First time being at their new location in Linden. Such a cool chill place. The drinks were strong and we loved all our appetizers. They came out fresh and in a timely fashion even though they had multiple groups dining. We had the jerk chicken spring rolls, bang bang shrimp and bang bang salmon bites/nuggets. For the entree the whiting could have been flavored better and I wasn't actually a fan of their tartar sauce or hot sauce which usually can save a piece of under seasoned fish. My girlfriend had the catfish and she said it was seasoned perfectly and was better than the whiting. Candied yams were good and the Mac was fine. Had some of my friend's potato salad and that was good also. Would I go back? Absolutely. Looking forward to try their Rasta pasta with oxtails. Overall I enjoyed my visit, it was comfortable cozy chill and the customer service was top notch which is refreshing to experience now a days. read more

I ordered there jerk lamb Rasta pasta, and it was hitting from the very first bite. If you like spice this is something you should definitely try. Although I visited when they were remodeling their service was quick and easy. I recommend them to my friends. read more

Today's review gets four stars. I haven't really tried the menu. Just the Turkey wings, Rasta pasta, and some sides. The taste and tenderness has been good so far, they redid the restaurant. Good job minus the huge bar (not a drinker). But for those who are you will like. The service is pretty good, could be a bit more attentive. Yet still I give 4 stars. I couldn't wait to try them as their menu looked very tempting. Placed a jerk chicken Rasta Pasta and to be very honest, it was flavorful. But what makes me give them three stars is their wait time and the rudeness of their staff. I had waited over an hour to get the food and when I called, the lady who answered the phone was not one bit apologetic but rude and dismissive. All I asked was for how long more is the wait time as it was already past an hour and her response was "well I don't know because we are short staffed". I understand the struggles of these small establishments to have proper staffing for the amount of business they intake. However, it doesn't give them the right to be rude to their paying patrons. I was amped up for some good soul food. Arrived at a decent time, not many patrons so I figured we would get our food in a good enough time. Other diners who arrived after we did (party of 4) were served before us (party of 2). After waiting for 1 hour and 15 min a staffer finally approached us and apologized for the wait. No offer to refill our non-alcoholic drink, no apology for the wait until after an hour wait time. Once the food arrived, the collard greens were tasteless, the rice and peas so hard that I couldn't even force myself to take another bite. The staff was unprofessional but we did get an offer to have our drinks refilled at the end of the meal. No discount and No thank you. As a business owner who recommends places for people to dine locally I'm going to have to remove this establishment off the list. read more

We came for a valentines celebration that they were having. The dj was great. Unfortunately we were treated poorly by I am assuming the manager. We originally came in with 3 people and sat at a table that sits 4. My sister wanted to join us, I didn't think it would be an issue given there was a free table right next to us. I asked one of the staff if we could use the table he said no problem and pushed the table in for us. Communications must have been mixed up because a few seconds later someone came and moved the table back and gave it to someone else. Not a big issue because we only needed one seat and was waiting to ask for an extra chair when an older woman approached us so rudely and stated they can not accommodate our party size and that there was nothing she could do. I was so shocked at her behavior considering she didn't even let me speak and was very dismissive.The aggressive behavior was so uncalled for, my sister was so embarrassed that she just left. I would like to say thank you to the waitstaff who also looked shocked by her behavior and who tried to still accommodate us and were so polite to try to resolve everything. Unfortunately the womans behavior completely ruined our experience and we didn't want to dine there any longer. In a time where everything is so expensive I would think that a business would treat their customers better. read more

Although they were short staffed and it took awhile to be seated, once we sat down the staff did their best to accommodate us. For our main meals, my boyfriend ordered the fried salmon with potato salad and plantains; I got fried catfish with collard greens and mac & cheese. Both dishes were amazing and full of flavor! We ordered the Buffalo egg rolls and Jerk Chicken egg rolls for appetizers. The Buffalo egg rolls were yummy. It was stuffed with Buffalo chicken and cheese; it was light and airy. For entrees we ordered, the Pan Seared Salmon with Mac n Cheese & String Beans, Smothered Turkey Wings with Mac n Cheese, Rasta Pasta with Jerk chicken, & Lamb Chop with Mac n Cheese & Yams. Everything was delicious except for the yams. They were unfortunately out of Collard Greens. The ambiance had good vibes and tunes of R&B in the background. If you're in town, check them out. Blended Flavors is a definite hit for that Southern and Caribbean fusion mix! We've had great food from them before so I knew this go around wouldn't disappoint! I just want sides for a meal I already had planned out. I placed an order ahead of time and what we received was perfect! The menu for us was Caribbean Surf and Turf, so I got a nice mix of sides that complimented the meal. The collards greens, the cabbage, the green beans, the yams and their rasta pasta were all pretty good! They certainly elevated the aforementioned meal. I must say that the all staff members working during my pickup were super friendly. The atmosphere upon arrival was inviting and we look forward to a dining experience in house. Stopped in for a quick bite and a drink on a Tuesday evening and was blown away. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. I sat at the bar ordered a drink which was properly made. I love this girl chef and I love her food, I have tried numerous different dishes from the Jerk chicken which is my usual, the fried catfish and the smothered turkey wings, the fried shrimp and finally the oxtail. I enjoyed all of them however a couple of suggestions if you don't mind the smothered turkey wings need more gravy, I have asked for extra gravy but it seems to never happen. Oxtails I know that they are expensive now but the portion needs a little bump. Love, love love the grandmas potato salad, the yams, & collards. Here is my one big, big peav- the staff is unfriendly and at times have been rude. Get your staff in line!! The food was good! I've been back 3 times in less than 30 days! (Once I ordered from UberEats). I've tried the oxtail Rasta Pasta, fried fish, fried chicken, mac&cheese, and collard greens. The oxtails were salty... I won't get that again, but everything else was good. The drinks are also well made and they have happy hour during the week until 7pm! I was a little nervous to cheat on my normal lunch spot for jerk chicken but I said hey let me give it a try && I must say that it was worth it! The jerk chicken was full of flavor and wasn't too "jerked." They have this special honey jerk sauce and its to die for! Its the perfect blend of seasonings and adds some moisture to your food. I had jerked chicken with the rice & peas and mac & cheese; the mac was good, but the rice was a bit bland, the honey jerk sauce helped saved the day. My colleague had an order of the southern fried chicken with french fries and the honey jerk sauce on the side. The chicken was fried perfectly, it wasn't over cooked so it was still juicy; I wish we were able to get more honey jerk sauce on the side. The actual space is small and intimate, there's plenty room for seating. The staff was welcoming and the family environment can definitely be felt when you enter. Outside there is very limited parking, i would say that's my one con. I would recommend this place and try other things on the menu. read more
