A couple of days later I got a voicemail saying they refunded my haircut entirely! :o! I'm definetly in shock, they did not need to do this. That took away all my excitement from the haircut... I'm not a fan of these types of signs, they give you a false sense of something to look forward to. My stylist was Nicole. I really liked her, she talked me through the haircut and was very friendly. We decided to keep my hair long with layers. The bottom floor of the salon is where Lourna was stationed. I was promptly greeted by the staff and taken back to meet Lourna. At first I felt a little weird because we were in the men's barber room and secluded so I didn't feel like I was apart of the salon, but I came to quickly enjoy the appointment because of Lourna. She explained all the products she was using on me from start to finish. I liked that this salon has two kinds of products, Bumble and bumble and kerestase. She used the Kerestase products on me and I really liked how it felt on my hair. Her hair washing skills were AMAZING. The scalp massage she gave me was 10/10. Throughout the whole appointment, I didn't even notice I was getting my haircut because she was so gentle, even when blowing out my hair. I showed Kyle MULTIPLE pictures of the shape/style I wanted and specifically said I did not want my hair to have a choppy, V-shape. This is EXACTLY what I got. Immediately after leaving, I went to another hair stylist in an attempt to correct be disaster. Kyle thinned my hair so badly that the other stylist was shocked. While my hair was being colored, I was very uncomfortable because the two stylists were speaking about me in their native tongue. Even the color, which I was initially happy with, came out uneven in the back. Kyle seemed like a nice guy, but in retrospect, I should have refused to pay the $180 for this horrendous experience. I booked an appointment with James on a Thursday afternoon. I showed up promptly at 4 for my…read moreappointment and he got right to work. Usually, a haircut at my usual salon takes 1.5-2 hours. James took 35 minutes for a full wash, cut, and dry. While I have to admit it wasn't the most luxurious experience I'd still recommend others. First off, it's very reasonably priced. I don't think I've ever had a haircut for $32 in my life. That for a woman's haircut is unheard of. Secondly, James did everything in under an hour, which I appreciate given that I can just go during my lunch hour at work. All in all I think he really nailed down the cut that I wanted and when I had concerns he stopped to listen and reassure me that we were on the same page. I will definitely be coming back.
