Let me preface by saying the food was great!! The service however was lackluster. I had to seat myself and was then told I was sitting in the wrong area. The table had no setting . I was served apps with no cutlery or napkins . I asked for both 3 times and waited 15 minutes before I could clean my hands and mouth. I was then given a fork after my dinner came out . I was never checked on , never asked if I needed anything else . Things were delivered and wait staff immediately turned around and disappeared . Sooo much to say first off this is my 2nd time eating here nothing wrong to say about the food and being that each time I've went with friends so I was able to try multiple entrees no issue with the cooking. The employees are nice and friendly BUT ......I ordered a meal for pickup that took TWO hours granted it was a Friday night but that's still overboard. when I did show up it was full inside I just don't think 2 hour wait is exceptable. Now to go back to my first experience which was DIne IN I had the same experience and it wasn't packed like this time. So it's clear they may need to hire more pple to compensate the wait time cuz no one wants to go out and wait over an hour for food especially with a party of 2 each time. They have hookah, & like tvs all over the place with music and videos playing. We ordered our food and it took a while to get it. So if you come here, be prepared to wait for your food. The food was ok. It wasn't nothing out of this world. I got the Mac and cheese with honey garlic salmon bites. The honey garlic sauce was more honey than garlic. Very sweet. Food: The food was really good. It was flavorful, might not be good for your BP though . The crab legs with the butter were seasoned just right. I was able to basically build my own meal so I can taste several things from the menu. My least favorite were the lamb chops that needed to be crispier and have a sauce with it. Another downside I'd point out is that the paprika seemed to be used on almost all the food and over powered it. Service: Service was good. My friend and I got there after they stopped seating and because we came from Out of town they allowed us to sit and eat anyways. Our waitress was attentive. I have been following Crabbae on Instagram for a while so I was psyched to visit them for a meal. Service was polite and helpful, although we had to download the menus onto our phones (no physical menus). It was early evening, but still a bit dimly lit and the music was probably a bit loud for casual conversation. The food was delicious and ample. The Rasta Pasta was creamy and had a small kick (I personally would prefer more spice but that's just me). The oxtail was ample, tender, with a nice amount of fat. I wasn't a fan of what I think were butter beans in the pasta, they tended to get a little mushy or mealy but a minor gripe. I did *not* know in advance that an 18% gratuity was included (for a small party) so when I went to pay, they told me the amount of the bill and spun around the "tip" screen, which I tipped on as well - which means I tipped them twice. Not a huge deal but if a restaurant is going to automatically include a tip, they should go out of their way to make you aware of it. Caveat emptor. read more

Been wanting to try this spot for some time now... and it did not disappoint. We saw the IG post advertising appetizer, 2 entrees, and a dessert for $50... reeled us in really quick LOL . Of course you are limited to the options with that deal but everything was great... the catfish was so delicious! Only minor thing I would point out is the Rasta came out a tad bit cold, wasn't hot at all ... but we were okay with it... our server was great too... he even went to grab us some Oreos from outside so that they can do the fried Oreos lol. Came here with my Wife for my Birthday. It's a place we've heard about a few times & she would see on Instagram frequently. There is street parking as 'Crabbae' is seated on the corner in a residential area. So the parking is free, but not super convenient. A lot of "No Parking' corners & 'One Way' streets. The venue itself is small to medium in size, & when we went they were almost full. Keeping that in mind, the service was VERY slow. We waited what would be considered much longer than usual to even place an order, & then even longer to receive it. I spoke with a friend who had been there twice before & she replied via text "Oh, you'll be there awhile. They're slow. I only do To-Go from them now." It is a BYOB establishment, with sanitizer at every seating station, which is comprised of low top tables & high top tables. The environment is very loud between the music & customers. So if you want somewhere quiet & romantic, or to be able to carry on a conversation at a normal speaking volume, this isn't the place. Also they have ONE single occupant bathroom. The menus are presented via QR code, & they offer Hookah in a variety of flavors. The food we had was the 'Wings & Shrimp Rasta Pasta,' 'Honey Garlic Wings,' & 'Fried Cajun Cream Corn.' Yes, we went to 'Crabbae' & didn't order any crab, lol. The food was good. It looked very good, & it tasted very good. I would definitely come here again, but like my friend said, for "To-Go" orders only. Some of the things I mentioned can be subjective as to whether they are negative or just circumstantial. The only things that kinda rubbed me the wrong way were: 1- My Wife ordered an "Uptown," & they didn't even realize that they had run out, so they gave her something else that they didn't even know what it was, but they said "it tastes good too." 2- I asked for sparkling water, which again, they said that they had, but instead brought me flat water, which they charged me $8.32 for. 3- When I went to the counter to pay & stood there with my bill & card ready to go, two separate staff members took other people in front of me, in spite of the fact that I was standing at the register and had been there first. Crabbae is a small quaint establishment. The service was fast & friendly. The food is a bit pricey but somewhat understandable because it's primarily seafood, but adequate portions. I will say that my fried shrimp were perfectly fried & appropriately seasoned. Quite often shrimp is over cooked or has more batter than shrimp, this was not the case at Crabbae. As for the jerk chicken wings, they were quite tasty, although spicy. I would have preferred a rice option oppose to French fries. This restaurant is BYOB, but has a $10 cork fee. My only real complaint is that the music is a few decibel too loud, I struggled to have a conversation with my friend. I think the next time I would only do take out. While I enjoy eating out, I enjoy doing so as a way to engage with family & friends, however the music level at Crabbae made it difficult to do so. read more

