PARKING: Parking is found all over in the form of lots! I parked at one about a block away. It was 6$ in total for about 2 hours? SEATING: Just bench seating that seats about 5 or 6 grown adults. SERVICE: They are so friendly here but two employees are not enough in this heatwave we are having especially since the AC wasn't really that strong either. Both women were excellent and trying their best to be quick. It was just hard when you had parties of 3+ getting orders and only two people and one work station each. I don't fault them on this but fault management. They were superstars for sure! I waited about 20 minutes because the parties ahead of me were 4 and 4. FOOD: But when they got to me, the woman was very apologetic. I got the Twix yogurt with a mix in with brownies and peanut butter. It was well worth the wait but as it was a bit hot in there, the yogurt was melting a lot faster than I would have liked. I loved that there were many pre made options and that you could also choose as you pleased. OVERALL: I would come here again but I am in no hurry. We got there on a Saturday evening and there's a line but moves relatively quickly. You can choose your base froyo - they have standard ones and seasonal ones. We got the organic New Zealand strawberry froyo as the base and I got the strawberry sunrise (#16) but without the soda so it's chopped up strawberries and pineapple chunks mixed in. You can also choose the size of the cup - I went with the small. It's so refreshing and the base froyo is not overly sweet which is perfect! First time here and I was overwhelmed with all the deliciousness that I opted for one of the premixed choices rather than making my own. I got the number 5 and it was perfect, a mix of vanilla base, Nutella, caramel, cookie dough, and sea salt. They do have special flavors that are limited, one being matcha and I really want to try that next time. Service was great and I love how this is cross between frozen yogurt and a cold stones. You can build your own or choose a menu item premade. There was quite a line when I arrived but it does move quick. This is the best ice cream in Pasadena. The delicious soft serve ice cream here is made even better by the mix-ins done on a cold stone. There are 21 choices of recommended mix-in combinations, but you are always welcome to create your own. My favorites are #7 (Reese's PB Brownie), #14 (Rocky Road), and #21 (Elephant in the Trees). There is not much to this place, it's just a simple ice cream shop with limited seating. But, the ingredients are fresh and the finished products are super tasty. We parked at De Lacey Parking, where parking is only $1 for short periods of time (I don't remember exactly how long but maybe if under an hour). We walked about 5 min to get here. At around 7PM on a Monday night, it wasn't too busy and we were able to order right away. They have their regular yogurt bases (like vanilla and chocolate) but I wanted to try the cheesecake yogurt today. I chose the #18 Strawberry Nutella pre-set add-ins with Nutella, strawberries, and chocolate chips for a size small. The froyo was light but still creamy. The Nutella had been mixed in chunks, but I love Nutella so I loved biting into it. This combination in particular suits my taste a lot and the cheesecake yogurt matched perfectly! Size small was more than enough, and they put it into a medium cup for me as well so I had more space. Overall, I'd definitely come back on a hot day! Bf and I agreed that this place ranks higher for us than other local ice cream/froyo stores like Handel's, Salt and Straw, and Yogurtland. Soft Serve ice cream with a cool concept and so many toppings to choose from! This ice cream shop has a similar concept to Coldstone. I was surprised at how well the concept would work for soft serve ice cream! How it works is you choose a 'Fresh Choice' or an ice cream base and then choose a 'Mix-In' or a group of topping mix-ins that will be combined with the ice cream flavor of your choice. When I went, the ran out of vanilla which was okay because my friend and I wanted the Belgian chocolate ice cream anyways. We chose to share a small size Nutella truffle mix-in with Belgian chocolate which was $8. It was a bit pricey for ice cream but the size was huge. I loved the ice cream combination we got! It was soft and smooth and the toppings were mixed well and added pockets of flavor and texture - it was delicious! We walked past this shop after dinner and I was intrigued by the menu. It's like a cold-stone with frozen yogurt. Their soft serve bases are your typical chocolate and vanilla but they also offer a Pinkberry-esque tart base and a seasonal strawberry dragon fruit. You can choose from the menu on house creations for mix ins or a do it yourself adventure. We chose a do it yourself adventure with tart, brownie, peanut butter, and chocolate chip with almonds on top. We realize it was a very bizarre concoction but it was very reminiscent of a PB&J + chocolate. The tart base acted like the jelly. Overall, good experience. The guys working were great. What an underwhelming experience. I came here on Saturday, December 7th around 5:00pm. There was no line like the other times I have been here, so you would think you'd be in and out with quick service with your order. There was a couple in front of me in line who waited a total of 10 minutes for their ice cream to be made, which meant I had to wait another 5-10 minutes for mine to be made, once again, there was no line, and definitely no reason for the service to take so long. It was a younger looking girl creating all the orders who kept talking to her coworker, a young gentleman, who was at the cashier the entire time and not assisting in speeding up the process to get orders created (No idea what he was working on at the cashier when he easily could've helped create the orders).  