Decent to-go dessert spot in the heart of cute San Marino. They have soft serve everything from froyo to gelato and even Dole Whip! It's self serve with an abundance of choices for flavors and toppings. Service is efficient - prices are kinda high imo - but still a solid choice if you're in the area. We stopped in after having lunch next door and were promptly greeted by staff who explained how the self serve aspect worked. Grab what size you want, fill up the cup with anything you choose, then they weigh it and calculate the cost. We went for a medium cup to share btwn the two of us and it was more than we needed. We opted for the weekly special Strawberry Gelato and topped it with dark chocolate chips and coconut - it tasted lovely and was a great combination. The variety of toppings is impressive- so many choices - a whole wall full - and they even had popping boba and grass jellies! This is definitely a to-go place - there's only one small bench at the entrance so no where to sit or hang out except the shared courtyard outside which is very nice. Everything was clean and tidy. The staff were efficient but not especially warm or welcoming - we got the feeling it's just a very "get in get out" kinda vibe. They do have a cute photo wall for those IG-worthy shots though lol. Prices seemed high to us. We were a tad surprised. But the gelato and toppings were fresh and very good quality. read more

This is only a review of their Dole float. I've been meaning to come to here to try thier float and promised myself that if I was in the area, rain or shine, I would try it. I happen to be there on a Tuesday night and had to get it! I remember having fond memories of having the dole whip at Disney land near the tiki room, and just enjoying every bite of it. When I came in, I noticed the space is quite narrow: there's really just room for a small table or two, the counter and the hallway that has the toppings and yogurt dispensers on either side. The person up front was very friendly and recommended getting the small size, which is served generously above the rim, topped with a umbrella and a maraschino cherry. The float 'soda' is pineapple juice, so the sweetness of it cuts the tartness of the dole soft serve! I'm glad I got this size, because it was a lot to consume, and I think would be great to share with another person. Regardless, I shared it with my mom, who also enjoyed it. I think this would be amazing during a hot day in summer! But overall, yummy, tart, sweet, refreshing and delicious!! If you enjoy Disneyland's signature dole whip, this is the only place I know outside of the theme park that sells it, with a sweet pineapple juice twist! read more

It was scorching hot outside today (9/5) so we stopped by to get some froyo and check out their dole whip. Their dole whip didn't really taste like the real dole whip I had back in Hawaii. It was more sour and not much of the pineapple tastes in it. On the other hand, I like their chocolate froyo because it was CHOCOLATELY. We shared a medium size cup but to me it was very pricey. $10 for a med size cup with nearly any toppings on it!! The place is very small with nearly any place to sit inside, but there are tables outside which I refused to sit due to the scorching hot weather. They should have at least used part of the back for some seatings. read more

Quaint store front with weekly offerings of various flavors ( the dole whip is a permanent offering ) with a wall full of fun toppings to add on as well as some fresh items located in a 'salad bar' fashion. My boyfriend and I visited this shop last night (Tuesday July 16th) we were on our way home from dinner. I remembered that they have dole whip. We both had our first dole whip together at Disneyland the week before! Yes, crazy I know. So I pulled over and parked and we jumped outta the car! At first he said he was too full. **Rating this experience with a toddler** #2 outing of what my toddler and I call "dessert adventures", we decided to check out Swirlz. We picked this spot because of the abundant choice of toppings, and my toddler has been talking about "candy (aka. Skittles) and gummy bears" all day. I was particularly impressed with how good the dole whip tasted! I would DEFINITELY come here again for the pineapple dole whip. I did NOT like the strawberry, and my son didn't either, even though strawberry is his favorite ice cream flavor. We filled the medium-sized cup to the brim, and I think it was just shy of $10. We topped it with so much chocolate and candy, and only later did I notice that there was fruit on the other side. Oops! The store associate was somewhat friendly. She only gave me one sample cup, I wish she gave us at least 2. Granted, it was still nice they are letting us sample, during covid and all. My sister was craving for pineapple coke whip so we came here on a Saturday afternoon for dessert. The place is very small inside. The flavors are one side and the toppings are next to cashier. We shared pineapple and watermelon whip. We sat outside and could enjoy my dessert because another family was loud. Anyway. Nice and tasty frozen yogurt place right in San Marino. They also serve dole whip float which was my favorite here. They had the classic pineapple dole whip and watermelon. They also have self serve frozen yogurt where you can add toppings yourself (just like yoghurt land). The watermelon dole whip float was pretty unique, watermelon frozen yoghurt on top and watermelon slushy on the bottom. It tasted even better when you mix both together. Super refreshing and not too sweet as well. I do wish that they have more options with this. Frozen yogurt tasted fresh, but nothing out of the ordinary. Came here after we saw a post on facebook from the SGV Eats group and decided to give it a try. Very small parlor with lots of street parking. No indoor tables to dine inside and very limited seating outdoor. My significant other and I ordered their pineapple and watermelon dole whip. They also have frozen yogurt and i believe gelato or ice cream. Their dolewhip is made behind the scenes and it did take some time before we received our order. They have different sizes as well for you to choose from. Their frozen yogurt is self serve on the left side with many toppings to choose from on the wall. They're all dry toppings but I didn't see if they had wet toppings such as fruit on the side. Their dole whip floats were good. Reminded me of Disneyland. Their watermelon dole whip had 2 flavors, green watermelon or watermelon punch. I opted for the punch but curious what the green watermelon entails. Their watermelon float was delicious on a hot day. The juice was a little too sweet for me but it was better than the pineapple which was very tart. Their watermelon float comes with a slice of watermelon compared to the pineapple. Their Dole Whip is overpriced for me. (Keywords: for me). Never again. Cashier deadass asked me, "that's expensive?!?" when I told her the small size was expensive. Like damn, my bad I'm broke . I'm trying here!! The cashier today (7/14) during the evening (6:30pmish) had the bright idea circumvent the price by getting a small self-serve swirl and put pineapple juice in there. It worked... until it didn't. The juice must've been mad dense because that $4 became $6.46, so basically the same price at the small cup, but I probably had less juice. Cashier was overall pretty nice, so I'll give her that. read more

