Such a great deal for the brides on a budget. From my understanding, the sale features unsold high-quality dresses that have been gently used for display or modeling. Store: the store was organized and clean but surprising a little small. All the dresses for the sale were tucked in a corner and grouped by level of modesty and style. Overall, I think the experience turned out great for my first wedding dress fitting. My feedback for the team is that I felt overwhelmed at the beginng of the selection process. As a first time wedding dress shopper, a couple of staff members kept asking me what kind of dress I was looking for and seeing if I needed any help with picking out 5 dresses to try on for the first round of fitting. It could have been just their standard protocol to rush or move along the selection process as quickly as possible so they could take their time with the actual dress fitting step. My recommendation is to let one associate lead the intro process and set up a comfortable length of time (about 5-8mins) to let them browse first. This will help make it less overwhelming. Then after the 5 dresses are selected, other staff can come in to help. During the fitting, I had a great time being asked about my vision and plans for the wedding to help keep the whole fitting process light hearted and fun. I would recommend BC if you're on a budget friendly bride.

I loved it even more after they showed me how it would look with added sleeves -- I was told they could be sewn on, which sounded perfect. However, when I came in for alterations and explained exactly how I wanted the sleeves attached, I was disappointed to find that they were still clipped on in the front. Only the back was sewn, and the front clips came off almost immediately -- just like they did in the beginning. Sadly, one sleeve actually popped off while I was walking down the aisle, which really impacted our ceremony and made me feel uncomfortable on such an important day. I also had a very poor experience with the front desk staff. The woman I interacted with was unfriendly and didn't seem suited for a customer-facing role. She didn't know the prices for the veil and accessories, and I was ultimately overcharged. When I mentioned the price was different than what I'd been told, she simply said, "Well, that's what you have to pay," which was frustrating and unprofessional. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this place -- especially now that they only sell dresses. With my experience, it just wasn't worth the money or the stress.

When I met with the planners at the church, they shared with me the Wedding Policy which included some tips for brides on modesty. In it, there were three websites for examples of modest wedding gowns, which I found very helpful. One of the websites was for Moments Made. I was surprised to see how many of the dresses I loved on their website! However, I was bummed to see they were not local to Arizona. But fortunately for me, I travel to Salt Lake City often for work and already had a trip planned there. I was SO excited to book an evening appointment at Moments Made while I was there for work. I went in on a Tuesday evening and pretty much had the entire place to myself. My consultant, Amber, was SO helpful. She made me feel like a princess, ensured she had a grasp of what I was looking for. And luckily, I had already obsessed over the website enough where I had about 8 dresses picked out. We tried on many of them and (as I'm sure happens with most brides), the one I thought would be the top contender wasn't really jiving with me. Towards the end of my appt, I was torn between two dresses. Amber was patient with me and allowed me to try both on again and spend quite a bit of time in each. She even dressed me up with a veil, had me hold flowers, put on jewelry, etc. It really helped to be able to see the whole look come together. What I appreciate most is how thoughtful she was in helping me narrow it down. She could tell I was very torn and I didn't have any family or friends present with me to help make the decision. She asked me "What do you NOT like about each dress?" I told her for Dress #1, I didn't like that it was sparkly and it was a bit too heavy. For Dress #2, I told her that I didn't like that it was V-Neck (I wanted sweetheart) and I wanted it to have a tad fuller of a skirt for an A-line dress. Very quickly, she was able to show me that Dress #2 could be altered to make it sweetheart and also add layers underneath to make it a fuller skirt. On the contrary, it would be pretty impossible to remove the sparkles off of Dress #1. And just like that, I had my answer and was able to to say "yes" to the dress! Amber also helped me to try to find a local seamstress in Arizona (I ended up going with someone else, but still appreciated her going out of her way). She also picked out a veil and earrings for me that looked really nice. I figured "Oh well I'll buy them and probably end up getting something else later on." But sure enough, those were the earrings I ended up wearing on my wedding day! I also got a store credit for buying the dress and was able to buy some nice sweaters while I was in store as well. Surprisingly, as someone who is very fickle (especially with fashion), I am shocked to say that I purchased my dress in October, got married in June and NEVER once did I waver on purchasing this dress. It was so perfect for me and I got so many compliments on it. I look back at the pictures now and feel like it is a timeless, classic dress. I felt so beautiful in it and am very grateful to Amber for helping me narrow down the perfect dress for my big day!

I came here, looking for a veil only. Originally, they were not even going to let me try on my dress with the veil because I did not purchase my dress there. We tried to be understanding, but there was literally nobody else in the store that could've possibly seen my dress. We even asked if we could just try it on in the fitting room so that no other customers would be able to see it if they came in. The girl working went and asked the owner and she made an exception, Which we were very grateful for. But then my veil was ordered wrong:( I was very in love with one veil, but the length of another. They told me since it was the same designer they could basically combine the two. We double triple quadruple checked and they reassured us. It was possible. I even checked over text message, They reassured me again. It would be correct. My veil showed up indeed, NOT correct. They didn't really take responsibility. They blamed the website for the error. I kind of expected since it was a designer for them to call or message the designer directly, to be entirely positive since I was told it had never been done before. The only options to fix it that were given to me, were basically to receive a refund, take the incorrect veil home or purchase a new one. No discount was offered. No compensation. Mind you, I waited 4 weeks for my veil which I know is awesome turn around time. BUT I did let them know that my wedding was very soon, and they assured me the correct veil would arrive in time. Now I am practically out of time, with no veil. Again, the store is very pretty from what I saw, they have beautiful dress dresses. But I am a little annoyed at their lack of accountability and problem-solving.

In my mind, you don't have to make changes to a dress you invented - you have to make changes to a dress that you copycat so you don't get in trouble from the original designer. After all of this, she told us we would still have to pay a $50 fee even though we showed up an hour early, and weren't interested in anything. Mind you, there was no one in the store other than us. I have never written a yelp review before, but this interaction put a bad taste in my mouth & tainted what was supposed to be a good experience. First of all, I called at maybe 3:30 on a Saturday to see if I could just come in and look around. They told me they had availability at 4pm. They closed at 5pm, but I had no idea until it was well past 5 and I asked them what time they closed. They did not rush me at all! I was a little back and forth on my top dress. Plus my mom wasn't there, and she wouldn't let me commit to it without her there. They were totally understanding and let me schedule another tentative appointment that next Monday. (They even let me FaceTime my mom and take pics of the dresses I had on). When Monday morning hit, my mom wanted me to try on some other options, so we hit another shop before going back to The Bride's Shop. I found a dress I absolutely fell in love with, but wanted to try on that first dress again just to be sure I could commit. Before we could even head back to the Bride's Shop, they called me and asked if I wanted to come back in, and had the dress ready to go when I got there! My mom, however, spotted the same dress I fell in love with at the first store, and they let me hop from one dress to the other as many times as I wanted in order to decide. Highly recommend. If you want quality and a sensible business owner who actually honors their product, don't use The Ritz Tuxedos.
