Went to this place on a bar crawl. Showed the door guy my valid drivers license. Recited my info (address and zip code) and he refused me entrance saying I was not 21. I was born in 2004. I'm almost 22! I know my address. He could have asked for a second ID but did not let me enter with my group. I would not recommend this place that stinks of cigarette smoke and the door guy can't do math. My entire bar crawl group left to go to another bar. This is the only bar that did this all day. read more

This place is great to come to for food. I came for lunch and dinner and I say lunch is the best time since no one will really be there. At dinner time it's more hectic and smoky and you'll need to sit at the bar for service. The place is basement level and dark. Again during dinner might not be the best time to go unless you are okay with being around a rowdy crowd. The food is always great and everyday they have specials. 10/10 recommend coming here for food and if you like the bar scene in general then this is your place to be too read more

Nice dive bar atmosphere. Very good service but gets busy at times. Food is always decent (fresh & as advertised) nothing you can't get elsewhere. Great place to meet friends and enjoy trivia night etc. can be smoky so if that really bothers you then go somewhere else. The ventilation kinda sucks but a quick walk outside to see the downtown scene is nice. I like getting a tad stoned on whiskey then watching the people get off and on the buses across the street. Where most other restaurants are giving you less food for more money, the Blind Pig flips the script. A huge Gourmet hand tossed burger patty with 4-5 strips of bacon, cheese and the works accompanied by a side salad loaded with the toppings for $10.99 is insane. I asked who the owner was and what his name was he said we're not doing this get out. And I fight for equal rights can I have fought for my country. I hesitated to write this because I love and support small business. But this just isn't right. Last night we went to the Blind Pig after a traumatic event. I was distraught and needed a drink, my sister needed some food. We went in and should have turned around and walked out as soon as we saw the bartender not wearing a mask. But we were there so we continued. When our wait person arrived, she also wasn't wearing a mask. No one in that establishment wore a mask. At 9:30 the place got very crowded, club music came on and it was like coronapalooza. In a week where the president, First Lady and 10 others close to them (so far) have tested positive, you would think this place would know that no one is above getting Covid-19. Earlier in the evening I had dinner with friends at Bru. Everyone wore masks. People there had much more concern for their patrons AND their margaritas were 10x better. Went here on opening night and to be honest, I was a little disappointed. The location is great, place looks good and I like the decor. I feel like opening night is a bit too early to talk about the prices but they looked decent. In terms of the vibe, as soon as I entered the bar with my friends, it didn't feel very welcoming. Personally, I'm also not a fan of smoking in drinking establishments and so that was a turn off for me. I'd go back once more before I made a solid determination about the place. But I'm not super excited about it. read more

I have been going on and off for the last few years and I used to enjoy this place but recently the food has been coming out to a different quality than it used to. The calzones used to be my favorite but now they're burnt and cold at the same time. So I'm very upset. I sent the first one back and the second one was the same way. I left and called to check up on the quality and they said it was the normal cook and the food was like normal. I'm here to say the normal has changed and is worse than ever. I want them to start cooking like they used to and if they need to take more time cooking then I'm fine waiting more for good food but 2 hours for 2 bad calzones is unacceptable. Ive only been to this bar twice. and both times I leave I immediately take a shower because I believe anyone could easily get a staph infection here. the bartenders are rude. and expect tips after every cash payment. they get mad if you pay with cash also. We were greeted as soon as we walked in the doors, which is good to see some businesses that still remember how to do customer service. My wife and I were concerned that we were the only customers during lunch hour, but we decided to give it a shot. We love this location and enjoyed eating here when it used to be Down Under. Unfortunately as we seated ourselves, we realized that the new establishment allows smoking, which I honestly didn't realize was still a thing anywhere. While we were waiting on our food (which took longer than sandwiches and fries should've taken) a few other customers arrived, cigarettes ablaze. Being in the basement of a building caused it to fill up with smoke very quickly. Aside from that unfortunate issue with the atmosphere, I really enjoyed the food. Their "fries" are like spiraled potatoes that are crispy and well-seasoned. The Italian sandwich had the right meat to bread ratio and plenty of melty mozzarella. Overall, the staff was very friendly and I'd order food from here again anytime I had a nice smoke-free environment to take it to to enjoy. read more

Horrible place.. cigarette smoke that simply ruins your hair, eyes, clothes. Also, not a mask to be seen. Not one staff member was wearing a mask, no customers were wearing masks - and if they DID walk in with a mask, they immediately removed it regardless if they were sitting at a table or the bar or roaming around the bar. We finished ONE drink and left because we were angered that as a business they are promoting the spread of a potentially deadly virus to apparently make a political statement.   They don't care about you, their customers, the rules, or even themselves. Came in earlier this week and wanted food. Tables were wet and was told it was the condensation from the air conditioning. So now came back at the end of the week and now there are metal buckets on the majority of their tables. The buckets are used for catching the dripping water that is coming out of more than 7 places that I counted. We came here to eat food and I can't believe that they think it's okay to serve HUMANS under these circumstances. Seems like a major health violation to me!! read more

My friend and I went into this bar last night. It was not busy so we sat at a table. It took us about 5 to 10 minutes for someone to acknowledge us.We were ok with this as we weren't sure if we needed to go to the bar so no big deal. We got a lady that came to the table to take our drink order.we did get our drink order pretty fast. I took awhile with food menu as I had a couple different options. The bartender finally asked if we were ready.so I went to ask him which appetizer he would recommend between the broccoli bites or the pulled pork wedges. He is like do you want broccoli or pulled pork. Thats not what I asked.he was probably mad I pulled him away from his conversation. Not friendly at all. I did order the Thai blt and pulled pork wedges. Food was good.the long islands I ordered were ok.my friend went up to order reeses shots. He was like no I dont know how to make them. He just walked away. My friend asked if she could find the recipe if he could make them. The bartender should have said that to her. Then we saw some people he knew come in and was very friendly with him. You would think during this time, you would want to maximize your tips and potentially have new regulars,I did not buy shots in there like I planned as I did not want him to get any more of my money. The food is awesome but because of the service,it will be awhile before I go into the bar. Which is a shame because the food is bomb.but I will get great food and drink elsewhere. read more

Carolina Mustard wings were awesome! Friendly service & Good beer. Smoking was allowed, but it wasn't a "Smokey" bar. We will be back!
