My favorite nail tech is Bill but have gotten my nails done by others before and the quality is always on point. I usually go for the Gel X but they offer a variety of services. I always bring my friends here and everyone leaves happy and satisfied. The service here is always friendly and they offer refreshments with their services, usually water or tea. their prices are affordable and accessible depending on what you want done! definitely recommend if you're in the area.

I am so disappointed I'm going to have to have my nails completely redone wasting more money. Sloppy and unfriendly service. Avoid. Oh and I requested GEL X and they didn't tell me that they were doing hard gel which is completely different and this ruined my set. I only know because it took so long and he spent 45 minutes putting on a clear something he didn't even tell me about. What a frustrating experience.

What has happened to this place?? Where's all the good nail techs?? I used to LOVE kitty's and swear by it to all my friends but after being relocated for my job and then coming back it seems like its all new staff and they're just "ok". I've been in denial so I keep trying to go back but im disappointed every time. And I've actually been cut the last three times I've been there. One was so bad I had to watch what shoes I wore for a week. This is not to say that the place isnt all bad, I do love their attentiveness and the management/owner seems to really care about their customers. I would just request maybe some more training on cuticle care, and up the massage knowledge a little. Before, it used to be my favorite part and the girls were great, but now the techs just seem annoyed that they have to do it and just quickly rub some lotion into your skin, like Im putting them out. And before, the pedi's lasted forever, now they seem to chip within a week. Im totally open minded and will try this place again because I want them to be the 5star place it used to be. Hopefully this will give them a little nudge. read more

Reliable and well maintained. I live right above a nail salon but it never feels super clean. I walk the extra blocks to go to Kitty's for the friendly staff, clean atmosphere and reasonable prices. 4 stars bc one girl was pretty rough on my cuticles but the end result still looked good. Manager is also very sweet -- one time I had to wait a bit between pedi and polish change so she offered not to charge me full price. read more

The pedicure itself was about 20min and included a scrub and moisturizing. I had let my nails dry for about 20min, and I got up to leave. And two of the workers very aggressively told me not to go because they weren't dry yet. I politely told them I had touched my nails and they felt fine, but they repeatedly told me to sit down so I did. They gave me a fan and I stayed another 5min. When I was leaving, the woman who worked on me went to the counter with me. I said I'd pay via Zelle. She asked me if I had cash for tip, and I told her I did not. And she told me the next time I come to make sure I bring cash (there will not be a next time). While I added the phone number to my Zelle, she just stared me down at the counter and wouldn't let me leave until she saw payment go through. I understand wanting to be paid, but it was very confrontational and I didn't enjoy the implication of a tip. That along with their aggression with me trying to leave is why I will not be coming back here. It was a very awkward experience for my first time, I certainly won't be back.

After cleaning my nails, Amy started applying the MILKY WHITE polish until one of the workers told her no, she had to apply the nude polish at the bottom first. She was prepping my nail and she COULD NOT get the nail to stay and my pinky was literally sore she was on her 4th try. At this point I felt UNCOMFORTABLE and asked her to call the other woman and I removed my hands from the counter. I just did not feel she knew was she as doing. She was STRUGGLING and was not flipping my nail to make sure an even distribution. The other lady came and told me she will give me them for free and I was so confused. I told her paying was not a problem ever, but I wanted a good job and I felt that Amy did not know what she as doing and she needed help. When she was painting the nails I had to ask her to put the polish to the base of the nail and had to remind her about cuticle oil. I was told the nails would be free but then I just got a $20 discount. I am not the type of customer to make a scene or be rude and I did not bring this up but any other customer would definitely would have brought up that free nails were promised not a $20 discount. I would not book with Amy if you want the price of an "expert" with the experience of a rookie. In the end the nails did look good BUT the experience and time it took was so insane. When I arrived, I ended up waiting 30 minutes to be seen, and the energy in the nail salon was pretty negative and aggressive, as one of the nail artists was yelling at her coworkers. This made me uncomfortable and was very unprofessional; it's not the first time I've seen this particular nail artist behave negatively. As for my manicure, Amy was my nail artist, and I haven't been her client before. The main thing to note is she skipped a vital step of the Russian manicure on nine of my nails (she didn't skip this step on my first nail), which is flipping the nails upside down to even out the polish. Since she only flipped and applied the polish properly on one nail, it's clear she knew the proper procedure but decided to rush my manicure. This has led to my nail polish looking very uneven and the polish lifting a week later. The whole process felt rushed, which is a shame because of the cost of the service. Another small thing to note is that they posted a giveaway on their Instagram but never selected a winner (screenshot attached). It seems like they just wanted the free marketing/engagement from their clients without providing the service they promised in the giveaway. This definitely changed the way I view this business and how they operate, as well as my awful recent manicure. If you're looking for a Russian manicure in the area, another spot on the corner of Polk/Pacific is a spot I would recommend over Nailey Bar. Overall, Nailey Bar has bad practices and doesn't care for their customers' satisfaction.
