Provisions is definitely a popular, buzzing spot in the morning! I noticed tons of people ordering their breakfast sandwiches--which looked great--but for me, the tater tots were calling my name. I am so glad I went with my gut because they were incredible! They came out perfectly hot, nice and crispy, and were tossed in a seriously flavorful sauce that took them to the next level. The space itself has a few tables if you want to sit and enjoy your food, along with a super convenient self-serve water station. Another 1 star review for the laptop issue. It's their prerogative to have whatever policy they like, but they could not have handled it any worse. They have a tiny sign hidden behind the water faucet, so small that I didn't see it in two visits to the place. About 20 minutes in, I was made aware of the no laptop rule and put it off to the side. At this point I hadn't even finished drinking my coffee or eating my pastry. As soon as I was done with them, the same boss lady came over and basically asked me to leave because "there were families looking for a table." She even had the audacity to tell me to "read the room." At this point it had been 42 minutes since I entered the establishment and about a half hour since I received my order. I was seated at the smallest table in the place and not taking up much space at all. It would have been tough for even two people to squeeze in to the table where I was seated. Adding insult to injury, in between my two interactions with the boss, a customer rudely asked when I would be leaving. It took all my strength to politely offer to share the table with her, but she just said she wanted the whole thing to herself. So in the span of about 20-25 minutes I had 3 separate conversations trying to justify my existence at this tiny table. It was unreal and I honestly thought I may have been on some hidden camera television show. This place basically wants to take your money and then rush you out so they can get more people in there. I understand the obvious dollars and cents motivation for this, but it's crass and callous and completely unbecoming of even a small town coffee shop. I travel about 200 days a year and I've been to literally hundreds of terrible coffee shops, but I've never in my life been treated this poorly as a paying customer. Maybe just place a big sign informing everyone of a time limit on how long they can sit. Or at least tell the guy who walks in with a laptop bag and blatantly sets up his laptop that he can't hang out there (like I said I was unaware of the policy so obviously wasn't hiding anything). I would have paid double, even treble, to just be informed in advance so I could patronize a different local business in Whistler and avoid that experience. read more

I tried the below items - Provision egg sandwich (9/10) the fried poached egg was a nice texture and super yummy, but one egg is a bit little - Crispy Parmesan Chicken sandwich (9/10): amazing sandwich and huge portion, but can get a bit heavy after awhile - passion fruit cruffins (7.5/10) very nice pastry to try recommended by the cashier, but definitely super messy to eat - Truffle fries (10/10) MUST GET! - Lavender matcha (9/10) I really appreciate how they were able to minimally sweeten my matcha because I just like a tiny hint of sweetness - matcha latte (9/10) - chicken salad sandwich (8/10) very refreshing - blueberry sweet cream cold brew (8/10) refreshing and not too sweet Highly recommend this place for the food but it's always packed. I also tried their avocado toast this time and it was one of the most fancy and delicious avocado toasts I've had. Not sure if worth the price. But it's Whistler after all. We went to Provisions for breakfast on our trip to Whistler. I keep hearing about this place but it's always so busy inside. I can see why after I checked out this place. The cafe was beautiful inside with colourful cakes on display. We ordered coffee, maple matcha latte and a breakfast sandwich. Everything was delicious. Provision Whistler is very popular cafe restaurant. They offer sandwich, rotisserie chicken , baking goods, and dessert. Ambience was very cozy with stylish design. What we got: peach cruffin, double baked almond croissant, chai latte and matcha latte. Both Baking goods were excellent. Dough was so crispy, buttery and nicely soft inside. Peach filling was just right sweetness and very creamy. Almond croissant almond paste filling was so delicious. One of the best ALmond croissants I ever had. Chai latte flavor was ok, sweetness was perfect. I liked this item. But Matcha latte require more refinement. Some powder wasn't dissolved enough, and I found a bit too much matcha powder. And staff at cashier made a few mistakes for my order and there were no sweetness in it even though I requested, 3 mini cake trio - Basque cheese cake had rich and bold texture. Delicious. Chocolate cake was the best. Very rich and nicely sweet, strong flavor. Passion fruit and yuzu mousse cake was good, however, flavor a bit weak. This place is really nice! I would definitely stop here. We just so happened to be there for the morning rush and ended up not getting a table even though we ordered for here. Eventually one opened up outside. But there were quite a few parties just chilling at the tables without food or drink. This could be managed a bit better for guests already with food. I tried the maple matcha. I didn't see a regular one. But i Think I would prefer a non sweetened version. I'm site they have it. Otherwise it was super tasty. I also tried the provisions breakfast sandwich with a crispy poached egg. It should