This little dessert place is located in the food court on the first floor of the mall. It has very enticing flavors and combinations! I was instantly drawn to the hojicha and matcha offerings! I got the hojicha affogato and wow... it is TINY! Hahaha! I was shocked when it came out! For $7.50 you'd expect a drink dessert worth your while but this thing was small and gone instantly. It was tasty but something I'd never get again bc it's just not worth the money. lol!

Ordered a vanilla caramel chunk single scoop with a cone. The ice cream was thick and creamy, the waffle cone was nice and warm and workers were friendly. This spot is a good place for a fast and tasty sweet treat!
There are so many good dessert places to choose from in the Arcadia Shopping Mall. Churns Creamery is a relatively new ice cream and coffee shop. We came here to try their ice cream. Food: 5/5 Their ice cream flavors were unique featuring some Asian inspired flavors like yuzu and kumquat and some unique flavors like chunks & swirls and pbs crisp. I we got their kumquat and chunks & swirl flavors. Both of them were really good. The kumquat was really rich yet not too sweet. Service: 5/5 The servers were very helpful and let us try some different flavors. The cute part is that they have lactate for anyone who has lactose intolerance.
3 stars Located inside the food court, this little tea and ice cream shop serves some of the same beverages as the stall near it - the matchas and hojichas. The service was nice and the hojicha latte I got was decent, but the price point is high for what I got. I don't really think it stands out here, especially with Warabimochi Kamakura selling the same thing or the tea shops nearby like Boba Time, Lollicup, Wushiland, Easweet Boba, and Cha Redefine.
Pandan latte was pleasantly delicious. Will def try another drink next time. The employee was also very helpful.
The store is located at the Arcadia mall food court area. We tried strawberry and chocolate ice cream and a matcha latte (got it unsweetened). The ice cream is a good dense texture. The matcha had a nice bold flavor. Wait can be a bit long as only one person was working - taking the orders and making the drinks/ice cream.
This ice cream shop is located within the mall and while it took us a bit to find it (as we've never been to this mall); it was so worth it! We got the pandan and the cheesecake flavored ice cream which were both very tasty and creamy. But the pandan stood out the most to me since it actually tasted like pandan! Whenever I try Filipino flavors it usually doesn't taste quite like how it tastes back home but this pandan tasted like it came right out of manila would highly recommend!
Ordered caramel nut ice cream scoop in a cup $5.50 if i wanted a cone it's another $1.50. Ice cream tastes nice the nut in my scoop didn't seem to be the perfect match to me. I ate it all regardless! Was quick service and easily found in center if malls food court. As fun tj eat ice cream and walk around shopping!
I'm absolutely in love with the lemon biscoff cheesecake. It's has the perfect amount of lemon in there and there's a texture in the ice cream so it's not all smooth. 100% will eat again next time I'm at the mall. I fortunately dont need it, but I noticed a bowl with lactaid for my lactose intolerant friends , which I think is great to offer so everyone can enjoy the ice cream

We ended ho getting the hojicha and matcha with oreos. Yummy and creamy. And the scoops were massive. Good break after shopping in Santa Anita mall.

