Nice little coffee and Internet café offering breakfast Sammie's, wraps, and pastries. Competent and friendly barista attended to my early AM java needs during our visit to Vancouver. Has my "Give 'em a Whirl" meter perculating for more. Go here.

Chill spot for a nice drink. Prime spot on davie and Granville. Plenty of seating and free wifi. I got an iced matcha - wasn't the strongest matcha flavor but overall still fine.

Coffee shop at the corner of Granville and Davie. Good - nice large area. Open 24h. Coffees consistent with other locations. Bad - some seriously sketchy (and funky smelling) people going up and down the street outside, as well as entering the coffee shop. Buddy and I had to watch our stuff. I guess this place is a option for coffee, but I wouldn't really recommend sitting around here at night. Takeout is probably best.

    Green Tea

We had gotten an iced peach green tea. The drink was made rather quickly but once we sipped it, the drink was insanely sweet with the syrup they used. I have a sweet tooth and this could definitely be toned down a lot. The shop is pretty big with plenty of seats & tables to work at. The bathrooms gave me the biggest ick. Didn't seem really clean. It's in the downtown area, so it's street parking or paid lots nearby. For one of my first stops coming to Vancouver, I wouldn't come back again.

Baristas seemed quick and friendly so nothing against that. However, my matcha latte tasted extremely watered down and bland. Tasted like water with a hint of matcha. Definitely needs tweaking.

A feed popped up on my Instagram about mochi Mondays as they partnered with a local female owned business and I was excited to support this initiative and had a gift card for Blenz. Mochi Mondays was only available at specific Blenz locations, so I made my way past our nearest location on Seymour and trekked to Davie and Granville on Monday. I had purchased four mochi donuts at $5.50 each. I bought two s'mores, popcorn caramel and vietnamese coffee, the intent was to give two to someone else, but after trying the two flavours, I decided not to give the other two away. The mochi donuts were not light, fluffy nor chewy. I have had mochi donuts at Their There, Mochido, and Ikoi, and the ones at Blenz tasted stale. I nuked one of the mochi donuts and it was slightly better, but still not good. I like Blenz as a coffee shop and the many different flavoured drinks they have, but these mochi donuts were a huge disappointment.

This is a great environment for studying with good bright lighting. I really enjoyed my coffee! I am rating it 3 stars because the sandwich was not very tasty and there was not many outlets for charging computers. Overall decent place.

Overpriced and not worth it. When purchasing a simple drink such as an iced tea, it's kind of expected that you'll get a drink and not a sip. The over usage of ice in drinks should stop being normalized! The service was nothing special, seems like people only stop by to use wifi and the bathroom. Pretty quiet inside with a chill atmosphere.

Open earlier than most places in the city. I stopped in here to grab a shake. It was good and well blended. I would recommend for a quick protein shake.

Coffee was fine, the twit behind the counter was unpleasant. Might be the first time I have said bite me to a coffeeshop clerk.

Revolver is what I'd consider a multi-roaster shop with a focus on the coffee first. The bar is made up of high quality small batch grinders, perfect for grinding fresh for each cup, and a long line of pour over setups to give each cup the attention it deserves. Behind the bar you can see an Aiden by Fellows for quick batch brewing quality beans to the standards of the specialty coffee association or quick recipe testing. The menu is predominantly descriptions of the coffees they're currently brewing with a few classic and simple coffee preparations like a latte and a cortado, but nothing too involved because they focus on the coffee itself. I really liked how they separated the coffees by flavor profile so you could key in on the type of beans and roast you prefer. They offered several natural, honey, and anerobic options, which made me happy. My friend isn't a coffee geek like I am, so it was fun to see which he gravitated to and enjoy that alongside my choice, which was totally opposite. The barista side of the shop is long and narrow, with the bar predominating, but there's a great sitting area right next door that I didn't even notice until we were leaving. I'd hoped to buy a bag of beans to take with me but none of the ones we tried were available. Good sign I suppose, but sad for me. Next time!

We ordered the following: Tiramisu Latte Caprese Bite London Fog Apple Cookie Cherry Matcha Tonic Tiramisu Sea Salt Caramel Gelato The Cherry Matcha Tonic was pretty but wasn't too crazy about the flavor. I should have just gone with my original gut instinct and chosen a hot beverage like Hojicha Latte or something like that. I was sort of thirsting for something cooler for a change though, and the Cherry Matcha Tonic was the first "cool" drink that caught my eye so I decided to go for it. Won't do that again. Everything else was good though. The Sea Salt Caramel Gelato was the star of the show! In the store there's a sign beneath their gelato section that says "Canadian Gelato Champion". I believe it after tasting the Sea Salt Caramel! They had Nama Chocolates too. I was tempted to get some but...only so much a person's wallet and waistline can handle at one time. Will try the Nama Chocolate some other time. You can order in person here, or you can place an "Express" order at the Kiosk. We tried both ways of ordering. Ordered at the counter first and then after finished my Cherry Matcha Tonic decided I wanted to try the Sea Salt Gelato so then tried ordering that from the Kiosk. Most of the parking in this area is paid but I lucked out and got a free spot right around the corner from this place!

I could tell even from outside that it's a popular work and study type of coffee shop with your free wifi and outlets. I hope this post doesn't give it away and make it way too crowded for me to find a seat next time. There's a steady flow of people visiting the stores while I was there on a weekday between late afternoon and early evening but there's always extra seat for anyone new looking for a desk to work or chat with friends. A few could be better are the pricing and temperature. They offer free oat milk substitute and -$0.35 for bringing your own cup but no more employee discount. And it was so cold in there, I could see a lot of people kept their winter jackets on, I don't think it's a heating issue but the constant windy seems to suggest the AC is on rather than the heater, oh wells Im out of there now. For that reason, unless I'm bundled up, it'll be a hard sale to be back again! I got a hojicha latte and it as pretty good, perfect sweetness and temperature for my cold with no ice. The barista was super great to work with.

Knowing how good 49th Parallel is with coffee I thought I'd try their version of the London Fog. I wasn't disappointed. In fact it was best London Fog I've ever had. I've had them at other places but I've never seen a preparation like 49th. They use loose leaf Earl Gray tea in a tall paper tea bag. They put the bag in your cup pour the steamed milk in and the tea steeps right into the milk. It's the smoothest London Fog I've had and isn't cloyingly sweet like many I've had.

I was in need of a snack and this was a short walk from our hotel. 49th Parallel is well known for their thoughtfully sourced, house-roasted coffees and their cult-favorite donuts, but they also offer a small menu of sandwiches if you're looking for something more filling. It wasn't too busy when we got there, though most of the tables were taken. We ordered a mix of sweet and savory: the chestnut brûlée donut, a salted caramel old fashioned, and a couple of breakfast sandwiches--the Doug and the Cascadia--both served on soft, buttery brioche buns. My other half also grabbed an Americano to go with it all. The chestnut brûlée donut was my fav of the bunch. The chestnut flavor was perfectly balanced--nice and light. The sandwiches were also good, especially thanks to that pillowy soft brioche. Overall, 49th Parallel was the perfect stop for a small, simple snack! Would recommend.
