I got the vanilla with the animal cracker and eggless cookie dough with rainbow sprinkles. (The number one) Service was great and very fast. They make everything in front of you and you can customize anything you like. The portions even for the small are huge! So definitely worth the $8. Get a lid and you have two days worth of frozen yogurt. Will definitely be back so yummy!

look yo I'm a broke student on a college meal plan right now who's SUPER stingy about money.... And I still went out of my way after work when I found out there's a 21 Choices fifteen minutes from me. I usually go straight back to UCLA after I finish working in Pasadena.... But I needed my froyo and this did it for me. It's literally cold stone and Yogurtland had a baby. And I even felt LESS guilty. LEARNING WITH THE BANANA FLAVOR WITH NO SUGAR ADDED. MY DIABETES IS HEALED YO. IT WAS SO DIVINE. I MIXED IT WITH ACTUAL BANANA AND CINNAMON TOAST CRUNCH. Like I actually shared a tear. The largest size was 10 bucks and it was completely worth it like I don't care. God I love sugar.

It was a very warm, sunny afternoon as I walked over to this area from my hotel to do some shopping. The frozen yogurt shop was a welcome sight. I ordered the milk chocolate and it was cold, creamy, chocolatey, everything I needed.

First time here and I was overwhelmed with all the deliciousness that I opted for one of the premixed choices rather than making my own. I got the number 5 and it was perfect, a mix of vanilla base, Nutella, caramel, cookie dough, and sea salt. They do have special flavors that are limited, one being matcha and I really want to try that next time. Service was great and I love how this is cross between frozen yogurt and a cold stones. You can build your own or choose a menu item premade. There was quite a line when I arrived but it does move quick. Only a few benches to sit inside otherwise it's more of a grab and go type of place.

Stopped by on Sunday, 07/06/25 for the first time at this location. I haven't been to 21 Choices in a very long time! Ordered the following: - 1 mix in choices = $8.75 - 1 medium mix-in = $9.75 TOTAL = $18.50 I got the orange dream frozen yogurt and topped it off with just fruits and a tint of fruity pebbles. This really fills you up!!! We waited around 15 minutes.

The finished product is delicious! This is my Reese's PB Brownie with Churro Ice Cream.

This is the best ice cream in Pasadena. The delicious soft serve ice cream here is made even better by the mix-ins done on a cold stone. There are 21 choices of recommended mix-in combinations, but you are always welcome to create your own. My favorites are #7 (Reese's PB Brownie), #14 (Rocky Road), and #21 (Elephant in the Trees). There is not much to this place, it's just a simple ice cream shop with limited seating. But, the ingredients are fresh and the finished products are super tasty. The staff works hard and they are friendly, so please tip well if you are pleased with their hard work. There is almost always a line out the door, but be patient because it's worth it.

Nice place, but can get busy. The line moved quickly. Workers worked fast to made your personalized creations. Rating: 4 stars

Cheesecake Yogurt with #18 Strawberry Nutella mix-ins, Vanilla Yogurt with #1 Circus Animal Cookies mix-ins

Rating: 8.7/10 Refreshing, creamy, (and to me, feels healthier than ice cream!)! Bf wanted to show me this place since he's been coming here since childhood. I've never had it before but was excited due to it being frozen yogurt bases instead of ice cream. 21 Choices is in the heart of Old Town Pasadena, where parking is limited. We parked at De Lacey Parking, where parking is only $1 for short periods of time (I don't remember exactly how long but maybe if under an hour). We walked about 5 min to get here. At around 7PM on a Monday night, it wasn't too busy and we were able to order right away. They have their regular yogurt bases (like vanilla and chocolate) but I wanted to try the cheesecake yogurt today. I chose the #18 Strawberry Nutella pre-set add-ins with Nutella, strawberries, and chocolate chips for a size small. The froyo was light but still creamy. The Nutella had been mixed in chunks, but I love Nutella so I loved biting into it. This combination in particular suits my taste a lot and the cheesecake yogurt matched perfectly! Size small was more than enough, and they put it into a medium cup for me as well so I had more space. Overall, I'd definitely come back on a hot day! Bf and I agreed that this place ranks higher for us than other local ice cream/froyo stores like Handel's, Salt and Straw, and Yogurtland. I can see myself coming here again for a delicious sweet treat!

