Delicious! Stopped by on a Friday night based on a friend's recommendation. The dining room was packed so we opted for takeout. So glad that I did. It took a fraction of the time and was simply amazing. I ordered a half portion of the ground beef nachos and a half portion of the chicken fajita nachos. The taste was excellent. Loaded with cheese, beans and meat and was made with firm chips that had a great crunch to them. Also included were shredded lettuce and tomato, guacamole, and sour cream. Two kinds of salsa were included in the bag, and spicy creamy, green one and a red one. My favorite was the green one. It has a serious kick so be careful when eating on dry chips. Sprinkle it on top of food, and it blends nicely. I highly recommend this restaurant and look forward to dining inside one day soon. read more

We hadn't been here before and with family in town we're looking for a good Mexican restaurant not too far away (we're in a bit of a rural area). We found this place and it had good reviews so we decided to give it a try. We were surprised that the restaurant was as large as it was - it was pretty full at lunch time. The staff was prompt and courteous. The chips and salsa that they bring out was good. The chips were typical restaurant chips - not bad not great. They bring a trio of salsa. One had some heat and had a bit of 'Smokey' flavor to it; the second was a guacamole based salsa; and the third was a bit sweeter. All three were actually good, but none were a flavor I'd write home about. Our party of three had the following: A taco salad. The bowl was crisp and had a good flavor while not being greasy. The beef fajita meat had a very good flavor to it. The guacamole, lettuce, cheese and beans were all 'typical'. The tomatoes were not to my liking as served - they put 6 slices of tomato in the salad; once I cut them up a bit they were fine. The cheese enchilada plate (and a puffy taco) was quite tasty. The puffy taco had a very good flavor and were well prepared. The cheese enchiladas were prepared well and tasted good. The rice and beans were actually quite flavorful, which is often not the case with many Mexican restaurants. The tortillas were warm, fresh and a bit thicker. Good food. The barbacoa plate was a mixed review. The beans and rice were, as already mentioned, very good. The tortillas were also good. The barbacoa meat was a disappointment - it really had no flavor which was really surprising. I would not order that again. Overall, good food. I would go back again for lunch or dinner. Since the restrictive requirements of covid have relaxed, I have visited CV a few more times. I believe the nationwide hiring issue is impacting this brand. Slow service on each occasion, cold food, dirty floors, etc. place is loved by the locals, which is great, but the staff can't support a full house or even half a full house. I've experienced both. This is the worst Mexican Food we have ever eaten. No flavor in the beef tacos. No seasoning just hamburger meat and cheese. The cheese enchiladas were just horrible. Again no flavor. The refried beans total blah. And the only thing about the rice is that was fluffy. But still not taste no flavor. The only thing good was the lettuce. The tomato was even not ripe. I've been here a few times and I leave highly satiated, the service is always fantastic, their drinks are so delicious, the restaurant is quite spacious and clean. My favorite dish is the three cheese enchiladas with chicken. I don't leave feeling heavy from the meal, it's almost hard not to lick the plate. My second favorite dish is the appetizer street tacos, I will typically eat it as a meal and they are the best street tacos I've had in years. 100/10 would recommend, great for family's or even big parties from what I've seen as well. read more
