highly recommend this salon. read more

Really nice salon and my nails are always gorgeous but a few downsides here…read more 1. Every time I've made an appointment and shown up, 2-3 people will work on my nails in one session. They tend to switch off a ton and it's just kind of weird having to explain to many people what I want. 2. A refill for Gel-X has consistently been a 2.5+ hour long appointment. I think it's because of all of the switching off, there's so much repetitive filing. 3. I've never had a set of Gel-X last more than a few days without at least one falling off. I once left the salon and the thumb came clean off within 20 minutes and then I had to wait for almost 45 for them to glue it back on again. Another nail popped off within a day. I really wanted to like this place but can't come back, it's very inconsistent and honestly just a waste of money if I have to keep getting my nails redone before 2 weeks.

I have visit Blend Salon once more but without my girls this time. I am so surprise that Tina remembered who I was!! :) This made me feel like they actually care about their customers and feel the need to remember our names.... I did my nails once more but this time I did Gel nails and let me tell you it is absolutely AMAZING!! It is still on no chips looking flawless and it has been like 2 to 3 weeks already and it was worth the extra money ! I did a leg wax this time also because I was desperately needing one and so i decided to try it out ,Tina did it for me and it was almost painless!!! there were these adorable teen receptionist who i found out were Tina's granddaughter and grandson who's mom owns the salon. The atmosphere was yet again friendly and very kind. I plan on visiting more often because my nails are a disaster without the help of the crew of kind ladies at Blend Salon. read more

I made an appointment on the app RSVMe otherwise I would never in a million years go here. The place is pretty small only 2 stations for nails and 4 pedicure chairs. The Asian guy started doing my nails. I wanted nail powder with extension. He asked how long I want my nails I told him when to cut he cut way too short. When I asked him to redo my thumbs he was like " longer bails cost extra" typical upsell crap. When I told him to show me on menu where it says that he just kept repeating himself. Nevertheless I did not pay extra. After he was done he made my nails very thin = likely to break. 2 of my nails broke 1 day after getting my nails done. Horrible place. read more

Sarah Gomez is thee best hairstylist I have ever gone too...I've been her customer since 2000 as well as all my girlfriends and she is outstanding when it comes to cut and most importantly color...she tells you straight out what really looks good for your facial features so that when your hair grows out it looks great the entire year...I constantly get complimented on my hair its funny especially when people say hey did you get your hair done again and I laugh especially since I go once a year and my highlights never grow out ugly...Everyone should go see Sarah at Blend Salon she will not disappoint you!!! read more

I recently visited this nail salon for a pedicure, and unfortunately, I left feeling quite unsatisfied. I was assigned to someone who seemed untrained, which really impacted the quality of the service. While I was disappointed with the result, I didn't want to complain directly to her, especially since the boss was there and I didn't want to cause any discomfort. Obviously I went and got it done last weekend and wow they did a fabulous job! Unlike other crowded salons there is a real atmosphere of calm , because there are three very courteous technicians who are the owners. I noticed that they keep their appointments on time which is really appreciated.

( I wanted it to match) I'm wondering why they didn't tell me to choose another color. I left with my nails not done. My toes were done horribly nails all different lengths and I paid for callus removal and they didn't do that. They didn't put a hot towel on feet and noticed they re use buffer and files! I had to go to another salon to have my nails finished! have myTotally gross. Do not go to this salon. They suck !!!!
