Came and got their hot chocolate. It was not the same as many years ago. It used to be Belgian hot chocolate, very thick and like drinking liquid chocolate. Now they use a single origin Colombian hot chocolate, not the same as before. You can choose dark, milk or white chocolate for hot chocolate or mochas and they are good but not like it was before. There's a large parking lot inside the shopping complex, there are kiosks for paying by inputting your license plate number but we were only going to be there a short time so we didn't bother. Whenever I am in Whistler, I love walking into Blenz; the smell of coffee is great and you don't feel as though it is too commercialized. A very good cup of latte with almond milk and a plain croissant is what I wanted. The croissants aren't the best; mine was slightly burnt and wasn't as flaky as I'd expect it to be. The location is gorgeous - you can sit by the window looking out to the main village area or up at the mountains covered in snow. A great coffee spot if you're in the village and on the go. This location is always packed...any time I've been in here there are no seats. This is the largest coffee shop chain in Western Canada, and the quality of their drinks are superb. It was so cold in Whistler! Coffee shops were a nice way to escape the cold temporarily. We decided to check out Blenz for a quick cup of coffee. Lots of their own cute merchandise throughout the cafe. I ordered a London Fog Latte and my boyfriend ordered a Maple Latte. My drink felt a little watered down, but you were able to taste the strong earl grey flavor and the sweetness was perfect. I wanted something lighter than coffee, so I wouldn't be jittery before our dogsled adventure. I had a chance to take a sip of my boyfriend's drink and that was delicious! It tasted like a warm maple donut - perfect for the cold weather. Wish we had a chance to try out the hot chocolate, since it seems like there were a lot of awards on the walls for it. This location is my first Blenz experience and I loved it! I think, dare I say it, is better than Starbucks!! Why?? Because, they give you lactose free milk choice, while Starbucks does not! They also let you choose what kind of chocolate you want in your hot chocolate, white, milk or dark chocolate! I recently tried out their lactose free hazelnut hot chocolate in milk chocolate and it was so delicious! It was perfect for the cold, snowy Whistler weather! This became our go to spot for an evening hot beverage in Whistler. I think Blenz is a Vancouver/BC chain though I'd wish they'd bring a location or two to the US. They have a great selection of coffee/tea/hot chocolate, as well as sandwiches and sweets. At this particular Blenz location, the baristas are friendly and nice. I love that they take their time to put a little fancy flourish on your beverage. One night I had a Red Tea Latte (not super amazing, but different) and the Belgian Hot Chocolate (delish!) You can request a little code for 2 hours to use the free Wifi which is great! We didn't need to use it for two hours, but it was nice to check in and instagram a few photos. They have plenty of comfy seating on leather chairs, as well as two small arm chairs in the back. This location is in a quieter part of the village, around the vicinity of the Olympic Rings. There are a few good restaurants in that part, and after you eat there, swing by Blenz to get a good cup of cocoa! read more

Came to get pastry and coffee around 8am. The store is pretty packed. A lot of groups and families were here chatting and having breakfast together. The store is super nice and the bright yellow colored cups are pleasing and eye catching. I'm quite surprised that they have all kinds of milk and vegan milk to choose from. I got medium size coffee, there are medium roast and dark roast to choose from. I got medium roast, it tastes medium roast coffee, like Starbucks, with a little bit burnt taste. When I try a new coffee shop, I always judge them on their mocha and this one passed the test! I love being able to choose between white, dark, or milk chocolate (I had dark chocolate for the record). The whipped cream was homemade (not from a spray can) and amazing. My fiancé hates coffee but he thoroughly enjoyed his hot chocolate. I liked that they had the "for here" option and we were presented with large ceramic mugs instead of the paper to-go cups. My Cap was good, my wifes tea was ok. Furniture just as run down as a year ago. Atmosphere would improve a lot with some inspired decorating and arranging. Staff did not smile, seemed disinterested. With only two other patrons and no one else being served, barista called my name and set coffee on counter and turned her back, even though I was seated 4 ft away. A nice touch would have been to walk the 4 ft and hand it to me. Will stick with SB's next door as they consistently do a better job. This place could make a killing by adding a take out window for the parents at the playground and by redecorating and retraining or adding friendlier staff. read more

Speedy service paired with rich coffees and hot cocoa. I personally didn't like the Belgian Hot Cocoa, but my husband loved it. Their seasonal Toffee Nut Latte hit the spot for me--perfect for the cold afternoon that it was. They even had honey there for me to sweeten it with! Also, in the little corner by the window, they have a stash of games you can play.