This location is very small so you must make reservations, I've been wanting to come here for awhile and finally made it. It's BYOB so don't forget your drinks. Babe and ordered a Hookah which was definitely hitting. We started off with the Salmon and Crab roll which was delicious. I ordered the Rasta Pasta w/Honey Jerk Chicken and Shrimp. Babe ordered Rasta Pasta w/Lobster and Crab. The Rasta Pasta was too spicy to my liking but Babe enjoyed it. Service was great so sorry I forgot our waitress name but she was very attentive as well as the female who served our Hookah. Crabbae is more off a lounge type place. The music is jamming with several TV's on the wall playing the videos and the hookahs are flowing so I would definitely leave the kids at home. As I said earlier the place is small so it can get Smokey in there with 3 or 4 Hookahs going at once. If it's your birthday they do a good job at making you feel special. Saw this place on IG and decided to take a little road trip out here today. The restaurant is small and seating is limited. When we arrived, I believe the owner was out front cutting the grass. We were greeted when we walked in and sat immediately. Our waitress was so friendly. They do not sell liquor so I ordered there homeade mango lemonade. It was just okay. Barely any sugar in it. I had the oysters w/ crab meat. It was good! I love oysters so it was a must I try. For my entree, I had the lobster tail + crab meat rasta pasta. It was also good. The sauce was flavorful. My husband had the waffle with fried oreo on top. He wasnt happy with his selection. However, he did enjoy the egg, sausage, w/ potatoe platter he had. My advice for anyone visiting....PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR BILL. They guide you to scan the barcode to view the menu, so you assume the pricing on the menu should match what appears on your bill. Ours different. They have the fried oreos listed as a topping for the waffle but charged my husband an additional $8 for the fried oreos. After thoroughly explaining, they removed the charge. They also overcharged us for the oysters also. They are listed as $22.88 and we had 2 orders of them. $22.88 x 2 is $45.76. Initially, the bill had the 2 orders of oysters listed as almost $60. After we explained it, she dropped the price but it was STILL wrong. We were charged $52. We got tired of explaing, so we just chalked it and paid. Also, the bathroom is extremely small. Not good for plus sized people at all. All and all, the service was good and the food was alright. However, I wouldnt take the drive to eat here again. read more

The girls and I got together to get some food and do karaoke. The reservations were for 7pm and when I arrived I was lucky to find parking right away. Usually parking is terrible in this area. I walked in and asked the lady about the reservations and she pointed us to the back corner. The place is small so it's probably best to make reservations ahead of time. The ambiance is so/so. We were served by a young lady that did her best, I forgot her name. I started with a Snapple for my drink, this spot is byob. I wish I could of tried the uptown but the server confused me what we were asking about drinks so I didn't know they even had any until it was too late. For my meal I got the shrimp mini. While we waited for our food the music was blazing good tunes and the karaoke was nice. The meals were coming out one by one and I waited about 10 minutes after the first person to get my meal. The service was a little delayed because there were only 2 people serving. One thing I will say is the food was pretty good and filling. The girls got different meals and they had mixed reviews. Came all the way from Staten Island and waited a hour for food only for it to come out cold and on top of that they gave my daughter the wrong order. The corn on the cob was just sprinkled with old bay, no salt or butter.The manager tried correcting the mistake but when you came a distance and hungry, it doesn't really matter.
