I am so glad I went with my gut because they were incredible! They came out perfectly hot, nice and crispy, and were tossed in a seriously flavorful sauce that took them to the next level. Another 1 star review for the laptop issue. It's their prerogative to have whatever policy they like, but they could not have handled it any worse. They have a tiny sign hidden behind the water faucet, so small that I didn't see it in two visits to the place. About 20 minutes in, I was made aware of the no laptop rule and put it off to the side. At this point I hadn't even finished drinking my coffee or eating my pastry. As soon as I was done with them, the same boss lady came over and basically asked me to leave because "there were families looking for a table." She even had the audacity to tell me to "read the room." At this point it had been 42 minutes since I entered the establishment and about a half hour since I received my order. I was seated at the smallest table in the place and not taking up much space at all. It would have been tough for even two people to squeeze in to the table where I was seated. Adding insult to injury, in between my two interactions with the boss, a customer rudely asked when I would be leaving. It took all my strength to politely offer to share the table with her, but she just said she wanted the whole thing to herself. So in the span of about 20-25 minutes I had 3 separate conversations trying to justify my existence at this tiny table. It was unreal and I honestly thought I may have been on some hidden camera television show. This place basically wants to take your money and then rush you out so they can get more people in there. I understand the obvious dollars and cents motivation for this, but it's crass and callous and completely unbecoming of even a small town coffee shop. I travel about 200 days a year and I've been to literally hundreds of terrible coffee shops, but I've never in my life been treated this poorly as a paying customer. Maybe just place a big sign informing everyone of a time limit on how long they can sit. Or at least tell the guy who walks in with a laptop bag and blatantly sets up his laptop that he can't hang out there (like I said I was unaware of the policy so obviously wasn't hiding anything). I would have paid double, even treble, to just be informed in advance so I could patronize a different local business in Whistler and avoid that experience. read more

I tried the below items - Provision egg sandwich (9/10) the fried poached egg was a nice texture and super yummy, but one egg is a bit little - Crispy Parmesan Chicken sandwich (9/10): amazing sandwich and huge portion, but can get a bit heavy after awhile - passion fruit cruffins (7.5/10) very nice pastry to try recommended by the cashier, but definitely super messy to eat - Truffle fries (10/10) MUST GET! - Lavender matcha (9/10) I really appreciate how they were able to minimally sweeten my matcha because I just like a tiny hint of sweetness - matcha latte (9/10) - chicken salad sandwich (8/10) very refreshing - blueberry sweet cream cold brew (8/10) refreshing and not too sweet Highly recommend this place for the food but it's always packed. We went to Provisions for breakfast on our trip to Whistler. I keep hearing about this place but it's always so busy inside. I can see why after I checked out this place. The cafe was beautiful inside with colourful cakes on display. We ordered coffee, maple matcha latte and a breakfast sandwich. Everything was delicious. During my stay in Whistler, I stopped here twice. Both times were very good. The first time, I had coffee and a cheddar and chive scone. It was an excellent scone. The next time, my wife and I had Ruby bowls. OMG! The Ruby bowl is excellent. The only thing about this place is that it gets very busy. I couldn't find a place to sit inside and had to sit outside and they have no heaters. It wasn't terribly cold so it was ok. I'd love to see this place expand to allow for more seating, have heaters outside. The only other mild complaint is that it's like other coffee places that yell out the names of people who ordered coffee. I'd love if they came up with a quieter system. read more