A charming little fro-yo parlor in Huntington. After visiting The Huntington Library, we stopped by this parlor for some Dole whip fro-yo. Too many choices to choose from. We asked the owner to have some sampling cups. After trying out a few flavors, we settled on the pineapple whip topped with marshmallows and chocolate. As the weather was above 90f, the fro-yo tasted so good and refreshing. Although the shop is small, they have all the popular flavors and toppings for customers to choose. Color me impressed with Swirlz! I've always seen this place and wanted to try. Seeing that they have "NSA" (no sugar added) flavors was a bonus. This weekend's was NSA Cake Batter and when I asked what it's sweeten with, it is with Sucralose, but artificial sweeteners may vary depending on their NSA flavor. The Cake Batter flavor was good & I also liked their Strawberry (custard) as well. I've missed places where you can create your own froyo bowl with toppings! I topped with some blueberries, mochi, and granola. Current pricing is $0.59/oz. Due to the heatwave, lots of people were here after dinner when we came & outdoor seating is limited. Refreshing place for self serve yogurt and toppings! We walked by on way to dinner and saw "Dole" and pineapple on signage and we were reminded of Dole Whip from Hawaii! Standard self service frozen yogurt with many candy and fruity topping options. And relatively cheap too! Don't forget to use Yelp checkin for a small discount. We got the signature Dole pineapple with a variety of candies (churro Cinnamon Toast Crunch, boba bursts, and mango) as well as the coffee slush. The pineapple was tart and tasty. The sweet toppings were a great add to the yogurt. The coffee slush does taste like coffee but maybe the ratio of ice particle was a bit high (one the liquid was gone the ice just taste like ice). Very cute little place!!! Basically a Yogurtland but i feel like with better flavors. Tons of toppings to choose from!!! What lured me to try this place out was I had a huge craving for pineapple dole whip (who doesn't love that stuff?!) and I decided to look up on here if there was any place I could get it from (didn't wanna sell my kids just to get into Disneyland to get some ) and luckily this place has it as a regular flavor. Super amazing fro-yo. Very small place, and you won't get lost easily. The flavors are amazing. I just had simple strawberry and vanilla, but it was worth the drive. The fruit is fresh and the other toppings aren't stale. The people there are super professional and nice. You won't really get any better than this. You'll be in and out in less than 10 minutes. Lots of parking in front, on the street. They also have areas outside you can eat the fro-yo, if you can't wait to get in your car. Seriously, if I could give this place 10 stars, I would! I wasn't startled. The woman was RUDE. You can quite laws and take sanitary precautions without being rude. All other people who have been at the register have been super nice! I said I didn't need a lid but I wanted a spoon because I'd be eating it outside. I even said, jokingly, that the yogurt wouldn't last more than 5 seconds in attempts to break the rudeness. Originally, my favorite self-serve froyo place was called Yogurt Haven in Eagle Rock, but it shut down in 2017. I hated Yogurtland because it was too sweet but I had to bear with it for a couple of years until I discovered this gem!!!! It reminds me of Yogurt Haven, affordable, self-serve, local community based, and the flavors are SO diverse (I've seen Tiger's milk boba flavored, Vietnamese coffee flavored, black sesame flavored, and so many other ones i've never seen before) and the sweetness is just right. Not too sweet or tart, which is perfect because you can eat a lot of it without feeling terrible! The flavors change every week! The topping selection is awesome with a bunch of cereals, chocolates, fresh fruit and syrup. The fruit is great every time; not rotten but also not underripe. The workers are so sweet and remember the regulars (The minute my boyfriend and I walk in, the nice lady at the counter already puts in our rewards number! lol!) and the community is beautiful. I had kept seeing post about this place on SGV facebook, and definitely had to try when I kept seeing different posts about the Dole Whip froyo. I had gotten a mix of both the watermelon and classic Dole Whip to try to see the difference, as well as some toppings of mochi and strawberry. For the classic Dole Whip flavor, this was very tasty and reminded me very close of the one that I would get at Disney Land. A nice, sweet, not super tarty flavor that you can keep eating forever. I unfortunately did not like the watermelon Dole Whip, and felt the extra flavoring made it a bit worse. It tasted almost like artificial watermelon and felt like I had just been drinking watermelon syrup at a certain point. Although it still was saved by the fact that it was mixed with some Dole Whip, I definitely was not a big fan for the additional flavoring. However, would want to come back again for their Dole Whip!
