If I could give 0 stars I absolutely would!!! PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE don't ever trust this place to be professional. I had to take some time to calm down and not be so angry before writing this review because I wanted it to be factual not emotional.
In late March my daughter and I went to iDry to talk with a stylist about a partial updo for Prom in May. My daughter had a picture of the hairstyle and Ashley the stylist did a trial and we booked it that same day with her. She took all our information and told us that we would be receiving an email and text confirmation that day as well as the week of the appointment, both of which we did receive. The appointment was for 11 am this morning and the grapevine location is only 10 minutes from our home, but it was raining this morning and traffic was bad so we called to let them know we would be there by 11:05 instead of 11:00. When we called, the woman who answered the phone asked us if we had an appt and I said yes, and that it was booked over one and a half months ago. She then proceeded to tell me that the blowout bar has been closed for the past two weeks, and I asked her why we didn't receive a call to let us know that, AND that we received BOTH an email reminder AND text reminder of the appt! I honestly still believed that Ashley would be there when we arrived because I knew that she and iDry had our contact information, and what professional buisness could know about this and not let their clients know????????!!!!!!
Obviously this is not a professional buisness.
My daughters and I all go to Mouton's Salon in Grapevine and they are truly a professional salon! The only reason I chose this joke of a place iDry is because my daughter wanted to be closer to home because she also had a makeup appt in town center and Mouton's would be 25 minutes from home. I cannot tell you all enough how places like iDry have no professionalism at all! The lady who was there working didn't even apologize! She instead said that she didn't do it, and I said if this was an actual professional buisness place, they would know how important it is to communicate to clients especially something as COMMON SENSE as looking at all upcoming and future appointments to let them know that you will be closed indefinitely. Finding out when you get there, seriously?!?!?! I am a buisness owner myself and this is just common sense...please do not patron stores like this...there are too many other options that are actual professional businesses that respect, care for, care about and look out for their clients! This place is the absolute worst ever!
I can tell you that the one lady that was there getting her eyebrows done started yelling at me so the kind of people who patron them do not seem to be the kindest either. I didn't say one word to her, and I was standing with my daughter who was so sad because she was supposed to be getting her hair done for prom and instead we have no appt, no backup (no one should ever need to think about a backup if they are a reputable, honest, real salon). This could have been so easily handled...LOOK AT YOUR FUTURE APPOINTMENTS IN YOUR COMPUTER, AND CALL EACH AND EVERY CLIENT, AND LET THEM KNOW AS SOON AS YOU KNOW YOU ARE GOING TO BE CLOSED, THAT YOU NEED TO CANCEL THE APPOINTMENT...oh and also, USE THE STUPID REMINDER TEXTS AND EMAILS TO ALSO SEND ALL THE CLIENTS AN EMAIL AND TEXT LETTING THEM KNOW THAT YOU ARE HAVING ISSUES WITH YOUR LOCATION AND WILL BE CLOSING THE BLOWOUT BAR TILL THE ISSUES ARE RESOLVED!!!!!!!!
YOU FREAKING HAVE EVERYONES PHONE NUMBER AND EMAIL....there is ABSOLUTELY NO EXCUSE FOR PUTTING IS OR ANYONE THROUGH THE STRESS, FRUSTRATION, SADNESS AND TEARS THAT YOU PUT US THROUGH THIS MORNI G!! Shame on you all, The owner first and foremost, Ashley, the stylist and person we made the appointment with, the woman who was working that morning, and the one client that was getting her eyebrows done who felt like she had any right whatsoever ever to talk to me about taking time away from her appointment. I went back in to let her know why I was upset and that yes, when there is only one person working and it's 11:05 and we had an appointment from 11-12:30 pm, that it's my time too. I have every right to be able to talk to someone and it's not my fault they don't have a front desk person or manager or anything! She is the only one working and representing the store. I will never say this place is a reputable salon, NO ITS JUST A STORE FRONT with no real stylists or knowledgeable staff or owners. Save yourself the heartache and go to real places of beauty!
