Blimpie has the best value sandwiches in the Midtown area, far surpassing Jimmy John's and Subway (and possibly beating out Jersey Mike's, which isn't in Detroit). They are the only value sandwich spot in the area that has Prosciutto as a meat option (I'm not counting Rocco's as a value spot, as I find them to be good, but expensive). Their capacolla is deli quality and I'm just impressed with their meat quality. To get your sandwich double stacked is like 2.00, which is awesome. I am a Blimpies Wolf! There used to be a ton. Now there's like 2, one here and one in Dearborn. Soooooo much better than Subway. The Blimpie's Best is my go to. They did it up right when I went. I love the thin cheese slices that don't overpower my sandwich but still provide me the right amount of flavor. You can taste the freshness of the meats in every bite. Perfect ratio of meat and veggie. The kicker here is the oil, vinegar, and herb sprinkle mix. So refreshing. I'll be back and also be hoping more Blimpies open up soon again. Great customer service (genuine), great food, great prices. Steak and cheese is my usual go to with the zesty bread. Make sure to add their chipotle steak sauce cause that is some goood ish right there. Oh yeah and the hot ravioli was also my go to-especially in the winter!
