I decided this week that I'm no longer ironing dress shirts to save a buck. My ass is getting too old, too slow, and too impatient for this time sucking activity. I've been at it for 25 %#€£¥ years and I'M DONE. Thank God, Allah, Buddha, Festivus, etc for Blessed Cleaners. The lady that runs this place is so kind and she really forces me to reach into my memory bank to speak Korean to her (my Korean so bad that a Seoul cab driver berated me for a few blocks). Why do I say kind? She doesn't berate me for my substandard Korean! :) Anyways I've always gotten the few items I dry cleaned back cleaned and pressed in a timely manner or earlier than expected. Finding the perfect pair of jeans for my body frame is nearly impossible but I know I can always count on Cindy for that perfect fit. They are so nice! I have never ever disappointed by anything Cindy altered for me. And they clean & press so nicely! Whenever I bring some clothes that have some stains, they put red stickers on it so that they won't miss any stains on clothes. So I always appreciate what they are doing when I drop off. AMAZING customer service. I did my wedding dress here, and I could not have asked for more. Not only did they do a great job with alterations, but it was very affordable as well. As soon as I walked in and tried on my dress, I knew that I was in good hands. They were very personable and made sure that I was completely satisfied and comfortable with the decisions that were made about my dress. When I went back to try on the dress, after the alterations, it was better than I had visioned and expected. I will add that my dress was definitely not an easy dress to work with (because there were about 7-8 layers to the dress), but they did an excellent job. I could not have been more happy and excited to wear my dress down the aisle. I even told my bridesmaids to take their dresses to Blessed Cleaners. I just recently moved back to the area and needed to find a place to have a suede jacket dry cleaned! They actually use another company to clean these items. Unfortunately, I got my jacket back that was originally in great condition, ruined. Mind you I paid around $60+ for the service. You would think these delicate items would be treated with more care. I guess since they are taken for service by another company, they don't have control over what happens to these pieces. read more

This place is a bit hard to find, initially, since its tucked away in the corner of a plaza on Clayton. However, the service and price is great, and also fast. I had never really taken anything to get dry cleaned before (read: poor college student, cotton items only) but my initial experience here was great. Only 10 min from my house and from Concord BART, it makes it convenient for picking up my items after work! Side note: check their website for pricing, and if there's not an item you see online, definitely call them and they will verify it for you. read more

The change over happened mid August 2013, so all of the reviews on here are for the prior owners. Just a Heads UP! I'm not judging, but will probably move to an establishment closer to home. They are great about advising concerns for delicate pieces. They also do good work on light alterations in a quick turn around time. Consumer beware: great dry cleaners UNTIL they ruin your clothes! I always took my expensive shirts here and they usually do a good job BUT this time I brought by $98 James Perse polo to them which is only 3 months old AND I got it back with 3 huge whitish looking spots on it. Keep in mind- my shirt is olive green so these spots definitely show. When I asked them about it, I was told that it was "already like that" and "maybe it's faded because it's old". I said it's not old and why would it fade only in 3 distinct spots? No where else? Again, I was told "I don't know". They did not accept responsibility or offer to clean it again to try to correct it. I told the owner that I'd contact the manufacturer to see if this is a known issue. They should at least offer a refund for the cleaning of it or try once more to clean it. Hopefully Nordstrom can exchange it for me since it's not that old. Don't say I didn't warn you. I'll be going to a new cleaner from now on unfortunately. read more

Before they were bought out this place was great. Family owned and operated. Have their entire family running the business. Now, post sale, I went to another cleaner closer to home and found them very good. A little more expensive but very good. I thought - let me give the new owners a shot and so I did. Well, they are cheaper no worries there but after losing one of my two Tommy Bahama shirts, at $140, I am not going back. I'll go back to the more expensive cleaner that doesn't lose my shirts. Their response is 'Another customer probably has it and our customers are good. They'll return the shirt.' It's been two solid weeks lady, it ain't coming back. Avoid. read more

My husband takes his uniform to get cleaned here and for that they do a good job. However, for anything else FORGET IT!! I've brought pants to get hemmed she hemmed them too short. Had a a small hole in my jeans which she didn't sew correctly, which is now open and had the nerve to charge me $5 to sew. We were loyal customers when previous owners. They were good with men's laundry shirts at a good price. However, things changed dramatically since the new owners took over the business. We would have issues almost every other drop off. Since the new owners started, they have damaged a Black & White Market Cardigan, Burberry button-up shirt, scarf, Ann Taylor button up shirt, missing waist belt that was part of a bebe shirt, missing button on a Michael Kors shirt...the list goes on and on. No four-star establishment here. #1 "Same day cleaning" = show up before 10am to get it back the same day...with no apologies. Doesn't exactly seem like "same day" to me. #2 Numerous times I've had shirts come back with wrinkles. If I wanted wrinkles, I'd iron my own shirts. When I've pointed it out, I was told that I should have told them to iron my shirts instead of press them. I would think that they would know how to clean shirts, as that's their business. #3 Their alterations are hatch jobs. If you want your stuff to get ruined, let them alter it. I've been to Blessed Cleaners several times over the past year, each time needing something altered. Each and every time, she pulls it off (forgive the pun) seamlessly! I have come in last minute for family gatherings or even holidays when she was obviously overworked, and she has squeezed me in and even had my items ready earlier than she promised! She also let me know if any of the alterations I requested would not come out the way I wanted. I had a pair of jean shorts that were a little loose, and she warned me that making them smaller would create a little bump in the back. She was right, and I wasn't happy with how they came out, but she gave me a fair warning so I absolutely don't count that against her. While I really want to go on and explain how wonderfully she did with all of my other items, I think the best way to encapsulate all of them would be to describe my first encounter with her. I came in needing a dress altered for my boyfriend's graduation. She first told me that she could have the dress ready in four days, and I told her that the graduation was in three, and would it be possible to have it ready before then. Without hesitating she finished my measurements and said, "Aaanything is possible!" With Blessed Cleaners, it really is. read more

I heard good things about this cleaner so I had a couple of items hemmed, an overcoat and a couple of shirts to be dry cleaned and since it was my first time there and I was korean, they said they'd give me a discount but not only did they over charge me but they tried to convince me that they were giving me a discount by playing the numbers game with me - I would have been fine with not getting the discount but they pretended like they were giving me such a great discount. When I got there to pick up my cleaning, they said they forgot to give the other receipt for the dry cleaning so I ended up paying way more than I expected- will never go there again!!
