I booked my stay through Expedia, which is supposed to be refundable. My booking clearly stated it. However, this place called me as soon as I booked and asked for my credit card number. I should have known this was wrong because they then charged me right away. I later wanted to use a different credit card and booking service, so I tried to cancel my Expedia reservation. Expedia couldn't do anything about the refund, and I didn't get any cash back credit for the stay because it showed as cancelled on their end. The male worker at the inn refused to let me get a refund on my original credit card. Once we were there, it was insufferable. Our room faced west, so keeping the windows open during the day time would warm the place up too much even with curtains closed. The room was severely stuffy no matter what we did. There's no air conditioning, but they provide a fan that doesn't give any relief from the sun's heat. The rooms aren't soundproof at all. I could hear people on the other side of the bathroom flushing their toilet. I also got sick when I was there and went to the front desk to ask for a bottle of water that should come with the room because we didn't want housekeeping. The front desk wouldn't give me one and said I had to wait till the next day and ask housekeeping myself because housekeeping was done. read more

Inn at the sea long beach washington. Very unhappy with our last stay at that hotel. My wife reported someone entered our room and was yelled at by the laundry lady. The manager on duty took forever to contact us. When she contacted us she pretended to care but did nothing for us. We were told they would report it to corporate. That's a sad joke. There is no way for us to contact corporate to follow up.. They are not allowed to give that number or email. Is frank hotel hiding from customers I don't know but seems kinda shady to me. All we wanted was someone to tell us they would look into the issue. It was all recorded on camera. I strongly suggest if you stay at their hotel. Bring an extra security lock for your door. At counter, she says 128.00 I said hotels.com says 89.00 so I book it. says room ready at 4pm. At 4 room still dirty. Gives new room with only one queen. She says all else sold out they just haven't Checked in yet. Well why not give us a new room & they can have ours. She did not want to give us a room at hotels.com price. I will never stay here again & will tell everyone what their customer service is like. Ridiculous. read more

This place is clean and the staff is friendly. The noise is loud but that should be expected. The walls are thin but the room is nice! Easy access to the beach and downtown beautiful Long Beach. I recommend staying here! read more

No breakfast even though the website says breakfast there was no water for a few hours with out warning the water was shut off during our stay we were charged for noisy dogs although we were "warned" one time and after that notice we were CHARGED 240$ for one time noise complaint. the cable is terrible maybe get one working channel during your stay our room door handle came COMPLETELY OFF! read more

I was insulted and treated rudely by the male at the front desk. He was very condescending, didn't care or apologize. It was pretty empty but they put me above their laundry room that they run very late, I had noise complaints both nights and nothing was don't the first time, the second time the woman at the desk was very kind and apologized. The only response in the message to the noise not being able to sleep was a . (Period.) nothing. He definitely needs to learn people skills or not interact with people. Inn At The Sea is a beautiful place to stay! The rooms are very modern, there's wifi, generous space and the beds are comfortable. There is a microwave and fridge and the tv worked great! They also left 4 bottles of waters for us, which was so nice! Not to mention, the room was spotless. The keypad to enter and exit the room was high tech, but simple to use. The two reasons why I gave a star off is because the floor would creak in quite a few places and the kitchen sink was outside the toilet. I personally like when I can close the door and do my morning routine in privacy. Overall, this is a great place to stay and the staff are great! read more

