Can you tell.. I'm a coffee addict..
    Amy O.

11/29/2023- Coffee connoisseur and home barista.. (lol).. I've had Blind Dog when we first moved here at a local breakfast shop.. and back then was not an expert at coffee to say the least- but do remember how smooth the coffee was.. Having you cake and eating it too- to be able to enjoy and support a local business and a cup of smooth blending coffee.. It's great to see it at the regular retail shops I frequent..!

The owner, Julia, welcomed us in and served right away their two selections of cold brew, we Loved it. I personally love cold brew and nitro brews. The coffee comes in 12oz/2lb/5lb bags. We bought their winter, Sumatra, and Nevada black blends. Their cold brew new releases come in 12oz cans and will be avaliable late January, she said. The property is pretty big, but the sales floor is small. So I would recommend making an appointment so you don't have to wait so long, and also to get the personal service needed in making good decisions. Like I always suggest and advocate for to support your local owned businesses. Enjoy...

Great place to visit! We stopped in today and we're treated by a nice young gal! She gave us all kinds of coffee recommendations and we purchased a couple different bags. The smell is absolutely amazing when you walk in! Thank you for the extra treats! Can't wait to try the new coffee!

Wow, what a surprise. They've been in my neighborhood for years and I haven't stop by, shame on me. Should you be in the neighborhood I would highly encourage a visit here. Why, you ask? Very friendly people roasting beans in Nevada and they are doing the job properly. I will definitely be back.

Their coffee is rich, flavorful and finely blended. They have a number of blends so you can find one to your taste.

Dina is a fun hostess. We were inspired by their story, their craft, how they cultivated their coffee from Panama. Learning about the process from the soil to bean to cup, made the coffee that much more satisfying. I tried the almond joy latte (and i can see how it taste like the candy bar in a cup!). Their menu also features flavors with cardamom, matcha, butterfly pea flower, ube, smoky salt, light to dark beans, both iced and hot options. They provide single origin coffee, organic ingredients, vegan foods, and even have options for kids. Fun flavors, pastries, sweet and savory bowls, ample seating, beautiful latte art, quick service, breakfast foods with hours that only cover morning and lunch. Make sure to make a stop here!

We spent quite some time talking about it! Had a ton of fun hanging out and socializing with the staff when there was down time. The staff we had a chance to talk with are very friendly. I'm kind of a gearhead, so I like to see what kind of equipment the coffee shops are equipped with. One thing that impressed me was that their pour over stations were equipped with Acaia Pearl scales. They also have Mahlkonig E64 GBW scales, arguably one of the most accurate commercial grinders on the market, and a San Remo F18 3 group machine. Very high end equipment all around. Love to see that. Thank you Dina and staff for an amazing first experience. Will update with our second experience as we will for sure come back!!!

We looked the roastery up and drove over. Tim was such a nice and welcoming guy, and really takes pride in what he does. We bought a bunch of bags and filled up our carry-on and flew home with it. Fast forward to 2 years later, we hare happy Coffee of the Month subscribers and look forward to getting Tim's coffee in the mail. We've gifted the subscription to our friends and family too, and everyone loves it. Perfect for the coffee lover in your life. I look forward to grinding up these beans and enjoying the most delicious French pressed coffee every morning. I feel so lucky we followed our curiosity that one day in Reno.

It would not be out of place in a three-Michelin-star dining room. He roasts every batch himself over a wood fire, feeding a beautiful old roaster with logs he chops by hand. His espresso blends are composed with a level of precision that feels almost synesthetic. Ask him what he is aiming for and he will describe the roast in shapes: how wide the base should be, whether it tapers or flares, how many sides the finished polygon has. I have stood there listening, fascinated, with no real idea what he is talking about, then tasted the cup and understood anyway. Important to know: this is not a coffee shop. There is no barista counter. It is a modest storefront and warehouse, and if you stop by you will likely see Tim at the roaster, stoking the fire. The aroma is arresting from the street. That wood fire imparts a signature note that sets his coffee apart. It does not turn smoky in the jerky sense. It reads as a gentle campfire thread running through the cup, adding warmth and dimension without heaviness. Since moving away from Reno I miss these beans enough that I cave and pay the shipping. If you order Priority Mail, the bags arrive right in the early sweet spot of their drinkability window, perfect for dialing in extraction. If you know your way around a grinder and an espresso machine, get these beans. Tim Curry is an amazing craftsman making world-class coffee, one hand-roasted batch at a time.

I'm a huge fan of Coffeebar in general, so when I saw a location I had never known about or been to, I threw it straight into the map and headed over around 1 PM. It took me 2-3 laps around the block to realize this place was tucked in an alleyway. It's a true hidden gem. I almost gave up when I couldn't find it and the map directions didn't make much sense. This location is a small shop with only a little bit of seating indoors and a few tables outdoors. This is primarily the roasters location, so it's a great place to enjoy the freshest of coffee but also a great place to purchase beans. They had a very large selection of beans for purchase. They still offer a decent menu and a few snacks, though much smaller than the other location. My wife enjoyed a matcha and I enjoyed one of the exclusive roastery blends on drip. Both drinks were very good. The quality of the drip coffee was superior. I want to visit again and try a coffee flight. That's something I've always wanted to do. Overall, friendly staff, delicious coffee, and even though it's hard to find, this hidden gem is well worth the stop. Cheers!
