The location off timberline and harmony was honestly a let down. It was my first experience and the entire lobby was packed full of kids and they were friends of most workers just hanging out and getting food. I noticed during 3 other guys the kids were being helped the most. Bro like how does a pizza take 30 minutes to make. It was my lunch break and it just sucks that it was wasted and also some kid working hanging out with others was saying "i dont care for this job" so he definitely was just hooking them up with all tons of food. I would happily take uncooked lunchables pizza, or my middle school cafeteria food over this. To set the scene: we walk into an empty pizza store (should have seen the red flag) and waited 10 minutes to be 'helped'. The lady who took our order had a worse disposition than roz from monsters inc (yes the slug monster). We paid 40$ for cheesy bread and two pepperoni pizzas. During our grueling hour long wait, we saw two employees make out to the sweet serenade of shouting teenage employees. After addressing that we had been waiting for an hour they began our order... yes, began. Upon cordially addressing this we received no apology and were told to grab a free soda can. We bargained our way up to a liter soda. At least it's hot, fresh, pizza... I would have said if I was anywhere else. We opened the box after an hour and a half to see two depressing pizzas, the cheese falling off, the crust soggy and sticky, and more sauce than Fort Collins has bikes and beers. It tasted like when your five year old microwaves a crushed tomato and cheddar cheese on a stale tortilla. I do not exaggerate. I ordered the House Made pizza, it's a specialty. It has sausage, Pepe, Canadian bacon, onions, mushrooms, and green peppers . It features a hand made crust. And, oh mythe crust was light, and airy, but thick. It seemed like it was a special blend or way of cooking it, but the crust was amazing! I'll take the carb hit, it was That Good! I used to love Mama Roni's I've been a loyal customer for about 3 years, and I've watched the management change. The food isn't as good as it used to be, and the customer service is on the edge of hostile sometimes. I was munching on a Mama Roni's meal this eve while working on my computer. I brought a beer into the establishment, which turned out to be a huge crazy no-no. When it was noticed (I wasn't hiding it), I was told to leave. As I was unplugging my computer and gathering my things, a worker said loudly, "You must leave NOW." This was about 3 minutes after she told me to leave. All of a sudden I am a criminal. I have no rights to any respectful discourse. This is not the first time I've felt disrespected in this place. It's the first time I've brought an open beer into the place. You know those days when you've had a rough day and you're heading home and don't want to cook dinner. Mama Roni's is a place that I consider a go to for solving that problem. The pizza is good and usually well priced. I've now had two pretty severe negative interactions with thrier staff. The most recent incident involved me ordering online and the staff messing up the order. I spoke with the manager on the phone and tried to rslesolve the issue. The manager insisted I should have called to confirm the order was correct. Editorial note: what sense does that make? After a few laps around stupidity mountain I asked him who his supervisor was and if I could speak with him. He said, "I am. So someone forgot their job of putting the order in. That 10 minute distance includes stopping at both lights, waiting in heavy traffic and having to push the car the last 100 yds. Before we left Ft. Collins from visiting my in-laws over Christmas, we stopped at this Mama Roni's for a pizza lunch. My father-in-law had heard it was good, and he had some coupons, so we were all game (and I always enjoy trying pizza in other places when I am out of town). Unfortunately, we picked the location that is closest to my in-laws house but is largely a take-out business. They do have a few small tables for some folks, so we pulled a couple of those together and ordered two medium pizzas: all veggie and a sausage with mushroom pizza (my standard for checking out pizzerias). The pizza was very good, plain and simple. I would say it comes closest to a New York style, but actually is probably more of a combination of Midwestern and New York. Lots of gooey melted mozzarella, good toppings, and a nice tangy sauce. Oh yeah, the veggies were good, too, and appeared to be fresh. The sausage had a nice taste to it with a little bit of zip. Next time, we'll opt for the dine-in location on Timberline, but if you live closer to the Spring Creek location, do not despair. Just plan on taking your pizza home, or have it delivered. Wanted to break out of the blackjack rut we've been in for our Pizza delivery. We called Mama Roni's around 10:55 on a Saturday night it didn't arrive till about 12:20 but keep in mind it is a late night in a college town so i kinda expected this. and they did say it would be about an hour and 15 min, they where a little off with their estimate but like i said, late night, college town. The pizza here is a nice change, it reminds me of the pizza i used to get in the early 90's when i was a kid. They don't skimp on the cheese ether, nice think layer of cheese. Sauce was good and they didn't put too much on. The dough/crust was good but not amazing. It also made good left overs, some other pizza places' pizza gets gross after a few hours, this stays generally good after it sits out for a bit. The bread sick portions are crazy here, they gave us like 10 bread sticks in 1 order and they where huge. The bread was fluffy however coulda used more parmesan. The portion size is what really shines with the bread sticks though, if you had friends over you could feed half a party with this box. So I was pleasantly surprised by Mama Roni's on the corner of Stuart and Shields in Fort Collins. I called 3 times and no one picked up - which I thought was odd on a Saturday night at a pizza joint. 1 more time I told myself as I was driving home, exhausted from a conference. And boy was I glad I was persistent! I ordered the 12" calzone stuffed with mozzarella, ricotta, cream cheese, tiny little meatballs and jalapeños with pineapple. Not my usual kind of thing but man! Was this thing good. The jalapeños got a bit spicy after a while so I dug them out, but everything was fresh, hot, crispy, cheesy ooey gooey melted perfection. The sweet pineapple and cream cheese really offset the salty cheesy goodness to perfection. HUGE too! Served with tons of really good marinara. - And just so you know I lived in NJ for YEARS and am accustomed to NY style pizza so I'm fairly picky when it comes to pizza-ish foods, but this really was really good! I also got a pepperoni roll which was the size of my fist and cheap too. Like less than $2 bucks. It's a pocket of fresh hot baked pizza dough filled to oozing out the sides with ricotta, mozzarella and slices of pepperoni. Really good. I could very easily order just 2 of these, and call it a meal with an ice cold New Belgium beer. Also I got the Cheesy Ram Bread, which are 4 generously sized fresh breadsticks baked golden with tons of melted bubbly mozzarella cheese. As you can tell I ordered a little bit of everything so I could get a fair sense of how good this place really is.... Needless to say I am in a very happy carb coma on my couch right now. And even better yet, I had a $3 off $15 coupon, so this entire meal - which will easily feed me another meal and a snack tomorrow- only cost me $13 bucks and change... Big Thumbs Up!! So it was 1:45am on Sunday night... you know when nothing is left open but McDonalds and sub shops? I was still working on a paper and my boyfriend who works overnights woke up hungry, so I hopped on the internet to find late night delivery that wasn't subs. Mama Roni's popped up and in all the 12 years I've lived in Fort Collins I just drove right by the place. So I figured I'd try their Calzones, he wanted wings. We also got the parmesan bread twists. Delivery was faster than I expected! My Calzone was really good and even with it being a medium it was more than enough for tomorrow's lunch too. My guy loved his wings. He said they were nice and crisp and he liked that they weren't too saucy. The bread twists were really yummy and it was a huge order of them. I got a delivery pizza from here on Sunday. Not even a full two hours later I was vomiting uncontrollably and ended up in the ER. I got diagnosed with norovirus, this was the only food I ate so the doctor and I believed it was from here.
