I got the Choccy cold brew but switched the cold foam to strawberry and it's delicious -food came not too long after. The pulled pork grilled cheese and garlic fries were amazing! My husband got a salad and loved it. Only problem was they gave tomatoes when he requested for them to be removed but he was ok with moving them out. We also got a potato appetizer with cheese. Wow! This is a very popular place. Arrived around noon on a Saturday and almost every table was full. There were about 12 people waiting in line to place an order so I figured food must be great. I've heard this place gets crazy packed so I went on a Saturday at 9 AM and luckily there weren't many people yet. I tried the breakfast egg rolls which were perfectly crispy and so flavorful. The salsa they come with isn't spicy but has more of a tangy taste. It was delicious. I tried their jalapeño chicken and waffles as my entree and again the chicken was perfectly crispy and juicy. The jalapeño wasn't overpowering so there wasn't an issue with spice. I also tried their cold brew with SF vanilla and oat milk. The coffee was incredible. I thought their prices were appropriate. They also have a drive through and pastries to choose from. Got together with family for breakfast. I was a first timer. Loved it! You order when you walk in. They have a breakfast menu, brunch and lunch menu. They also serve coffees both iced and hot with lots of flavors as well as matcha and teas. I had an iced cinnamon roll latte. So good! I also had the breakfast classic which included eggs, ham, potatoes and small pancakes. Also very good! Don't let the long line deter you; it moved quickly and we were able to find a table outside with a lovely view of the country side. Have been customers of the Blockhouse for years. Noticed today that while the prices remain steady, the serving sizes have gotten much smaller. The size of a latte cup has shrunk. See photo. Biscuits and gravy don't have enough gravy. When we asked for more, we were charged for a side. Omelette size has also shrunk! Disappointed in the recent changes. $60 for three small meals. Great way to start 2025. My first time to St Hedwig and this adorable place, but definitely not my last. We started with lemon blueberry bread, because breakfast should always have an appetizer. It was perfection on its own, but even better with coffee. I got the huge breakfast sandwich, which was served on a sturdy toast with thick, crispy bacon, cheese, and an egg that broke when I cut into it; so, so delicious! I was told about this place thru a mutual friend. Maria and decided to go and check it out. I also invited my family, cause they are lasting we don't invite them. We got to this restaurant and noticed they have plenty of parking and a drive thru. They have two entrances, front and back. The back has a patio, which is nice. Games and a swing to chill on. The back patio has about 6-8 tables. Once you get in, you'll have to go to the counter to grab a menu and place your order there. The line does get long sometimes. After you order and pay, you'll get a number, find a table and the employees will bring your drinks and food. I got the brisket hash with two eggs on top. A London fog tea. Very delicious. Maria got the classic breakfast, scrambled eggs, bacon, potatoes and a biscuit. Also a coffee. We've been here twice now, and will continue to come. We want to come for lunch one day. Let's start with service. No server, you order at the counter and yet they still want a tip for doing nothing but punching buttons on computer. Gimme a break, that's dumb Wait time: way too long seeing we were the only ones in the restaurant. But now i see why there was no one there. Now to the most important. The food. It was horrible. The bacon tasted like it was frozen and microwaved before thawed. I took 2 bites and wasted the rest. We happened to go on a very busy Sunday and were amazed how quickly we were served. As you'll see by the pictures, everything was cooked to perfection--eggs benedict and chicken fried steak with gravy and eggs. I was really looking forward to my visit to The Blockhouse, but unfortunately, what I witnessed completely ruined the experience. During a busy lunch rush, an older man--who appeared to be the manager or owner--came out and loudly scolded the cashier in front of everyone. It seemed to be about a billing issue, but the way he handled it was completely uncalled for. Yelling at a young employee in front of a packed restaurant isn't just unprofessional--it's humiliating and unacceptable. The poor girl looked stunned and uncomfortable, and honestly, so did the rest of us. If this is how the staff is treated, it makes you wonder what the work environment is like behind the scenes. I believe in supporting businesses that value and respect their employees, and sadly, this wasn't that. I won't be returning. read more

When you first walk in, you grab a menu and stand in line to order. No issues there from the restaurant itself. I always order a basic breakfast when trying a new place for breakfast. Here we go. I ordered the classic breakfast, scrambled eggs, toast and bacon. My wife ordered the eggs Benedict. My potatoes were the Sysco classic garbage, eggs coloring was way too even, not real eggs. Bacon was cold and they have 48% whipped vegetable oil "butter". Eggs Benedict, came with no hollandaise sauce, when my wife asked for more, they said she had to pay for it. We stopped in on a friends suggestion - it's a bit out there in the middle of nowhere, but it was beyond relaxing. It's a calm, serene little breakfast nook with friendly service - great views - and wonderful food. I'm a coffee snob and this coffee was some of the best I've ever had. I got a seasonal chocolate orange one - definitely ask what their seasonal flavors are when you stop in! You order at the front and then sit and they bring it to you. It was our first time here. I came with a lot of hype for this local restaurant. We got here at 12:30pm on a Sunday. There was seating and we didn't wait long to order and sit. When we were done at 1:45pm the place had pretty much cleared out. Ordered the Chicken Fried Steak sandwich and the Shrimp and Grits. The chicken fried steak was about a 1/4 of the actual chicken fried steak platter. The meat was a bit tough and you couldn't really bite it. There wasn't gravy on it so we asked for some on the side and it was really watery. So there probably was gravy when we got it, but it most likely soaked into the bread. The chips were homemade. The shrimp and grits were good and flavourful. But I only got 4 shrimp. A little bit disappointing for a $16 plate. The sweet tea was nothing to write home about. But I appreciate that they bring you a carafe of water and leave it on the table. There is an outdoor patio with is great! But that just invited about 4 flies to hover around our table. I know that's not the restaurant's fault. But I felt it should be mentioned. And the staff wasn't in a good mood... We will be back for breakfast to give it a second chance. read more