come with a warning label because the yolk really pops and can create quite a mess. We also enjoyed a morning bun. High quality ingredients as it's owned by the same folks as Oso and Araxia, and great service. Long lines, especially in the morning, but clearly we find it worth the wait. This upscale cafe is always super busy but the staff are great at clearing the tables the moment a guest leaves so if you're quick you can most likely grab a seat. The avocado toast is available all day but it can get pricey depending on which toppings you add. The sourdough was so fresh. I appreciate the quality of the bread and cheese used, but not sure it translated to a better taste - Truffle fries - OK. If you want to eat cold and poor quality breakfast, this is the right spot for you. Every item we ordered, including the coffee, was a letdown. We were specifically told the hard-boiled eggs would be served warm, but they arrived ice-cold--so cold our child couldn't even eat them. Always make sure I visit this place every time I come to whistler. Love the coffee. Cortado is good but I often love their matcha to have more time here. Their avocado toast is yummy! The breakfast sandwich was good, nice and soft brioche bun, bacon was of a decent quality, egg is prepared easy (which I didn't expect) so it started dripping down my hands as I eat. I eat in, so it would have been nice if they bring fork and knife with the plate. They gave me only 1 napkin but I would need 2 napkins with the eggs dripping down my hands. I ordered an almond milk latte and breakfast sandwhich on fresh made bread on my way to the airport. I only regret not going there sooner. I will definitely be back the next time I'm in town! The homemade buns are soft with a light sprinkling of everything bagel seasoning, eggs are fried perfectly, and the bacon was crispy. We come here every year for a mid afternoon coffee and a sweet treat. It never disappoints and the staff is always friendly. You can count on having a good meal. The place is very clean, even with being constantly busy. Our favorite thing is to grab our lattes and head towards a window seat. Needed a coffee/breakfast place before hitting the slopes and wandered into Provisions as it was one of the few that was open early. Ordered a black coffee, small chai, avocado toast with fried egg and provisions breakfast sandwich. It was pretty full but found 1 table (there were only 2 open at the time). Food and drinks came out pretty quickly despite the full tables. I've had my share of avocado toast and this one takes the cake - the avocado spread, chunks of avocado, fresh dill, thinly sliced radishes and the perfectly fried egg. There is nothing I would change about this - 10 out of 10. The provisions sandwich - the crispy poached egg was everything! Flavors blend so nicely in each bite! This place is nicely casual, reasonable and pleasantly contemporary in ambience. I started with an avocado toast for breakfast which was savory and creamy topped with chunks of fresh avocado. I enjoyed but asked for silverware to eat as the olive oil made it a little too soft to eat with my hands. I returned here for lunch and had the grilled cheese sandwich/tomato soup combo. Happened to see this restaurant driving in and was excited to check it out. The menu is simple and so happy to say the food was delicious!!! The half roast chicken was super moist and flavorful! Huge portion - we had enough leftover for a second meal! And the drippings helped to flavor the potatos which was a favorite of the table. Chicken parmesan sandwich on foccacia was good. We came here for a quick lunch as the space is very inviting and had lots of quality, quick-ish items. The line was almost to the door when we arrived, but it moved quickly. The seating is first come-first served and they have a few outdoor options as well. The turnover is pretty high so eventually you'll get a table. We ended up sitting along the bar along the window so the people watching was top notch! I got the shaved AAA beef sandwich and it was so good! Whistler for the weekend? The Provisions is a must try! This was our second time in Whistler and our first time trying this place. Our group was torn between two different restaurants and decided on this one. So happy we did. As you walk you can already see the people standing in line. More people equals good food! The line moves very fast. As you walk up you see a case of amazing deserts a menu of mixed with brunch and lunch. I opted in for an avocado toast with smoked salmon a side of sausage and tater tots to split with the table. Delicious! With my avocado toast it was a spread with chopped up avocado and salmon! The tater tots came with a aioli sauce which was delicious! My friends ordered bacon breakfast sandwiches (The provisions sandwich) and was nervous that the egg was going to come out "too" runny due to some restaurants they ask for over hard and it come out very runny! This sandwich was cooked to perfection! Another kicker was the coffee. You order your food up front and then to side is where the make the coffee. Perfectly decorated and delicious. Two of our friends didn't have time that morning to have breakfast with us, but we kept having about Provisions so much before we left Whistler the following day they came in and were left speechless. Great place to grab a quick bite. The pumpkin latte was a great warm winter drink. The croissant looked plump but dry. The tuna melt was delicious and cheesy and the chicken parm sandwich was tasty and filling. The tables are always full but people eat and leave so you will get a table soon. read more
