I just ate ice cream in the rain at Bloomfield. What a happy place! Great service with a smile. A big shout out for Alyce -- she was so sweet and friendly. She assured me that there were real vanilla wafers in the banana pudding flavor, and I had to go for it. There were huge chunks! Nilla wafers everywhere! I also got a scoop of cookies and cream. My man got a scoop of Michigan Cherry with Chocolate Chips. It was tart and delicious. The patio is adorable. Bloomfield Creamery offers edible cookie dough as well as ice cream. We didn't realize that it was both a regular ice cream scoop shop and a fro-yo place. We opted for the regular scoops today and actually each got one of the 50/50's, which if you don't know is a scoop of ice cream and a scoop of edible cookie dough. YUM! I had the peach cobbler ice cream and the birthday cake cookie dough. Each were incredible and the different textures went very well together. The prices were competitive with what ice cream places are currently charging, and I would definitely comes back again, as the flavor combinations are abundant. They are on the larger side and perfectly gooey with lots of chocolate chips. It's surprising how good they are because it looks like they just store them in the case by the register, but they are perfect when we get them. They go well with the ice cream options they have. Service is great, the workers in the front always give us their recommendations when we ask! I remember first coming here around 2023 sometime. Felt like it was the first time I had authentic and CREAMY delicious ice-cream! Not to mention, their cookie dough sealed the deal! The taste was so off-putting, it is still lingering in my mouth 30 minutes after consuming it and desperately drinking soda-water to get rid of it. I genuinely hope I don't get sick. The Mackinac Island Fudge reminds me of this persian brittle called Sohan. Add in the delicious chewy fudge , sooooo good! The Pistachio Saffron ice cream is a delicious version of a classic persian ice cream. With the Persian concentration in LA, You can find a variation of this classic so many places but this one is my favorite of them all! They add delicious pieces of cream as the classic style has and they just nailll it! The weather has been cooling down from this week's heat and there's nothing better than a late night ice cream run. I have my usual go-to places but decided to give this place a try after scrolling through some amazing photos of my fellow yelpers. The parlor is nestled alongside a small block and there was enough parking on the street aside from their private parking lot. Upon entering, I almost grabbed a few pints but really just wanted a few scoops straight from the bin. There were so many delicious flavors but I opted for the traditional cookies and cream, which will always be my nostalgic pick. My second choice was a maple pecan flavor and this was good. The pecan pieces tasted smoked and paired well with the creaminess of the ice cream. After devouring my cookies and cream, this was a treat. However, I wish there were more pecan pieces. We ordered the chocolate and vanilla frozen custard and dole whip (!!!). Anywhere that has dole whip earns an extra star in my book! Everything was delivered well packed and still frozen.