Cute little frozen yogurt shop, it's always packed on the weekends. Staff is nice and helpful, been here a couple times during the night and they're out of strawberries. They also close early depending on the weather. If you would like any type of fruit go during the day or a day they're not busy. Sometimes they can overdue it with the toppings so beware.

Belgian chocolate ice cream with the Nutella truffle mix-in
    Carlo G.

Soft Serve ice cream with a cool concept and so many toppings to choose from! This ice cream shop has a similar concept to Coldstone. I was surprised at how well the concept would work for soft serve ice cream! How it works is you choose a 'Fresh Choice' or an ice cream base and then choose a 'Mix-In' or a group of topping mix-ins that will be combined with the ice cream flavor of your choice. When I went, the ran out of vanilla which was okay because my friend and I wanted the Belgian chocolate ice cream anyways. We chose to share a small size Nutella truffle mix-in with Belgian chocolate which was $8. It was a bit pricey for ice cream but the size was huge. I loved the ice cream combination we got! It was soft and smooth and the toppings were mixed well and added pockets of flavor and texture - it was delicious! However, even though we got the small size and I was sharing it with my friend, we could not finish it and ended up throwing the rest away. It would be nice if they offered a small size like a kiddie size since the portion was too big. Overall, this was a solid ice cream spot and I would definitely come back again to try the other combinations.

Oatmeal cookie (granola, cinnamon, cookie dough)

It's been a while since I had 21 choices but I'm so glad I decided to come here again! The line was super long when we went (we waited about 35-40 min) around 8pm, but I really wanted to get some ice cream so we decided to be patient. There were only 3 workers making orders so it was understandable for the long wait. When it was our turn to order, I got the oatmeal cookie with an extra ball of cookie dough. Their service was really good, everyone was friendly and chill! Ice cream was bomb and my bf and I demolished it right away!

This is a cute ice cream parlor to go to. The menu has nostalgic choices that bring back childhood memories. They're pretty clean and quick to get you your order so its good since it can get pretty busy. The place doesn't have much wiggle room for places to sit but its located in a walking area so you can easily find a spot nearby or just stroll around while eating your delicious ice cream.

    Special creation.

I would encourage anyone not to be afraid to pick something they've never had and sample flavors you have no clue about, they went above and beyond to sample the flavors as they would be if we ordered them, including the toppings. The Bronte Sisters. The Jacksons... You win free ice cream on me if you recognize the pattern. Yes, that's right: these are all siblings who have seamlessly worked together in their respective fields. I raise the list to include Mia and Mark Pedersen - the brother and sister team behind the ice creamery Moo Moo Mia with locations in both Montrose and Monrovia. You won't find Mia and Mark bickering or partaking in sibling rivalry; but you WILL find them creating quality, home made ice cream for Angelinos. Mark and Mia made their way from Denmark to Los Angeles in 2009 initially working in a Danish franchise despite both having a background in ice cream-making. When Covid hit in 2020 with its path of destruction to so many businesses; Mark and Mia decided they should cut their losses and create their own company that they can rely on their decision-making and thus Moo Moo Mia was born. Moo Moo Mia strives to produce Grade-A ice cream using crème de la crème ingredients such as milk from Scott Brother Dairy cows (another sibling company where cows roam free on 900 acres and are hormone free producing sensational milk) and offer unique flavor combinations. After a recent poor gelato experience at another LA business; my boyfriend and I decided to reward ourselves with ice cream from Moo Moo Mia on Honolulu in Montrose (this was our second time at this location). Nestled in the charming central Montrose corridor; Moo Moo Mia welcomes with a pastel color wheel façade/signage and a small square footage ice cream shop. When I say 'small'; I genuinely mean small as Moo Moo Mia is tiny with a display case/order counter and a claustrophobic standing room space with a few loose tables outside. This is definitely an "order and get out" establishment. Due to this congestion, Moo Moo Mia felt a bit hectic on both of our visits which always makes one feel guilty to ask for samples in order to not hold up the line. The flavor options at Moo Moo Mia aren't super extensive (there isn't that much to choose from) BUT there do have those unique combinations Mia and Mark boast of with pride. I have sampled a few flavors at Moo Moo Mia such as Honey Lavender (Sweet cream ice cream layered with delicate ribbons of lavender and finished with a touch of raw organic honey - so good with perfect lavender notes!), March flavor of ice cream with Luck Charms marshmallows and Sweet Taro. On our second visit, my boyfriend kept it simple with a single cone ($5.50) of Madagascar Vanilla Bean (Made with imported ground Madagascar vanilla beans) and a kid's cup ($4.25) of March's monthly flavor Coconut Ube for me. Mark and Mia aren't exaggerating about Moo Moo Mia's ice cream as it truly is quite good: creamy, thick and not overly sweet; the texture is perfection. The Honey Lavender holds my heart but the Coconut Ube was also delicious although it tasted of 95% ube with a small 5% after taste of coconut water. Good thing I like Ube! My boyfriend's vanilla was, in his words, "The best vanilla!" and I agree that Moo Moo Mia truly elevates a basic flavor making it extra special. The consensus is that the ice cream is wonderful, no doubt. The customer service at Moo Moo Mia leaves a lot to be desired, however. During both visits the associates were very dry, somewhat curt - although not rude, per se - and are literally only there to get the job done and that's it. Even though this isn't too terrible; it prevents Moo Moo Mia from being a perfect experience. Moo Moo Mia is a delicious and quality option for an ice cream treat that you can truly taste but the lack of numerous flavor options, the teen-tiny shop and the customer service are flaws that keep it from being exceptional. Despite this, Moo Moo Mia is recommended for all ice cream lovers - whether you have a sibling or not!