What a quaint little place. We booked a queen bed room for 2 nights. This little hideaway didn't disappoint us. Keyless entry was a little difficult to maneuver so hubs had to get a new code. Bed was sufficiently comfortable. The room was really nice and big. The only issue truly, was the guy looking for his cat well into the night. Priced just right for 2 nights. We had a horrible experience. I'll be finding a different place next time we head to Long Beach. 1. Do not plan on needing to speak with anyone at the hotel, regardless of time of day. You will be forwarded to an answering service who knows nothing and has no ability to make changes to the booking, fulfill requests, communicate about the property, or do anything beyond the initial booking. 2. Do NOT believe ANYTHING that ANY of the staff tell you. Get absolutely everything in writing. Although, I doubt they would stand behind that either. My husband and I booked a 2 queen bed room for us with our two dogs and it was exactly as described. (This was their only available room, with short notice.) The room was comfortable, clean and modern with a keypad entry (which you need to push a button on to lock when you exit). The bed was comfortable, there was a microwave and fridge, keurig machine with surprisingly good coffee and a large flat screen TV with HGTV, CNN, and the Discovery channel, plus a few movie channels so we had things to watch at night. This location is a half mile from the beach/short walk, next to a mini golf course, and just behind the main strip of shopping and restaurants. Extremely convenient location. The laminate flooring was practical for the sand you're likely to bring in...but could use an area rug for comfort. They even include a broom and dustpan, which was a nice touch. We chose the hotel knowing there weren't rugs, so it's not a complaint. A rug would cut down on noise from the upstairs room...which wasn't overly noisy, though they stayed up quite late so we did occasionally hear them dropping things and moving around. Heard nothing from rooms on either side. All around, a nice place to stay and we'd choose it again. read more

Horrible stay electricity flicked, called the emergency number twice to talk to them about the room above us since they were so loud. No one called us back . Told the front desk girl this in the morning and she laughed about it we asked to speak with a manger and she refused to give us any information. The hotel is clean, quiet and updated. The bed is comfortable with comfy and clean linens coffee is Kuerig maker. Read the small print. There was someone climbing the railing outside our room when he came over the rail he almost came through the window and smashed into the door. There was a stomper who stomped up and down and all around past midnight and at 6 am. At 7 same guy yelling and cussing Also a large rowdy crowd in the parking lot past midnight which the hotel can't control. But just buyer be aware it can be loud at times. I really wanted to like it more. But for the love of God, book an upstairs room or find somewhere else. It was very loud inside and could be loud outside too (tends to attract some very noisy families). We had an aspiring marathon runner child wearing boots (literal lap running) staying above us, and family and three dogs coming in and out all times of day and night. Like, a comical level of noise and sporting events going on up there. I'm assuming it would be an okay stay if we could sleep. Not sleeping for 3 nights puts a damper on things. I'm assuming the stay would be okay if the staff were a little more helpful and there was more insulation in the ceiling. read more

I booked a room, via Expedia, with free full refund due to the weather on the coast this time of year. When the weekend approached and the weather was poor I canceled my room and booked a different room inland..... This was a "pay when you arrive" yet the Inn billed my card 2 days prior to arrival and just AFTER I cancelled my reservation!!!!!! I've called and called Expedia and they have assured me that the Inn will refund me but it has yet to happen weeks later. Is this where you want to stay? read more

Got there at 5:30 pm on a Saturday, off season. Sign on the door saying, "Back in 10 minutes", waited 30. Decided to get food a block away. Walked back over (45 min total), still no one. Finally stopped by one last time, after about an hour and someone was there (was planning on sleeping in my car otherwise). When I mentioned I had been waiting for an hour, the "sorry" I got was flat and uncaring, like I had asked what day it was. Mattress hadn't been flipped for a long time, and was seriously broken-in such that I was sleeping at a slant. Finally, I pulled the sheets out and slept with my head at the foot of the bed. Around midnight, heard some people on the lower level, a few doors down talking, they weren't even talking loud - the walls are like paper and sound travels like there's nothing there. Fortunately the place was almost empty I couldn't imagine what it would be like if the place was full. They give you a complimentary water and ear plugs (!). Place feels super cheaply built and I guess ear plugs are their way of saying they care. The floors are vinyl, and if you've got any sand on your shoes (there's a beach a few blocks away, it just gets everywhere. Last place I stayed at that didn't have carpet was a flop house in Portland. I was on the 2nd level, at the end. During the night the wind came up and the walkway groaned quite a bit and it sounded like someone was walking outside the door (I know they weren't because I had a dog, and she didn't react). All in all, I wish I had slept in my car. read more