Provision Whistler is very popular cafe restaurant. They offer sandwich, rotisserie chicken , baking goods, and dessert. Ambience was very cozy with stylish design. What we got: peach cruffin, double baked almond croissant, chai latte and matcha latte. Both Baking goods were excellent. Dough was so crispy, buttery and nicely soft inside. Peach filling was just right sweetness and very creamy. Almond croissant almond paste filling was so delicious. One of the best ALmond croissants I ever had. Chai latte flavor was ok, sweetness was perfect. I liked this item. But Matcha latte require more refinement. Some powder wasn't dissolved enough, and I found a bit too much matcha powder. And staff at cashier made a few mistakes for my order and there were no sweetness in it even though I requested, 3 mini cake trio - Basque cheese cake had rich and bold texture. Delicious. Chocolate cake was the best. Very rich and nicely sweet, strong flavor. Passion fruit and yuzu mousse cake was good, however, flavor a bit weak. This place is really nice! I would definitely stop here. We just so happened to be there for the morning rush and ended up not getting a table even though we ordered for here. Eventually one opened up outside. But there were quite a few parties just chilling at the tables without food or drink. This could be managed a bit better for guests already with food. I tried the maple matcha. I didn't see a regular one. But i Think I would prefer a non sweetened version. I'm site they have it. Otherwise it was super tasty. This upscale cafe is always super busy but the staff are great at clearing the tables the moment a guest leaves so if you're quick you can most likely grab a seat. The avocado toast is available all day but it can get pricey depending on which toppings you add. The sourdough was so fresh. If you want to eat cold and poor quality breakfast, this is the right spot for you. Every item we ordered, including the coffee, was a letdown. We were specifically told the hard-boiled eggs would be served warm, but they arrived ice-cold--so cold our child couldn't even eat them. Was hesitant on coming based on some of the reviews but glad we did. Came in around 12:45pm so was a tad early for the roasted chicken which starts at 1pm. Place was a bit packed. All the sandwiches were hot, fresh, and amazing. Chicken was moist and not dry. The burger was cooked perfect and the bun was soft and amazing. Iced latte was perfectly brewed. The breakfast sandwich was good, nice and soft brioche bun, bacon was of a decent quality, egg is prepared easy (which I didn't expect) so it started dripping down my hands as I eat. I eat in, so it would have been nice if they bring fork and knife with the plate. They gave me only 1 napkin but I would need 2 napkins with the eggs dripping down my hands. Solid breakfast sandwich but this little detail is where they lose a star from me. Not your ordinary spot, it's a foodie's cafe with excellent lattes and artisan baked pastries and desserts. I ordered an almond milk latte and breakfast sandwhich on fresh made bread on my way to the airport. I only regret not going there sooner. I will definitely be back the next time I'm in town! We come here every year for a mid afternoon coffee and a sweet treat. It never disappoints and the staff is always friendly. You can count on having a good meal. The place is very clean, even with being constantly busy. Our favorite thing is to grab our lattes and head towards a window seat. Ordered a black coffee, small chai, avocado toast with fried egg and provisions breakfast sandwich. It was pretty full but found 1 table (there were only 2 open at the time). Food and drinks came out pretty quickly despite the full tables. I've had my share of avocado toast and this one takes the cake - the avocado spread, chunks of avocado, fresh dill, thinly sliced radishes and the perfectly fried egg. There is nothing I would change about this - 10 out of 10. The provisions sandwich - the crispy poached egg was everything! Flavors blend so nicely in each bite! Happened to see this restaurant driving in and was excited to check it out. The menu is simple and so happy to say the food was delicious!!! The half roast chicken was super moist and flavorful! Huge portion - we had enough leftover for a second meal! And the drippings helped to flavor the potatos which was a favorite of the table. Chicken parmesan sandwich on foccacia was good. Bread could have been a bit more crispy/fluffy/fresh and meat was a little overcooked but was still substantial. Desserts looked amazing but I was so full we didn't try it. After a long day hiking around Whistler, we needed a well deserved break. We stopped at Provisions for an afternoon snack. Lots of sweet treats and drinks options. The interior in very cozy and warm. I enjoyed my matcha latte, not too sweet or bitter. The caramel coffee cake was very tasty and the toffee cookie was also a good choice. My boyfriend got a local IPA, also an amazing choice so we will definitely go back next time we are in Whistler. read more