My girlfriend is completely obsessed with their hojicha. It taste way more clean than most of the Hojicha we previously had. We usually go with 75% sweetness. These guys are not just only great at making bomb drinks; they have awesome ice cream too!
Located in the food court of the mall, across from chick fil a, Churnt creamery has some unique flavors of ice cream and some flavors rotate and they'll have special limited time flavors. You can get ice cream scoops in cups or cones and they also have affogatos, milkshakes, and drinks/lattes that also come in matcha, hojicha or coffee flavors. Staff are friendly and help with suggestions on ive cream flavors that go with your drink/milkshake. I had a hojicha milkshake with vanilla ice cream. On occasion, they will have promos on Instagram for discounts if you follow them, so we went for their father's day promo for a treat for the whole family! read more
Idc how good or bad your ice cream is. The customer service shouldn't be bad. Unfortunately my experience yesterday with the lady who took my order came off extremely rude. I asked her which flavor tastes better and her response was and I quote "I don't eat ice cream so idk" lmfaooo like bih, you work at an ice cream shop. Tf you think people are gonna ask you? And it wasn't even like they had a long line and other people were waiting to order. I was literally the only one there. It's located in a mall food court so there plenty of other things to try. SO GOOD. Their ice cream flavors are excellent in terms of variety and flavor. They also have milkshakes, matcha, espresso, and refreshers. Literally the perfect spot for a sweet bite especially in this summer heat. I came by on a Monday and was able to sample several of their ice cream flavors. I asked to try their most popular ones (Chunks&Swirls, Yuzu) and instantly realized why they were a hit. I walked away with a pint of their signature Chunks & Swirls flavor. This spot has Vegan and Non-Dairy options which is a HUGE plus. Main detriment is that it's at the mall and can take a while to find parking, but thankfully it's very accessible being right in the food court. I'll be back to try their drinks soon! read more

Located in front of the Chick Fil A inside Santa Anita mall, Churnt Creamery is a solid ice cream shop. They give free samples and I ended up getting a single scoop of the hojicha flavor which was $5.50 ($6.06 after tax). The size of the scoop was generous imo, at least 1.5x the size of Wanderlust Creamery. Ice cream itself was creamy. I would definitely come back. I think they have a good variety of flavors and the pricing is reasonable. I came on a Monday around 6 pm and was the only one in line, I got helped immediately. They also sell pints you can take home for $12. read more
I got the hojicha icecream, the ice cream is very creamy and has a nice rich flavor, almost smoky taste. My sister got the pandan cake icecream, it was strong in pandan flavor but a little on the artificial side, not my favorite, but the cake bits inside made up for it. Service is good, you can ask for samples if you want to try before buying. The matcha drink was a little weak, not good quality in my opinion, you can skip the matcha latte. read more

I wanted ice cream at the mall so stopped by Churnt. The Yuzu sorbet was really refreshing and I bought a small pint of it for a party and it was a hit. Their matcha lattes here are also really good. I actually ordered here twice as a test. Once without any sweetness to taste the matcha and the other with the minimum. You can taste the quality and see them at work using the whisk so it's not premade matcha. I appreciate that they use ceremonial grade matcha even though the majority of people won't be able to differentiate between culinary and ceremony when creamers and sweeteners are involved. Also tried their Hojicha latte which was good. It had a more smoked taste. I didn't order the matcha affogato but the person after me did and it looked pretty good... Overall solid place in the mall for matcha/Hojicha and ice cream read more

$7+ for a VERY small drink with more than half of it filled with ice (see photo) That being said, the drink itself is DELICIOUS but I will not be returning because it is not worth that value, unfortunately. read more

We ordered 3 things. Matcha affogato was very tasty, made with good matcha. Portion is very small though definitely the smallest of all 3. Good thing we got it for 25% off. I think we'd be very upset to pay full price. Yuzu gelato was special. Decent. The lady was friendly and offered free samples before you order. Milkshake was tasty as well, but again surprisingly small portion given how much they are charging. Overall, all items here we tried were good and services were good, but I am not sure we will come back again. There are so many other dessert and drink places at this mall. With the same price could totally have gone elsewhere to get things just as good and cheaper. read more

Don't underestimate this kiosk because it's in a food court. This is my third time ordering their matcha. Since I haven't had it in a while, I was surprised to be hit with such strong matcha in my first sip until the last. I was so caffeinated afterwards?? I want to come back to try their happy hour coffee drinks before 2pm. The staff is super quick and attentive. Their ice cream is also fantastic. You can't go wrong with any of them! read more