Only to find out 2 days before the stay that they had blacklisted me because I had the temerity to complain about their not following covid LAWS previously, and cancelled the reservation. Once I finished chuckling to myself, I booked at another nearby hotel, where I had also previously stayed with no such issues. Cheaper, has a great restaurant on site - I mean, what was I thinking? Thank you, Inn at the Sea! I mean, if you don't want my money. Kinda shooting yourself in the foot with this retaliation. It's cheap and clean. It's newly remodeled. IT IS THE LOUDEST hotel I have been in. The walls are paper thin. This hotel seems to attract families, which is fine. However, I have NEVER heard so many screaming stomping kids and screaming parents. I would ask for an upstairs room. The parking lot is behind a bar. There is NO view of the ocean. We stayed here to go clam digging to catch an early tide. I would rather save money and just drive. I'm not sure if it is the area or what. We had to get ear plugs just to sleep. I'm giving it 3 stars because it's super clean, but full of arguing families, kids knocking on my walls. It's not terrible, but I won't be staying here again and only really due to the noise. read more

BEWARE of this hotel's shady reservation booking practices. Booked one night for May 2024 through Hotels.com with the fully refundable pay at the property rate, which was $14 more than the base rate. Immediately got a message from the hotel saying I needed to give them a call and provide the address associated with my credit card so they could be sure it was "valid". I called and gave them the address, only to see they charged the card for the full amount 5 minutes after I hung up. They never mentioned they were going to run the card. I decided after that this was not a place I wanted to stay or do business with, so I canceled the reservation. Hotels.com sent a message that the room was canceled and the hotel was processing a refund for the full amount. They were not. When I messaged the hotel, I told them I canceled the reservation and asked them to process a full refund. They refused and responded that my reservation was not refundable. Had to file a dispute with Capital One to have them reverse the charge. BEWARE. read more

Management was terrible and the lady we spoke to at the front desk was insanely rude. they refused to send any maintenance to our room or let us speak to someone of a higher power, now come to find out they won't even return a call. Kind of sad if you ask me. If you want a cheap room that you can't even take a shower in then this is the place for you!! $110 for absolute garbage. The toilet doesn't even flush. read more

We were looking for good seafood on our jaunt to the coast, found it here in spades! Good wait staff too.

So, we were extremely excited to stay here. We actually drove about 3 hours from Seattle to visit this location. We booked a room with 2 queens and a twin. We arrive after traveling hours and we got into the room to find a queen and a couch. The couch turns out to be a pull out rickety thin mattress. Not 2 queens and a twin like we paid for. I go to the hotel receptionist. She tells me that Expedia definitely was at fault here. They advertised it as the wrong room. I get it, things happen. I ask for another room. There aren't any. I ask for a refund, she says I need to go through Expedia. At this point I'm exhausted, and I'm like alright. I will contact Expedia. I ask for extra pillows and blankets, because the only ones provided for the pull out mattress are rough couch decorative cushions. She hands me one pillow, a blanket or two, and maybe 10 pillow cases??? We make do for the night, annoyed and irritated. I call Expedia and they run me around trying to say I'm wrong. I provide my itinerary and photo evidence of the room. They change their tune, then send it to the "hotel" (more like a sad motel). The hotel responds and says they aren't refunding me because we stayed. Umm... you gave us no option. We genuinely feel swindled and ripped off. In addition to this, our view was of the dumpsters, where people frequently kept running out to go smoke/hide/who knows what else. The sea was actually about a mile away at least, and the TV stopped working at midnight. For the love of god, run! Do not stay here. As someone who works in the service industry with customers, a bit of consideration and customer service would have gone a long way here. You don't just tell someone they're right, tell them to request a refund then go back on your word. Extremely disappointing. read more

I'm pressed!! This room is 100% remodeled! Bathroom luxurious im looking forward to a hot bath. Its right behind to the side of marshs museum so very quick walk. The teenagers can go explore town. Definitely will be back. read more
