I can only speak for a GoldBelly order. The pizza arrived on time and instructions were easy to follow. I ordered the sampler which included: deluxe, begger, and pepperoni. The deluxe is the first pizza I baked and it was VERY GOOD. I loved the large sausage pieces and the crust was pretty good too. I will say if I am ever in the area I would definitely visit the restaurant. I figure if you can ship a pizza and it taste good, the in store version has to be just as good or better. I did place the other 2 in the freezer, so I will see how that goes once I decide to bake them. read more

A 14" Hawaiian pizza should not cost $40. It is just insanity. We called in and picked up our order, so there was no delivery app up-charge. Raw in the middle. I ordered from this place in the past and they had amazing pizza but when I ordered a couple of months ago it was raw. When my friend came to visit from California in October I took her to panhandlers and she loved it so much that she took some back to California. Today she worked hard to order me one of their pizzas and when it came it was raw in the middle and so was the cookie. I am sickened. I tried to cook it in the air fryer and the microwave but the dough remained raw. read more

Very good pizza! I saw the sign for this place as I was shopping at Joanns Fabrics on College. It said open since 1973 so I gave it a try. I got a cheese pizza with thin crust (their normal style is deep dish). Very well seasoned pasta sauce. You can see the herbs in it. Nice amount of cheese. I especially liked the extra flavorful Parmesan cheese they seemed to have sprinkled around the edges. For a quick lunch, next time I will try the deep dish pizza sold by the slice. I moved away years ago, but I always dropped by the old Elizabeth location when I had a chance because of how much I loved Pan's when I was in high school, way back in the day. I was so pumped when I learned it had relocated with the same recipes. Dropped by the other day, and was so HAPPY! It tastes as good as I remember. Let me clarify, it tastes as good as I remember it was on the good days! It's a zesty sauce, with better cheese than you get on the standard delivery pizza guys. I usually order by the slice, but it looks like you can get whole pies if you have the time and inclination. Pan's was never a high-end joint and it isn't now, but it's pizza is delicious and it's concrete floor is good enough for dropping in and grabbing some slices. This should be a 4 or 5 star review, because the quality of the ingredients and heft of the pizza itself seemed to be well worth the $40+ cost of a deluxe pizza. What makes it a 3 star review is the safety of the food and the response from the restaurant. This was my first time eating at Panhandlers, after having come highly recommended from a friend. The pizza dough was significantly undercooked, which was disappointing to discover. I reached out to Panhandlers the day after I picked it up and the supervisor I spoke with told me I'd hear back from them within a day or so. I heard back from them and they took care of me. She apologized for the disappointment and explained how this is uncommon, but can happen during busy times, which is understandable. After that, now I'm excited to give them another try! I have been ordering pick up weekly for about six weeks. Each time, the pizza has been excellent and the service friendly. One time they screwed up and failed to make my pizza but since I have had nothing but good experiences. The house pan pizza is rich, spicy, and filling. The Detroit style is almost too much of a good thing (went with pepperoni and sausage) and it was so good I ate more than I should. The overstuffed feeling was worth it. read more

What a bummer.... Had so many memories at Panhandlers on Elizabeth from back in my college days so I was excited to share with my son while visiting the area. This new location lacks any ambiance whatsoever. Just very basic and generic interior. Empty uninviting layout. The pizza slices (only 2 - one cheese and one pepperoni) were old and dry looking so we asked how long it would be for fresh slices. We were told 15-20 minutes, it actually ended up being 28 minutes until new slices came out. Taste was okay but we had to ask for silverware and napkins and a side of ranch dressing. The girl at the front counter had zero personality whatsoever, just a blank stare. Just really a bummer. Used to be such a cool hangout. Now it's just poor service and unmemorable. read more

Pan's 2.0! Pan's is back! Cheapest and best lunch in town, a meal-sized slice for just $4! They opened the new store a mere week ago, and so I'm giving a solid 4 stars to start. For those new to the area, this pizza place was a Fort Collins institution for over 30 years until the "old Pan's" closed last fall. The owner retired after the building it was in was sold to be developed. But, a former manager of his bought the brand and recipes and saved a few things from the old location. The reopening has taken a lot longer than was originally foreseen, which caused some concerns for us. However, after going there for lunch the second time today I say that I'm pretty confident they've got the pizza right!! Rejoice, Pan's fans! There are definitely glitches and service snags they are still working out; it's not a well oiled (or adequately stocked or staffed) machine yet, and those coming by need to have patience. I say this not to discourage, but to encourage - they got the pizza right, and I think they are trying hard to adapt to the reality of not only finding their footing with a new business, but one that already had fans and expectations. Love the pizza, but it does not come at a cheap price. A small pizza costs the equivalent of a large pizza from most places. I would not say that it's the best pizza in Fort Collins, but it is certainly one of the best. Ordered a small pepperoni and a small deluxe and they were both delicious. Not sure how anyone who has lived here for any period of time can give this place anything other than 5 stars. Best tasting and quality ingredients in this whole pizza town, hands down. If you're looking for a takeout pizza for chowing down at home, this is the place!! While they did mess up on one of my orders, forgetting to use the Chicago sauce, they made it right by giving me a heap of that wonderful, garlicky sauce to add myself, plus a $25 gift cert to top it off. If you like actually having food that has spices for taste, you will love this sauce. Most people in FC probably won't appreciate this, as most FC restaurant foods are either fried or spice-less!! I had also asked for extra cheese on both, not sure that was done, but after tasting, I didn't even miss it! I did not think the interior of the new joint matched the atmosphere of the old college hangout, was pretty uncomfortable and generic. As Detroiters who moved to Fort Collins in 2018, we're familiar and happy with pizza that's a little crustier than some of the places in town we've visited. We went to Pan's for the first time tonight (pandemic: we didn't go out a lot for the last couple of years). Happiness for dinner tonight. This was like a hybrid of Buddy's, Cloverleaf and Green Lantern. A nice thick crust with a good crust to sauce ratio, and abundant fresh toppings and loads of cheese. The sauce is not too sweet which is great in a good pie. A person who was probably the owner provided us with extra happiness. All around a good experience and we look forward to coming back. read more