Last time, I went here for their ice cream (Choco Mint) and it's amazing. It's soft, smooth and has enough topping to enjoy every bite. Today, I came back to try Iced Hojicha Latte since that caught my attention in the small board. The service is very good. They tend to make coffee drinks really quick after placing an order. It came out good, it's well balance, mildly sweet, and goes well with oat milk. Would come back again and do check it out if you're in the food court in the Shops of Santa Anita. :) read more

Wow. Wow. WOW!!!!! This place is THE place to get matcha! I had just finished eating at another restaurant, and the aesthetics of this cute shop made me cave into ordering THREE matcha lattes. I have to say, Churnt Creamery is perfect if you're ever in the area to enjoy a matcha AND ice cream. Special shoutout to the employee with red hair, she provided excellent customer service and made my matcha with thoughtful precision. It tasted just like the days when I studied abroad in Kyoto! Not bad, not amazing.. Flavors are unique and the idea is good, but it's just okay and in my opinion the actual flavors are too subtle. Pandan coconut was yummy, but could have been more pandan-forward. The texture of their ice cream is also not as rich as creamy as I would like- a little bit icy. If you're at the mall and really craving ice cream, it's decently priced and good for what it is, but I personally wouldn't get it again. read more

I thought this ice cream was good but also not something out of the norm. I did enjoy that the flavors were very unique. I ended up getting a pumpkin oreo scoop on a waffle cone. They literally will give you a scoop, nothing more. Inside of the waffle cone wasn't packed with ice cream so it was just a hollo center. Waffle itself was alright, it tasted okay but not amazing. Ice cream was pretty hard though it did taste good. Overall it's pretty pricey especially since it's located at in the Santa Anita Malls. Not bad not amazing IMO. read more

Churnt Creamery is an ice cream shop with creative Asian flavors. This is another location in the Santa Anita Mall in the Food Court. The people behind the counter were nice and let me try a lot of ice cream samples. Also, there's plenty of food court seating nearby as well. The biscoff croffle was warm and a good size for the price. It wasn't as sweet as I expected, and I wish there was a filling in the croissant or something to enhance the flavor. However, this is a great little sweet treat when you're at the mall! read more
So so yummy! gluten free chocolate ice cream still tastes good. It doesn't taste like a gluten free ice cream. It just tastes normal! A major plus to them for having free Lactaid and knowing their audience. They make their whipped cream as well. They don't use store brought ones. In the middle of a food court and it's not hard to miss. read more
Came to try their unique flavors! Only one person working and he was very quick. Offered us free samples and then took our order. Ambiance was slightly noisy since it's next to the food court. We got the double scoop for $7.50 each. Matcha oreo was mostly matcha flavor except when you bite the oreo bites. Durian flavor was strongly durian, got the authentic taste and creamy. The taro w blueberry crumbs was mostly taro and couldn't taste the blueberry to be honest. Overall, their flavors are on the sweeter side (gets sweeter the more you eat it) but it's very creamy and they give a pretty big scoop! read more

Stopped by for the first time on Saturday, 05/11/24. Located inside the Santa Anita Mall aka Arcadia Mall and near the Food Court area. I ordered the following: - 1 scoop in a cup (matcha oreo flavor) = $5 TOTAL WITH TAX = $5.51 Sooo good and I would like to try out the other unique flavors. You also get sample some of their ice cream flavors. Looks like this is the second location that recently opened up (there's one in Torrance per my research). Overall 5/5. read more

Churnt Creamery is located on the lower lever of the Santa Anita mall in the food court. They offer free samples of the ice cream as well as lactaid! We received our ice cream very quickly and it was good. Not the best cream I've ever had, but certainly the best hard ice cream available at the Santa Anita mall! They also have somewhat unique flavors such as ube and Thai tea. read more
Such a cute little kiosk in the Arcadia mall! The flavors are incredible and we couldn't try just one! The flavors are so unique and intense, especially for such a small kiosk, it may just be the best little ice cream spot I've seen! read more