However, when I spotted this store as I was walking around the area, I had to go. Inside, there were two employees, and fortunately, it was not crowded on a Monday afternoon, so I was helped immediately. I sampled three flavors: Hong Kong Milk Tea with Toasted White Chocolate, Jasmine Milk Tea Almond Stracciatella, and Honey Lavender. Hong Kong Milk Tea with Toasted White Chocolate: This was a special flavor. I LOVE Hong Kong Milk Tea, so I was really excited to try this one. However, I thought the tea flavor was way too strong, and I usually love a strong tea flavor. I really loved the textural element of the toasted white chocolate though. Jasmine Milk Tea Almond Stracciatella: Another special flavor. I also love Jasmine Milk Tea, LOL, so I had to try this as well. Honestly... this had the opposite problem of the Hong Kong Milk Tea ice cream: I could barely taste the jasmine tea flavor! Maybe the almond stracciatella masked the jasmine flavor? In my opinion, jasmine + chocolate don't go well together. Honey Lavender: This is one of their classic flavors, and it was easily the best flavor out of all of them. Incredible balance of honey and lavender!! Loved how floral the lavender flavor was, as if there is too much lavender, it can taste soapy. Luckily, that was not the case. It was so good as the flavors were on-point, it was creamy, and had a perfect amount of sweetness. It's a classic for a reason! I ended up getting a single scoop of the Honey Lavender which came out to $6.95. Honestly, pricey for a single scoop, but the flavor made up for it at least. Still, I don't think I'd go out of my way to go to Salt & Straw because it is pricey. If I am ever nearby, though, I'd probably visit again. They have really unique flavors during their monthly special, but I just hope that they execute them well the next time I visit. If not, the classics are there for a reason, and I'd be interested in trying them as well.

My first time was at their Rancho Cucamonga location. Nick, the staff member who helped me, was very nice and helpful. I asked for recommendations on their best flavors. He graciously offered them. Thank you Nick! I got to sample a handful of flavors... Boston Cream Pie, Sea Salt Caramel, Death By Chocolate, Caramel Macchiato, and Cinnamon. Thanks for the samples! All the flavors were very good except for the Cinnamon which I thought was very light in taste. Since I was driving, I chose an ice cream shake instead of a cup or cone. Caramel Macchiato was my pick! It had a really nice caramel flavor with coffee bean bits. I was slightly disappointed that they didn't pile up the ice cream to the top of the lid. It stopped at the top of the cup. I felt I was shorted some ice cream unfortunately. Hence, 4 stars! Nevertheless, Nick was amazing. His service was fantastic. Wonderful conversation and experience. Ice cream shake was yummy. It was finished before I arrived home. YES, I will come back to try their other unique flavors! Thank you Bruster's!