The experience was mainly underwhelming due to how long the service took for them to make the orders. The younger girl and the gentleman at the cashier were engaging in casual conversations the entire time, not putting any effort/rush in the orders. They would even say to each other "Oh I wonder what time Patagonia closes", and they'd keep stopping the work on the order they've been working on to look across the street and would just laugh and slow down the order they were working on. When they started finally working on my order, the young girl says to her coworker, "Wow, today has been so slow!" - Well, it certainly was super SLOW for those of us waiting to get our orders. Again, there was no one else waiting so no reason for the orders to be taking this long. I was ready to put on an apron and make my order myself at that point. I love love love going to 21 choices because of the infamous Saucy Sailor order. I have never had the Saucy Sailor lacking in quality before. There was barely any peanut butter/caramel/ and the cookie dough in my cup almost seemed as if they didn't even take the time to crush it upon creating it.  I would much rather go back to the other 21 Choices location in Claremont due to this inadequate quality of service at the Pasadena location. read more

They were still deciding and one of the employee motioned to me they were first so i waited behind them. 1. 21 Choices does not accept cash. That's worthy of a one star review right there. Cash money is legal tender everywhere. This feels like pure laziness on the part of the ownership and I don't get how they can be a brick and mortar retail establishment and refuse cash money. 2. They do not permit tips on credit card transactions. So, after refusing your cash money, they weirdly insist that you use cash if you want to reward their minimum wage employees who, on a warm summer night, are working like dogs. That's so weird considering their hatred of cash. It's very unfair to their employees. 3. Product. It's decently flavored and if you like dumping just about anything (candy, peanut butter, soda, etc) in your fro-yo, this is the place for you. They have it all. This gets them out of the basement with two stars. BUT... 4. I find their cold stone mix tables to be a little gross. If you're at all worried about cross-contamination either for health reasons or because you don't want your frozen treat mixed on the same surface as a bunch of root beer or whatever, you're out of luck. I know they scrape it between servings but, nah, it looks like a dirty ass counter. AND... 5. Because the employees are mixing up bananas and brownie bites and soda and peanut butter and captain crunch, the line takes too damn long. read more

Overall not bad. 4 non dairy/ vegan friendly options- the toppings ther are Oreos and some fruit options that are vegan. If you are okay with cross contamination (shared slabs and cleaning water) then you are good. If you are a purist I would just go for the frozen yogurt without the add ons. My blueberry açaí and non diary Oreos and cream was okay- I got the blue LA add in which is strawberries, oreos and something else. For 7.50 it's a lot of froyo I was not able to finish it all. The whole reason you go to 21 Choices is the mix. 20 minute drive, No Choices. A dozen other customers stacked up with the same disappointing service. Long lines suck, but that just means it's popular! I really do like coming to Pasadena. They have all these cute little stores, but the best part are the dessert shops they have at every corner. I've always liked 21 Choices. They always have a large selection as well as great service. Flavors range from fruity, to milky, to chocolate, and more. If you're not into what they have on the menu, you can always just make your own as well! I feel like the price is very reasonable too. The work that they put in to chop it all together looks exhausting and hard on the hands. Unfortunately the store is small and they do not have a public restroom. We just had dinner up the street and wanted something sweet but light, so we stopped here for a little treat. I remember when this shop was on Colorado. For some reason I thought there were 21 flavors of Fro-Yo to choose from. However, 21 Choices refers to the suggested flavor combinations that you can choose from off the menu. You can also make up your own creations from the variety of toppings available (fruits, nuts, cookies, candies, etc....) Some of items on the menu have cute & clever names like Saucy Sailor & Couch Potato. The toppings are mixed in on a cold marble slab like they do at Cold Stone. This location is smaller than the previous one, so seating is limited. The staff were friendly and graciously gave us samples before committing. They usually have 6 or 8 base flavors that you can choose from, including a non-dairy and a sugar free option. Two of my friends selected the Old School Chocolate and another went with the Non-Dairy Swiss Almond, which was made with coconut milk. Each got theirs without any toppings or add ins. I was stuffed from dinner, so I had a taste of both. The Swiss Almond tasted like Amaretto, and the Old School Chocolate had a rich chocolate flavor. Both were yummy & silky smooth. I want to love them, but the quality and customer service has gone down - it's hit and miss, not sure if it's the yogurt that's runny already when employees make it or they over mix n when it's all said and done the product is like a blob of smoothie rather than nice frozen mixed yogurt that holds up.
