First, communication and customer service from TCMI is minimal. Again, part of its appeal for some, I'm sure. You can really stay here and feel pretty alone and unbothered. That said, if you like customer service and quick answers, this place may not be for you. They clearly state if there is a non-life threatening problem in the evening, save it for the next morning. When you come in from St. George you'll find a few signs that say Kayenta. Turn down that main road and you'll see a small orange sign on the left that says Crescent Moon Inn with an arrow. You'll see the rooms, but the road basically curves behind the property which can make it a little hard to find your room. But, the rooms are clearly labeled on the doors once you park and walk around front. Again, I think the subtlety of this place might appeal to a specific traveler. Check-in directions are clearly outlined in the email. There will be no one here to meet you. Again, for some people I think this would be ideal. I kind of wish there was someone around, though, just in case we had questions. For example, we got a little lost finding the Inn and I called to get help, but no one answered. I left a voice mail, but my call was never returned. We stayed in the Morning Star Suit. It was very clean, sparsely furnished, but nice. It has a spacious condo-feel. The kitchen has a full-size fridge, electric stove, microwave, toaster, and coffee maker (and coffee/ filters/ individual cream). The kitchen has basic kitchen essentials for cooking, but is lacking salt and pepper, so bring that if you want to cook! We went down the road to Harmon's to pick up a few things. It's only about 5 miles. The living room has a three seat sofa but it is actually an outdoor type piece of furniture and not super comfortable if you want to lounge. The TV works well and they offer Roku which you can use to login to any streaming services you have. They also have Dish TV channels. Wifi password is provided. There are two patios, one that looks over the road and one that looks towards the mountains/lake. Both seem to have beautiful views but the mosquitoes were so bad we, sadly, couldn't enjoy them. Overall, it's a really nice space that I think could be really special. Because of our tight schedule we couldn't visit the artist village down the road, but it is within walking distance if it's not too hot. Even though the lack of communication is a negative for me, I am still giving a positive review because it's pretty clear from the beginning that this is their style and I knew what I was getting into.

We stayed in one of the downstairs units...2 rooms (bedroom/bath and sitting room with a full kitchen!) Each unit also includes a private patio. But as lovely as the rooms were...the VIEW was what was magical! We spent the mornings with coffee on the patio as long as we could (it was summer and HOT during the day!) The only thing missing was a small table/eating area. With a full kitchen offered, there should also be a place to eat that isn't on the couch using the coffee table!

Plus the road near the inn is loud, even late at night big trucks go by.

The room was ready for us to go to and rest for a minute /shower before dinner. The mattress was sooooo comfortable! The AC was frigid! The blackout shade for the window as incredibly amazing! We were able to stay in bed undisturbed by the sunlight until after 1pm! The shower was beyond refreshing, but if someone were to desire taking a bath.... Sitting down they could NOT reach the liquid soap/shampoo/conditioner. The front desk clerk was very helpful and the best part of this specific hotel was that the laundry facilities were directly next door to our room! Absolutely recommended!!!

Well, I never thought I would stay in this place again. The last time we stayed here was 15 years…read moreago. And back then, I was not impressed. It's Valentine's Day. It's President's Day weekend. But most importantly, it's also my daughter's 20th birthday. We decided to get away from the freezing temperatures if Salt Lake City yesterday. With this much planning, you're not gone to get a room without paying through the nose for it. Since I'm cheap, we booked a room here, at the St. George Inn & Suites. We paid $475 for two nights. They're normally $89. This is what $475 got us. Two Queen beds. A 32" LG tv, a fridge, a microwave, teal everywhere outside, and two palm-looking paintings on the wall. I feel like I have stepped into the 70's. I'm not sure what theme these guys are going for. When you go into the bathroom you feel claustrophobic. Not to mention, I've never seen a toilet shaped like that. I shudder to think how old it is. When you sit on the bed, you can feel the springs and you hit the box springs when you sit in the edge of the bed. The room looks run down. Floor plastic molding is coming off the wall, the door is banged up, the paint on the door molding is chipped, and someone took a sign off the door years ago and didn't bother to clean off the sticky residue. You can tell it's been a long time since it is brown now. Check in is at 3pm. We arrived in St. George at 1pm so we called the front desk to ask if we could check in early. They said the room was ready but they would have to charge $25. What??? I'm dreading the night. I'm hoping that I don't get cooties tonight. $489 and they didn't even have maid service. We don't have clean towels in the room. I'm making sure in plan better next time and hope I never end up here again!

Wow - this resort is gorgeous!…read more I spent the weekend on property at the Greater Zion Cup PPA Tour pickleball tournament and also spent some time in the resort lobby + restaurants. Service was mostly attentive and we were pleased with the transportation situation / golf cart rides to and from the courts and the main area. We did not stay on property but will certainly consider doing so in the future. It sounds like they are in the process of expanding and adding even more amenities in the future. They asked me how I liked Sagestone Spa, and cheerily said, "Good news, we have an amazing spa with a lot of the same staff." I said, "It's not the same. It's not the same at all." I hated Black Desert. I hate what they're doing to Ivins. It's vulgar and crass and not at all the reason I have been going out to the desert for a visit for the past 27 years. Black Desert is the place for golf bros, not for people like me. It's just like Palm Springs now. They had a singer at a bar in the lobby and the Golf Bro swagger is not for me. They're absolutely going to ruin Red Mountain, too. They're going to litter up Snow Canyon. I like the views best at Red Mountain. I have visited that spot many times over the past 27 years. I loved how it was walkable to the entrance of Snow Canyon and had unobstructed views of the red sand cliffs and a lava field with a trail. It was so peaceful sitting in my room with the door open, overlooking the lava field. Or lying in a hammock while watching the sunset colors on the red cliffs, or the moonrise, or a storm roll in. Losing my peaceful place to this overblown and overpriced "perfection is not for me." So, ultimately, they lost a customer. Also, it's the desert, and I just don't see how golf in the desert is sustainable with there already being a ton of golf. Everyone else can enjoy this, but I'm going to cry over the peace that was. 1 star because the staff were really nice and listened to me being upset about Red Mountain Resort being destroyed by the company they work for. But only 1 star because none of them have a deep understanding of what I loved about Red Mountain Resort with its funky older buildings, peace, and quiet. I'm in the minority but I stand by how I feel.

The downer was there was no ice machine which is kind of a bummer for a hotel is such a hit region or Utah. From the time we arrived, to the time we left we were treated like family. Travis (the owner) was available daily to make sure our stay was as perfect as can be. We enjoyed the spacious and beautifully maintained sites, the sparkling clean bathrooms, the inviting pool and spa, and the sports courts. We also rented a fire ring which he personally delivered. We even had an embarrassing incident when our friend's car leaked oil on the concrete. Observing the pride that he has in his business I know this must have been upsetting, but he tried to make us feel better by reminding us that "nobody died" and it will all be okay.
