Having spent some time in the east we have high expectations when someone touts their pizza and subs, unfortunately we were not thrilled by the food or our experience. Food was OK. Cheesesteak sub was dripping in grease and oil, far too much of the these. Pizza had flavorless crust and had its share of grease, and not the "good grease" kind. We've been in twice and both times the service was horrible! The first time one guy was taking orders and a couple younger workers were running around "slopping" food together. The last time, and I mean the very last time we'll ever come in, there was a line with one guy taking orders and only one young guy throwing food around. Another guy (the owner?) stepped out from the back, saw everyone waiting, but then turned around and went in the back again. We got got out of line and left without even trying to order. These guys need a system to quickly take orders and some quality control over the food. Without that they likely don't know the number of customers they lose and will continue to lose. The easy coast attitude of "leave if you don't like it" is fully at work here, and people like us will continue to leave. read more

Have eaten here a few times since they changed hands and the food has been pretty good. Picked up a pizza last night and was pretty disappointed. It hadn't been cooked long enough and the crust was partially raw. It's weird because they weren't overly busy for a Sat night so I don't understand why the pizza was undercooked. I was contacted by the owner after he saw my review. He offered to give us $10 credit to try his place again. So tonight we ordered a pizza from them to pick up. Plenty of toppings which was a big plus. The people inside were very helpful and friendly. Pizza was good, definitely better than our original visit. I have been here several times to carry out. They know how to make food that makes your tummy feel good. Calzones are delicious. The Sicilian style pizza is the best. I haven't tried anything else because these two options are so good. I never thought to write a review until I read one that wasn't great. I decided something had to be done. I don't understand the bad reviews here. I'm new to the area from New Hampshire and haven't been able to find a good pizza place until now! I thought service and great was very very good. The pizza dough and sauce was outstanding. The cheese isn't like other pizza cheese, it's so much better. If you left a bad review maybe give them another chance and revise your comment cause the older guy (I'm assuming he's the owner) is super nice. We were on the hunt for a quaint, Italian joint. We didn't want fancy, over-stated Italian rather more like Italian food from the East coast. We arrived and were greeted with smiles and encouraging menu recommendations from the staff. We noticed the Steelers banner on the wall and asked if the owner liked the Steelers. They told us that the owner is from Pittsburgh and this made us extremely happy. The food tastes like home (I'm from near Pittsburgh and my partner has lived there). We ordered pasta this time and it was delicious. Next time, and there will be many, we will try the pizza or Stromboli! read more

Yum. Really good pasta with fresh baked bread. We had spaghetti with meat sauce and eggplant Parmesan. Oh, and you must get the garlic knots! I'm from Chicago and it's very rare to find a great neighborhood Italian place like this one. Highly recommend! Big portions! Simple and well done. read more

I don't normally give reviews but ever since I moved back to Loveland and had Blockys I have not had good experiences. I recommend their food. Very good definitely went up in price but everything is so I understand. BUT the staff. Oh wow, awful. Specifically two or three employees that just don't give me at least "okay" service. Both of the tall blondes that work here didn't acknowledge me when walked in and the only one in line. Continued having their conversation. Seemed inconvenienced. The experience was not the best and then I went in again today. One of the blondes and a shorter woman again didn't acknowledge me in line and I waited for several minutes to be helped. Another woman then came behind me and asked for service. Again, both seemed VERY inconvenienced. I got a piece of pizza with jalapeños and cream cheese on it. Not sure who made it out of the two women but I had just a pile of cream cheese and jalapeños I'm the middle of the slide not spread out. It just sucked. I have been going here for quite some time and Sam is still here and still does amazing service so thank you Sam for when I do go in and your there! I like this place. Great atmosphere, good pizza, calzones, sandwiches, super yum. It reminds me of an old school pizza place. Every time I go in there, there seems to be more and more people in there. I really hope they make it because I really like their cheese slices, and restaurants at that location have struggled. Two slices (1- cheese & 1- pep) and a drink was like 11.00s. Pizza was decent, but way overpriced. I'll go to Arte' instead for 2X more food and tastes better. Sorry Guys, but you charge way to much for a couple slices. I've been twice and remember thinking the first time or it was overpriced. The second time just re-enforced my thoughts. While Blocky's is attempting to make a name for themselves with their wide selection of pizzas, I think they should focus on the quality of their sub sandwiches because they are phenomenal! I ordered the tuna melt one day last week and it was far more than enough for my lunch and dinner. With one of Blocky's side salads and drink, it was plenty of food and reasonably priced. We've been to Blocky's a few times now, and have enjoyed it each time. We've had their Margarita Pizza - great crust and tasty toppings; Blocky Steak sandwich - homemade bread and hearty filling; Chicken and Bacon Rigatoni - total comfort food; Garlic Bread Knots - you must try these; and of course Lasagna - amazing and filling. Many of the meals come with homemade bread. We look forward to trying different items when we visit again. This restaurant is clean, with laid back and friendly staff. Come hungry. read more

Garlic knots are second to none. Perfect buttery garlicky dripping Parmesan.....I can't find the words to explain this heaven. Cannoli are small, but hit the spot. The hot & spicy with the jalapeños is excellent. The jalapeños have their seeds so be ready for a little heat. No more other pizza places for me. I will only order here from now on. read more

On Friday, we decided to try Blocky's after reading the reviews.... I had the turkey sub, which was very good.....and My husband had a slice of Pepperoni pizza... It was very greasy and he blotted the grease off with several napkins... Then we noticed....the guy preparing the orders, was wearing rubber gloves, which is a GOOD thing...then we noticed the BAD thing...he was also running the cash register, without taking his gloves off...then going back to preparing orders with the same germ infested gloves on!!! Had we noticed this before we ordered...we would have left. The owner was making pizza, however we didn't notice weather he was wearing gloves or not.... We won't be back! read more
